"Whispers of Life: A Cellular Symphony"
Tumblr media
In a world of cells, so small and grand,
A poetic journey, we shall now command.
With words of wonder and verses sincere,
Let’s embark on a poetic frontier.
From nucleus to cytoplasm’s embrace,
A symphony of life, in this sacred space.
Mitochondria dance with boundless glee,
Igniting energy, setting cells free.
Ribosomes unite in their protein chore,
Stitching amino acids, strand by strand, galore.
Golgi apparatus, a packaging master,
Sorting and shipping, a diligent taskmaster.
Lysosomes, the cleaners, with acidic might,
Digesting waste, keeping cells bright.
Endoplasmic reticulum, an intricate net,
Carrying messages, secrets it lets.
Cell membrane guards, a vigilant shield,
Allowing passage to only what’s revealed.
Chromosomes twirl, a genetic waltz,
Unravelling tales in each DNA vaults.
In this microscopic realm, a marvel unfolds,
Where poetry and science, their tales are told.
A dance of life, with each cell’s story,
Weaving together in intricate glory.
So let’s celebrate cells, with poetry’s art,
Unravelling mysteries, a captivating start.
For in this world of wonders, great and small,
The beauty of life resides in cells’ thrall.

My Poem Was Published as a Scientific Paper and Everyone Learned Something
Onomatopoeia mixed with
alliteration
produces vibrations that raise
unexplainable
poetic sorcery,
of which I will,
today,
hypothesize that words
are emphatically
needed in vast arrays,
amounts, sizes
in order to advance
scientific knowledge.
Observe!
Read the following words
and tell me,
fellow explorers,
you do not have a sudden
urge to find out more:
anastomosis,
cassiopeia andromeda,
Heisenberg’s Inequality, boudinage,
labyrinthitis, fenestrane,
chordae tendinae,
gynoecious cucumbers,
carpenter bees,
Zephyrs-
New
words are books
that haven’t been read yet,
utterances and verses
not mentioned -
like a poem
not read to a lover
but hidden,
folded, crumpled
in a pocket.
Nothing will happen
unless the words
are read, relished
and declared
for discovery’s sake.
One cannot read poetry
without curiosity,
one cannot make sense
of the world
either.
Are poets scientists
or are
scientists poets?
I think we will
borrow words
from each other,
finish each other’s sentences,
like lovers do.

Almost every situation can be assuaged by the prowess of a scientist or a poet. Those two positions are miles apart in theoretical and professional orientation. If you're neither, you must consider that which fuels your perspective on issues outside of your purview. When isometric situations stumble into your path, insight is your only saving grace. It's important to note that a scientist and poet can be interlaced into a single entity employed to bridge the cavernous space between the ears of the opinionated, in the name of science and the philosophy of common sense
