“... He looks scared.”

He didn’t usually do basic things like save cats from trees or help old women cross the street- since he’d rather go for bigger problems in the city. But... He couldn’t help himself.

It was raining, and there was a poor puppy desperately trying to take cover behind some trash cans. ... Guess he has a soft spot for small animals.

“I could use some help here.”

He says, almost knowingly. He’s crouched down in front of the dog, trying to coax him out with gentle cooing and a dog treat. Take this sight in, because you’ll never see him this gentle ever again.

✧*:･ﾟ| THE pair of earbuds are not an expensive brand. If anything, they might not even last him a month. But, he'd take what he could get, when all he's wanted has been to drown out the worst of the MELODIES in his skull. Thus, they're popped into his ears, and he returns to the world of music that he's always loved. A FUN beat meant for dancing, singing along aloud! There's a complete lack of self consciousness behind his mannerisms. Who cares if I am getting older? I can still enjoy myself! Thus he laughs, humming along to his song in public, and even going so far as to tap his toes to the BEAT.

the name escapes him before he could think twice about the slender figure, the flash of blonde hair.  but when he blinks, the image clears away, and the realization hits.  this young girl was not nill, despite the similarities in appearance.  it was merely a trick of the eyes in a mist of rain.

he pushes damp locks of white hair away from his face and exhales a breath he had been holding.  there’s a sense of relief that washes down along with the rivulets of water.  but a heat of shame compels him to offer a sort of conciliation, ( an apology ? ), for the mistake.  so heine looks over the stranger for brief moment, and gives a sound, yet obvious, advice,    ❝  you'll catch a cold if you stay out in this weather, y'know.  ❞    ━━  @scullcss​ ( sc )

      “Hey, you and I aren’t too different!” She’s encountered those with resemblances to her own kind, but the younger girl is the closest Nelliel’s found yet. Moreover, she’s astounded upon recognition that the girl likely isn’t a Hollow. It just serves to render the remnant more inquisitive than anything. She bends over slightly, resting hands on her thighs and grinning so as to be unmistakably nonthreatening. “Did you not manage to pass on? No way you were born here, I’m guessing. How long have you been around?”

Oh man the novelty of this planet was really wearing off! Sure it had tall ladies with pointy teeth, rock dudes and a big hole, but she was starting to get homesick! Shipsick? Yeah. Nothing but crumbled buildings and these gross red vines all over the place. 

That was until she’d found some moving shapes. Angry shapes! Angry shapes that looked like bad radio reception.They were even less helpful and in the end she’d had to run away from them, but not before she’d taken a bit of a bouncy fall. 

After picking herself up she almost jumped out of her... Well, not skin obviously but the sentiment is the same. There was a... Girl? Just right there, staring at her like that was an entirely terrifying thing.

“Uhh... Hey..! Miss..? You all right there? You’re not being chased too are you? Also have you seen a flying train around here?”

Honestly, Mitsuba hadn’t been planning on doing much. He’d already complained about his fair share, though, and while far be it for him to forego complaining about something, he had at least been approached by someone while he’d been browsing the quests again.

(Maybe he liked letting things get to his head! It’s fine.)

“... alright. We can get the stickers back.”

“But just so you know I don’t plan on standing around while you do all the work. I’m not gonna let myself get eaten by a fifteen-foot cat. Or by anything, really.” Nearly been there, nearly done that, and he’s definitely way too cute to want to come scrambling out of a huge cat’s mouth.

“As long as you’re okay with not suddenly deciding ‘no, Mitsuba, be the bait actually!’, we can go find it.”
