Grian: I think we made the right choice.

Scar: But a hoe can build you a crop, and a future

Grian: ... Scar, are you the boogeyman?

Scar: ... No?

Grian: Well... Scar's not a good liar so...

Scar: I'm not. And that's why I say... A diamond hoe can build you a future, a sword just brings you destruction-

Grian: -tch, right. I'm not being sold anything today.

This conversation gets right to the rift at the heart of desert duo; Scar chooses peace and whimsy, where Grian chooses violence and caprice.

Sure, every now and again, they can push or pull eachother in one direction or another. But over time they've both learned that it'll lead them to destruction. But, once again, Scar offers Grian the hand of peaceful friendship. And once again, Grian pushes it away in derision. Scar is always willing to offer Grian that hand. But Grian can never seem to let himself follow. He can only accept their friendship on his own terms, when they work together to cause mischief and mayhem.
