Scout carry .

When using a day pack that doesn't ride to low I prefer to carry scout style in the small of the back ,especially if likely to bump into folks on the trail that may be non knife friendly .

 Usual suspects of Lowa boots , Kifary E&E , PIG gloves and knife by me .
