A cable car ride to the top of Schilthorn Mountain, which was completely shrouded in clouds at the top so we got absolutely zero view! DAY 9: PIZ GLORIA, SCHILTHORN, SWITZERLAND as seen in On Her Majesty's Secret Service "It´s a treat having a man here for once."

On Her Majesty's Secret Service - another alternative Bond poster by Gokaiju. A great design and there is a lot to read into it.

Diana Rigg as Tracy stands against the background of Piz Gloria atop the Schilthorn in Switzerland. Arguably the most iconic location in a Bond movie.

In between the two mirrored images of Piz Gloria is the 'OO7' hanging like a Christmas tree decoration (with the movie being set at Christmas).

The reverse images of Piz Gloria and the snow falling off the top one into the bottom one is likely to represent a sand timer and a nod to the "We Have All The Time in the World" song that plays during the movie (as well as being the movie's closing line).

The images of George Lazenby down the right side appear to be from when he is in the car the end of the movie.

I also nearly missed the profile of Telly Savalas as Blofeld at the top of the poster.

It’s been only two weeks since Adelia’s plane touched down in Cairo. The small apartment she’s rented under an alias (Adelia Zahra), is modest and discreet, nestled near the foothills of Sinai, positioned on the border of the St Caterhine Protectorate Nature Reserve. While the apartment may be small, the irrigated garden of the property is large and extends out towards a long cluster of fig trees, providing adequate privacy whilst also allowing her a clear view of any approach to the door.

The climate here is so different to Switzerland, pleasingly so in fact. Still, it’s been a long time since she truly considered The Schilthorn home; the SPECTRE base inside which she suspects Blofeld still resides; the only true Father figure in her life – how she hates him. Here she sits in a beautiful garden, half way across the world and still she can feel his overbearing presence. Did she really manage to escape, or is this just another play in a long game she’s long grown tired of? Well, no use sitting here waiting to find out; she may as well enjoy the time she has left, right? After all, she is under no illusions that when SPECTRE finally find her, they will kill her.

Showering and changing into something for the evening, Adelia leaves the small Villa and slowly walks down a dirt path towards the town as dusk swiftly descends. Approaching Dahab, a small hotel situated on the edge of St Catherine, one she knows to have a particularly good cocktail menu, she sits down and orders a drink. The choice of venue is deliberate; there are other westerners here, the kind with money - the kind that provide good camouflage for a woman drinking alone; one that has the unmistakable look of a classic English rose.

Noticing another woman sitting alone at the other end of the bar - undeniably pretty, with defiant dark curls, Adelia's gaze admittedly lingers a little longer than intended. She's too beautiful to be here alone, her husband will probably join her in a minute and dash any hope of acquaintance and yet Adelia can't help but take one last look in her direction, a faint smile playing on her lips.

Origen de James Bond

El artífice de esta popular serie de novelas y películas sobre espías fue el escritor, periodista y oficial de inteligencia británico Ian Lancaster Fleming. Escribió 12 novelas sobre James Bond, así como 9 cuentos sobre aventuras de un agente que utilizaba armas y coches de vanguardia.

Después de su muerte han surgido otros escritores autorizados de esta franquicia de películas, como John Gardner y Raymond Benson.

En el año 1962 se estrenó en Londres la primera película titulada "Doctor No", protagonizada por Sean Connery y Úrsula Andrews en el papel de Chica Bond. En la trama de esta primera película el Agente 007 va a Jamaica a investigar la muerte de un jefe de inteligencia británico a manos de la Organización Spectre (Ejecutivo Especial para Contrainteligencia, Terrorismo, Venganza y Extorsión).

¿Quién es James Bond?

James Bond nace como un personaje ficticio de la Guerra Fría, que ha sido referencia en el mundo del espionaje y de la cultura de masas. El nombre del personaje fue inspirado por un ornitólogo americano llamado James Bond.

Este emblemático y seductor personaje protagonista es un agente secreto internacional, adscrito al Servicio de Inteligencia Británico.

Nació el 15 de noviembre de 1920 en Wattenscheid, Alemania.
