not ideal and honestly if the alternative wasn’t the entire universe being wiped out then I’d expect a bigger deal to be made of it

So I’m not entirely sure how I feel about the finale. Like.. it had a lot to deal with and I feel it dealt with most of it p well (with some exceptions) - I particularly enjoyed the trisected Doc and how it allowed all three strands of the story to have her in. But also..I feel like a whole lot of the ep wasn’t needed for the finale? It all felt as though it was building up to something huge and lore-changing, and I’d seen so many amazing posts about how Chibbs seemed to be bringing in the EU and Lungbarrow that the relative simplicity of the plot seemed a bit of a letdown :/ Also what was the point of Kate Stewart in this ep? I mean it was nice to see her but she literally just stood around in a few scenes? Idk.. I know there are some specials coming up and so the big things may be yet to come but feels like it’s just getting kicked further down the road. But it wasn’t a bad ep! Just not quite as strong as the buildup.
