I've been tagged by @amwolowicz to explain the story behind my url. Thank you so much!

So, once upon a time I had an account on ff.net, where I started my journey with fanfiction all those years ago. I got it mostly because I wanted to bookmark my favourite stories (mostly HP fandom), but the more I read the more interested i became and finally I decided to try and post my fanfiction there too.

I only posted a few things. I had a 40k Bucky Barnes x reader series there, and I absolutely loved it! I also wrote a few short things for LOTR and Kuroshirsuji. In Polish, of course, because I was young and couldn't speak English very well.

My name there was SilenceAt7, I'm not sure why I chose it. I like silence, especially the one covering the world in winter (I think I set up the account around winter) and 'at7' just sounded nice. It was dark by that time during winter.

And then one time I decided to go and post my stuff on Tumblr too, so I made this side-blog, but had absolutely no idea what to name it. I wanted it to be a little different, but didn't have a good idea, so I just went with silence-burns. I wanted it to be temporary, and change it once I got a better idea. I wanted to focus on creating the blog first, because there was a lot of work with themes etc.

And then some of my fics got traction and people started following me and recognizing my blog, and I was scared of changing my url because I didn't want them to lose me/not recognize me anymore. So I left it 🤷

I only (kind of) regret deleting almost all the fics from my ff.net account. I absolutely loved my Bucky series, and people loved it too, which was so encouraging and filled me with so much love!! ...but people kept stealing it, and it became really notorious and exhausting and I got tired of seeing my work on some other sites, where people claimed to have written it. That's why I switched to writing mostly one-shots in the first years of this blog. It hurt less.
