eternal glory
s. sallow x f!reader

summary: sebastian is selected to compete in the triwizard tournament during your seventh year at hogwarts. after he won the first challenge (by a landslide), you could've practically exploded with excitement for him. seeing you like that...wait, were his pants getting tighter?
words: 700ish
warnings: fluff, established relationship, aged up seb and mc, praise kink!seb?? soft!seb, not smutty just a spicy lil makeout sesh. not edited. minors dni!!
a/n: someone pls draw seb with the kisses all over his face how cute would that be!!
the triwizard cup, one thousand galleons, and eternal glory. that's what sebastian was promised. how could a slytherin resist? sebastian knew that as long as you were by his side, eternal glory was as good as his. however, this tournament was already proving to be easy enough. it also came with some...unexpected perks.
after defeating his appointed common green dragon, debatably the easiest to beat, you were obviously overcome with joy. as soon as he emerged from the player's tent, you launched yourself into his arms. a smile split from ear to ear on his face, seeing your genuine excitement for his win. he felt so much pride, so much love.
"you did so good, my love!" he instantly felt his heart flutter in his chest as he held you close to him in the air. you peppered exaggerated kisses all over his face, turning his cheeks and nose a bright red. he couldn't help but giggle as you wouldn't stop when he tried to plant your feet on the ground again.
"you were incredible! oh my days, i'm so proud of you!" the pure look of joy on your face still lingered as you continued to sing his praises in front of everyone, including the reporter for the daily prophet. with your lipstick now splattered around his face, he had an infectious smile that even he couldn't deny. he was blushing, hard, as much as he hated to admit it.
"it was easy enough." he smirked, keeping his tough exterior.
"i must interview this boy! mr. sallow--" before the man could get another word out, sebastian raised his hand to stop him.
"i won't be answering questions," as unusual as it was to say, his expression was casual--smug, even. "thank you." the reporter stood stunned for a moment as he watched sebastian usher you away by your wrist.
"sebastian? you're not going to talk to anyone?" he weaved through the crowd, reaching a clearing near the south exit.
"waste of time!" he answered, glancing back at you with a mischievous look.
"waste of time? are you late for something, sallow?" you teased, but he didn't respond. he only increased his speed to a jog, creating giggles between the two of you as you raced the halls. you quickly recognized that he was leading you to the slytherin common room. as you reached the dimly lit hallway, a familiar serpent slithered around the wall, and the grand door appeared beneath it. he quickly shoved it open, pulling you in with him before turning to push you up against the cold slab of wood as it closed.
"i don't suppose you were this excited to cuddle and take a nap?" you looked up at him teasingly as he towered over you, hands trapping you below.
"you know me well." his head dipped to leave love-marks at the base of your neck. your hands naturally raised to tangle in his brown locks.
"can i ask-- was it winning, or--" he chuckled at your assumption.
"no, hardly." he craned his neck to meet your gaze again with his dark eyes. the smirk still lingered on his lips. "tell me how good i'm doing." that same smirk turned downward as his he bit his lower lip impatiently. you also lost any sense of smugness in your face, and curiosity replaced it.
"oh?" he nodded, his eyes pleading for more as he continued nipping at your chest. you breathed out a sigh of contempt, feeling a fire beginning to spark to life in your lower-half.
"you look so handsome, leaving marks on me." he groaned into your skin, almost making you giggle from the vibration.
"you like it when i praise you, baby? you did so good for me today, looked so good in your uniform." that was enough to make him mad. he quickly crashed his lips into yours, needing to transfer some of the fire he felt to you.
"don't stop...never stop saying those things to me." his lips were swollen when you finally broke apart, and his eyes were anything but satisfied.
"never." you shook your head, promising him. he smiled innocently for the last time that day before your lips met once more.
he loved being so rough with you, who would've thought he liked it when you were so gentle? either way, you were happy to know how sebastian felt when he saw you crumble underneath him when he used you for everything you had. seeing him weak at the knees from just your words, you felt, leveled the playing feild.

(i am once again apologizing because this was meant to be a drabble and is not drabble length. enjoy anyway whores)
summary: when taking a shortcut leads to taking your clothes off in front of sebastian sallow
words: 1.2k
warnings: ngl she's kinda spicy. oopsie? aged up seb and mc. not edited and also not good lol. as always minors dni.
finding those blasted demiguise statues had to be your least favorite assignment yet. your groundskeeper (who was an alcoholic, by the way) had somehow gotten you to agree to do his personal bidding in exchange for learning how to use alohomora. it had to be some kind of violation, but looking for harmless little statues was much easier than exploring any catacomb or solving any trial of puzzles, so you didn't complain.
on the other hand, it required a lot of walking, and a lot of aimless searching. on this particular search brigade, however, you'd received a tip from a fellow student that lived in north ford bog that a strange glowing artifact was hidden in an abandoned cottage just outside the hamlet. sebastian decided he would come along for the adventure, mostly hoping to find something worth value in the house and to annoy you along the way.
"i think i see a shortcut just there..." you stretched your neck out to see further down the faded and forgotten bath to your right, just hardly noticeable.
"it's not on the map?" sebastian inquired, peering over your shoulder to get a look at the map in your field guide.
"no...let's see what's this way." without waiting for a response, you pushed the heavy brush to the side to allow yourself to be swallowed by the leaves.
"don't just--y/n! wait for me." he followed behind you, trying to dodge the rough branches threatening to whack him in the eye. you ignored him until you reached a clearing, not wanting to linger in the prickliness. you emerged to see a breathtaking view. you had found yourself on a cliff's edge above the quaint lake in the center of the hamlet. the evening moon reflected on the calming ripples in the water, lighting up the clearing with a haunting blueish glow.
sebastian soon emerged from the brush as well, sputtering a leaf out of his mouth. you didn’t notice, still captivated by the view. he straightened himself and his robes and finally joined you near the edge of the cliff.
“it’s beautiful, isnt it?” he turned to gaze at you, your eyes practically sparkling from reflection in the water. he couldn’t help but notice how your plush lips glistened from your homemade dittany lip oil. he smiled as it reminded him of how much he adored your femininity. you could utterly destroy grown men and women with your powerful incantations in one minute, and the next you would be fixing your hair and blotting your nose. you were badass and graceful about it at the same time. it could make sebastian weak in the knees sometimes.
“hm?” you quirked your head to the side at his distant gaze. he seemed to be looking through you with a gentle smile lingering on his lips. he blinked his thoughts away quickly.
“yeah, incredible…” he took his first look out across the water, breathing in the gentle breeze. “hey, i dare you to jump in.” he challenged with a sly smirk. your first instinct was to immediately refuse, thinking about how cold the water would be and how it would soak your best school uniform. but, upon giving yourself a second to ponder it…
“sure.” you shrugged, agreeing in a casual tone. the smile instantly vanished from the boy’s face.
“what? no, i don’t think you should actually—“
“you’re jumping with me, though.” his throat nearly closed up at the sight of your hands reaching up to unclasp the first button on your vest. he was stammering to find the right words as your vest fell to the forest floor.
“i actually don’t know how deep that lake is—“ you stepped forward to peer over the edge of the landing, inspecting the water. you turned back to him and shrugged once more.
“looks deep enough to me.” you smiled reassuringly at him, but it made him even more nervous. you placed a hand on his shoulder for support as you removed your kitten heels. he felt like his entire body was buzzing.
“okay, but you have to think about the rocks too—“
“sebastian. you know me well enough to know that i never back from a dare. i thought you were too, but it’s okay if you’re afraid.” he realized what you were doing immediately and it was proven by the smug smile on your face. you didn’t avert your eyes from his as you slipped your blouse off of your shoulders, leaving your upper half exposed to the moonlight. sebastian looked like he could explode.
any expression of annoyance or concern left his face as he watched you. he couldn’t find any wordsto say, he just stood frozen before you with an appreciative stare.
“okay, well i’m jumping. it sounds like a rush. bring my robes down for me will you?” he just nodded, holding a stack of your clothes in his arms as you stood before him in only a corset top and an aggravatingly short slip skirt. he was almost salivating at the sight. didn’t shift his gaze as you took a deep breath, centering yourself before sparking at the edge and leaping off with a graceful dive.
sebastian seemed to have come out of his trace as you left his view, blinking his sinful thoughts away. he frantically started on his own clothes, realizing the opportunity in front of him.
down below, your body had broken the waters surface with a grand splash, sending you deep down to the bottom on the lake. however cold you thought the water was, it was ten times worse. but as you emerged again, the wave of shock sent across your skin from such a drastic change slowly subsided. you dipped your head back, allowing your now saturated hair to lay flat behind your face. you rubbed your eyes, still getting your bearings before a loud splash erupted just next to you. you were drenched once again and certainly surprised to see sebastian’s head popping out of the water in front of you.
“i thought i finally found your weakness for a moment, sallow,” you teased him as he wiped the water droplets off of his own face.
“you’ll never know.” his confident smirk returned. it made you notice how prominent his muscular shoulders were just below.
“yeah? why’s that?” your words were innocent but your tone was entirely contradictory.
“you’ll just never guess what it is.” his voice reciprocated the same flirtatious influence, which you took as an invitation to swim closer to him.
“no?” your voice was quiet now, just a few inches away from him. he shook his head.
“are you sure?” your hand slithered up his arm to grasp his strong shoulder. “cause i think i might have an idea.”
it was silent between the two of you as he searched for any reluctance in your eyes and his own mind for a way to top your antics with a bolder gesture. you felt something ignite in your stomach as you saw what he wanted to do in his eyes. before you could react, his hand tangled in your hair at the nape of your neck, pulling you into a passionate, burning kiss. it was like all of the pent-up desire was released between you two at the same time.
from that day forward, sebastian was your favorite exploring partner. partially because he knew the area like the back of his hand, but mostly because you never wanted mischief like this to end.

what a cute gif btw. i imagine they would hand out cocktails like this. also side note please look up what mens underwear looked like in the 1890's. i took one look at it and i was like hell no lmao. so he's wearing longer boxers in this.
summary: you accidentally have a bit too much to drink at a slytherin party. even while practically incoherent, you are all over sebastian, and he thinks it's so fucking adorable.
words: 0.7k
warnings: fluff, drinking, swearing, not edited!
one thing you could do while drunk is talk. merlin, you could go on for hours if everyone let you. it wasn't the annoying kind of excessive talking, but it was a drastic difference to what you were normally like. you weren't shy, but it was hard to be yourself around people. being intoxicated helped tremendously with that, completely ridding your mind of that precautionary filter. but there would come a point where the liquor got the best of you, and you would suddenly become this sickeningly sweet love bug that clinged to sebastian's side and would stare at him adoringly when you weren't talking his ear off.
he did anything but mind, though. in fact, he did the opposite. although he wasn't fond of getting more than tipsy, he agreed to go to every party, mostly because you wanted him to and he lived to make you happy, but partly because he eventually got to see this side of you.
"sebastiaaaaan," you drawled lovingly at him. he chuckled, looking down you meet your heavily lidded eyes peering up at him. you had an undeniably goofy smile on your face.
"yes, love?" he fixed your slightly frayed hair with the soft palm of his hand, kissing the top of your head after. you blushed, but tried really hard to focus on what you were saying.
"am i your pretty girl?" he was glad no one was in earshot of the two of you sat on the plush velvet couch, but his cheeks still flushed a bright red.
"of course you're my pretty girl. you're my beautiful girl." his heart could've burst as you perked up at his words. you gasped, smiling lazily at him.
"i am? aw, yay." your head fell to rest on his chest and he tried not to disturb you with his laughter as his arm draped around your back to pull you into him. he started rubbing your back, and he could sense it as your breathing slowed when you slowly started to drift to sleep.
"are you sleepy, baby? we can go to bed if you want." you didn't respond, you only nodded your head as it still lay on him.
"okay, i'll help you to bed, love." he supported your frame as he slipped out from underneath you to stand. he pulled you to you feet and you instantly wrapped your soft arms around him. he kissed your head once more before beginning to lead you to the dorms, weaving through the crowd as he held you up when you stumbled. you nearly fell just outside of your room, sending you into a cackling, drunk mess. he shook his head, trying not to laugh at you.
"what am i gonna do with you, hm?" you couldn't bother defending yourself, still giggling as you starting sloppily removing your robes. he helped you with the buttons once he got tired of watching you struggle. once you were just in your slip dress, you flopped onto your bed and crawled under the thick duvet, relishing in the warmth you missed from your robes. sebastian leaned in to peck your lips and withdrew himself back to the side of your bed.
"you aren't leaving, are you? no, no, stay with me, pleeeeaaase?" you outstretched your arms to him, flexing your hands as they longed for his.
"what about imelda? the whole school will know she saw us in bed together by tomorrow morning." you looked at him with a blank, confused expression for a moment, silent. he quirked his head at you, curious.
"okay? and i care...why?" you teased. he rolled his eyes and scoffed lightheartedly.
"fine." his innocent lips curled into a smirk as he started on his own robes. once he was down to his shorts, he slipped under the blanket with you. you were instantly much more comfortable as he settled in behind you and wrapped his arms around you. he felt so lovely and warm holding you. it was dreamy, truly.
"i love you." you sighed with satisfaction. he kisssed your bare shoulder and nuzzled into your back.
"i love you, darling. sweet dreams."

summary: after winning the first challenge of the triwizard tournament, sebastian asks you to accompany him to the yule ball, of course. he's not sure if it's the twinkling lights, the romantic music, or maybe just your presence, but something has his eyes twinkling and his heart beating out of his chest. he simply can't help it. he needs to tell you how he feels, and fast, before he bursts at the seams with infatuation.
words: 630
warnings: fluff, smut, word vomit, language, aged up seb and mc, minors dni! not edited!
ps i hate the way they decorate the yule ball in the movies. why is so bright? and so...blue? balls should be warm and comfy for good time vibes!!
he'd asked garreth to bewitch some fireworks to spell out your name and set them off in the courtyard during free period. he had a speech prepared, but he ditched it at the last second when he laid eyes on you. seeing your excitement, he felt like you deserved much more than a poem he was half-satisfied with. he already thought the fireworks weren't enough, just a fraction of his love for you put on display. if he could, he would have a choir of thousands sing for you, flower petals falling from the sky to imitate your favorite tree, and the quidditch team writing in the clouds with their brooms.
since he couldn't do that, he settled for cutting a deal with his petty enemy. he had to pay for the fireworks, garreth's "labor fee's" for bewitching them, and he had to do garreth's charms essay for him. not only that, but he had to deal with garreth's relentless teasing. in the end, he decided it was worth it. in fact, he decided he would do it ten times over, for you.
after he'd gotten you to say yes, he was left with even more problems. he wanted to buy new attire, something that his family didn't get for him. he needed to buy your dress too, of course, it would be ungentlemanly of him not too. god, he needed to get you flowers! and a matching bit for your wrist and his lapel, whatever they were called.
but the day of, christmas day, he swore made everything worth it. witnessing you walk down the grand staircase with your hair done to perfection, your skin glowing in the candlelight, and the dress he picked out for you fitting you in just the right places made him feel...different.
he wasn't a boy in his seventh year at hogwarts with his schoolgirl crush, he was a man with his woman. he knew in that moment that it wasn't temporary. he wanted this, he wanted you for all eternity and so much more. he wanted you to bare his children one day, as soon as possible, preferably.
"i love you."
he just had to say it. he physically felt like he couldn't go another minute without confessing. the weight on his chest remained, however, until you smiled brightly back at him as you reached the bottom of the stairs.
"i love you too. shall we?" he linked his arm with yours and led you through the doorway of the ballroom.
most of his evening was spent just looking at you, either from afar or during conversation. he always prayed he knew the moves to the next song so you could keep dancing. what better way to show everyone that you're his than dancing with him all night? not that they didn't already get the hint from the blasting fireworks and the very public profession of love he gave. but it didn't hurt to remind them, right?
and when the night came to a close, he would remind you of the same thing. he would lay you down, and talk you through it.
"doing so good f'me"
"so pretty when you moan, baby"
and when you were close,
"that's it, darling, let it out"
then he'd kiss you to muffle your cries as he started chasing his own release.
"i know, i know. you're taking it so good f'me"
he'd have to bite your shoulder, but even that felt good since you were still buzzing. he'd kiss the skin after though, and clean you up. he even gets you a glass of water without you having to ask. and he'll tell you again,
"i love you."
and you'll say,
"i love you too." because you do. you truly, truly do.

summary: you accidentally fall asleep after a long day and wake up to sebastian being as sweet as always and asking for cuddles.
words: 1k
warnings: fluff, smut, unprotected sex pinv, aged up seb and mc, established relationship, minors dni. not edited!
one minute, you were just resting your eyes and relaxing after a long day of classes. you were looking forward to spending the evening in with sebastian and just enjoying his company. the next minute, you were in what you swore could've been the deepest sleep of your life. it felt so good to let go, get some much needed rest.
a few hours later, the feeling of sebastian finally laying down for the night stirred you awake. his arm snaked around your waist, pulling you into his frame as your eyes fluttered open. you took in his scent, breathing in deeply as you came back to life.
"good morning, sleepy head." he kissed the lobe of your ear, then your neck, and then your shoulder. you couldn't help but smile at the touch as it sent a chill down your spine. after realizing your surroundings, the guilt set in immediately.
"sorry, love, i was so sleepy. you could've woken me." a smirk curled onto his lips as he heard the grogginess in your voice.
"that's okay, darling. you deserved to rest." he pressed more kisses to your shoulder and back as you settled into him, feeling more comfortable than ever before. he pulled the thick covers over both of you, trapping in your residual heat.
"what time is it?" you rubbed your eyes, trying your best to stay awake to chat with him for a few minutes.
"time for bed." he teased, chuckling deeply behind you and sounding tired himself. you stretched out your arms, breaking his embrace to turn over and face him. you could only make out his features from the moonlight ghosting his cheekbones from the window.
"you were snoring like a troll," he continued. you could see him break out into a bright smile even through the darkness as he heard you giggling.
"hey, i was tired," you defended yourself jokingly. missing the warmth from your embrace a few moments ago, he pulled you closer to him, his arms still around your waist from before.
"c'mere." you obeyed, tangling your legs in his and resting you own arms around his neck. you relished selfishly in the comfort, wanting to be closer if it were possible.
"i missed you." he kissed your cheek, but his eyes locked on your lips as he pulled away. you realized, knowing sebastian, he had probably been waiting for you as you slept. he'd been excited to have you all to himself that evening but got to listen to you snore instead. he was a gentleman, but still a man, and entirely unable to hide the fact that he could never get enough of you. you smirked knowingly at his hungry gaze and sighed.
"i'm sorry i kept you waiting. i'm here now." his eyes met yours now, trying to decipher between an invitation and niceties. his hand slithered up your side to palm your face, pulling you into a sultry kiss. your fingers found their way to his hair, gripping the strands as if to beg for more force. he obliged, deepening the kiss as he propped himself up on his elbow for more leverage.
"and thank merlin for that," he mused between kisses. you could feel a spark ignite in your stomach as he loomed over you now, the connection uninterrupted as his free hand roamed your curves. he palmed your hips and breasts needily, unable to decide where he liked his hands better. he found himself entirely on top of you, pressing your hips into the bed for some sort of relief.
sebastian had always liked being on top of you more than anything else. he liked being in control, and he liked to look at you. even when you couldn't open your eyes from the overwhelming pleasure, he thought you looked so pretty when you moaned his name and your face had gotten all flushed. this time was no different, he basked in your beauty as he aligned himself at your entrance and selfishly plunged into you. he let a groan escape his swollen lips at the initial contact, and you knew you wanted more. he had you bucking your hips to meet his within a matter of seconds, going at an agonizingly slow pace.
"m-more." you were so needy, you could barely speak. his familiar smirk returned at your begging.
"hm? i can't hear you." he slowed to a stop, allowing you to find your words, which just made you more whiny.
"please, please, sebastian-- more!" you were clamping your legs together around him, trying so hard to create some kind of friction. he granted your wish, finding a rhythm faster than before, but you still wanted more. seeing the frustration in your brow, he lifted your hips with his hands, creating an angle that allowed him to go much deeper than before. your cries were the evidence, filling up the entire room.
"yeah? like that?" he quickened his pace, your moans making him want to ravage you like an animal.
"god, yes!" he could feel you starting to unwind on his length as he hit your spot over and over and over again. your familiar sounds were unmistakable, he knew you were almost there. knowing exactly how to push you over the edge, he gripped your jaw with his strong hand and forced you into the mattress, allowing himself leverage to plow into you at an unrelenting speed. he bit down on his lip, his body working overtime to find your release. he could feel your walls start to pulse around him and soon you were coming undone.
"that's it, come f'me, baby." the sounds you made as you lost yourself drove him over the edge every time. he became a moaning mess on top of you as he rode out his own high, unsympathetic to your sensitivity. you wished you could bottle the sound, and the feeling. afterwards, he slumped down, trapping you beneath him as his chest heaved up and down. you would've allowed him to stay all night if he wanted, but he slipped out of you away to clean you up and get you water, kissing your forehead before he got up. after some much needed aftercare, you were back where you started, exhausted and cuddling your boyfriend. soon enough, you had both drifted to sleep, keeping each other warm all night.

"in my desk, upper right drawer." should be easy enough right?
except, when he finally arrived at your dorm, your potions book was, in fact, not in the upper right drawer. so, he frantically checked the other three drawers, on top of the desk, on your bookshelf, under your bed...huh.
he glanced around the room, looking for another sensible place to check. his eyes fell on your bed, unmade and inviting. just to make sure, he thought.
upon pulling back the emerald duvet, he instantly recognized the green potions text. sat on top of it, however, was an unfamiliar, smaller red book with gold lettering on the front. he took the book in his hands and opened it, skimming to the middle to read a random page. his eyes widened with curiosity as he grinned from ear to ear.
"erotica, hm?" he quickly thought to retrieve the objective and put the other text back in its place. ominis would be waiting with you, and he would almost rather catch you in the act than confront you.
hours later, you found yourself inviting sebastian to study in your dorm, on account that your roommate, imelda, was at a sleepover in another dorm. you were lounging on your bed while he sat at your desk, hunched over a roll of parchment with his inked quill in hand. the gentle glow of the cluster of candles on your desk danced across his features, making him appear more and more delicious with every hour that it darkened outside. once nothing could be seen outside of your stained window, your eyes couldn't avoid the crimson leather cover that was burning into your peripheral vision with every moment that passed. you carefully closed your dramatically large textbook and tossed it to the side, replacing it with your desired literature.
soon enough, you found yourself engulfed in your fantasy, the romantic light coming from the tiny flames around your room helping you along. your active imagination allowed you to form the words into pictures, then pictures to feelings. you wanted-- no, needed-- to be worshiped in a way you never had before. you needed to feel special. you'd only done things similar to this the one time with sebastian and he was so fucking sweet and gentle and caring. you were curious ever since that day. after your...research, you had discovered a new feeling, a better one.
but how could you possibly bring it up to sebastian? he was so confident, he seemed so experienced, and he was really good at teasing you. wanting to avoid that for as long as you could until you mustered up to courage, you hid it from him. that was, until now.
"looks interesting." his tone seemed casual, unknowing. you had to stop yourself from throwing the book across the room in attempt to avoid detection.
"mhm." your lip found its way in between your teeth as you averted your gaze.
he furrowed his brow, standing to his feet rather quickly to place his hand on your jaw, lifting your eyes to stare into his.
"no mumbling." you couldn't find an answer, so he took it further. he snapped the book closed and tossed it to the side, never breaking eye contact. he pinned crawled back onto the bed, trapping you beneath his strong frame. he lifted one hand to slip under the hem of your skirt, the other holding him up. he slowly entered your undergarments and slithered his way further, further...
"i knew it. are you going to tell me what's making you so wet for that book or do i have to read it myself?" he was so close, you could feel his breath ghosting your earlobe.
"could you be a little less...forgiving this time?" you asked innocently under him. you looked so defenseless, needy, and perfect.
"i think i know what you mean, my love. just tell me if it hurts, okay?" you nodded at his caring, yet hungry eyes. he lowered himself, peppering kisses on your skin as he slowing exposed it. as if he were claiming his territory, he left red and purple marks every few inches or so before reaching your center. he sent you into a whimpering mess skillfully quick, which had you begging for him already. he couldn't help it, he was so fucking eager for you too. he unraveled his belt with ease before teasing your entrance.
"please, sebastian--" he didn't need to hear more. he was already sinking into you and bottoming out, filling you completely. he growled, feeling you form to his shape. you wrapped your arms around him to brace yourself as he started rocking his hips into you at an unrelenting pace. you called out his name, which quickly turned into a whine. he listened to every sound you body made, every movement. soon enough, he wasn't holding back and had you pinned down by your throat as he pounded into you with an unfamiliar force. your moans turned into cries of pleasure. he had unlocked a whole entire world for you.
you were feeling spent, used, but god did you love it. upon hearing a new sound that bordered both pain and pleasure, he was quick to stop his rhythm to check on you.
"do you want more gentle?" his eyes were undoubtably guilty and concerned. he pressing his calloused hand to your now flushed cheek.
"no," you breathed out. he chuckled and smirked, repositioning himself at your entrance.
"be careful what you wish for."

summary: drabble based loosely on this request. to be honest i think if i wrote this with any angst at all it would be too painful lmao so here is a fluffy version where sebastian gives you his mother's necklace and its just a really sweet moment.
words: 630
warnings: fluff, establish relationship, sebastian being hot and dominant, aged up seb and mc, not edited!
you'd gotten an owl from sebastian during free period while you were studying in your dorm.
Meet me near the lover's lookout. Urgent.

you instantly smiled at his scribbles. you'd missed him all day, having a completely different class schedule than his. deciding not to waste any more time, you quickly fixed yourself in the mirror and left to meet him at your designated spot. it was a short walk across the hogwarts lush grounds before you could spot him pacing on a nearby hill with a small, cobblestone courtyard on top. the autum leaves danced in the breeze around him and the sunset made it look like his skin was glowing. you didn't notice the smile that instinctively appeared on your face as you quickened your pace. his expression mirrored yours as you caught his eye when you approached.
"ah, love. there you are." he sounded relieved as he opened his arms for you to curl into, kissing the top of your head when you closed the gap.
"i missed you all day," you mumbled into his chest, taking in his comforting scent. "what was so urgent?" you craned your neck to meet his dark eyes that looked like tiger's eye stones in the sunlight. you could see his face shift as he swallowed, his tie seeming tighter than before around his neck.
"i...have something for you." he patted his pockets frantically after stepping back, looking in his pockets nervously. a blush formed on your cheeks, he was always giving you little gifts to remind you of his love for you. he wasn't the best at writing poems but he was an incredible shopper.
"ah, here..." he dug in the pocket of his trousers and held the small contents out to you in his hands. you saw a delicate, sparkling chain with a brilliant stone pendant that changed colors when you shifted it in the light.
"oh, sebastian..." you were breathless as you stared at the gem in his hands. "it's stunning!" your hands covered your heart as if to protect it from the overwhelming sweetness.
"it was my mums." he looked down at the necklace in his hands adoringly, a sad, but content smile on his lips.
"oh, you don't have to--" you began to refuse, but he interrupted you.
"i want you to have it." his eyes finally met yours again, smile still unfazed. you couldn't find any words as he walked around you, brushing your hair to the side. his fingers ghosted over your neck, sending bumps across the skin around them as he wrapped the cool metal around your neck and clasping it together. he fixed your hair once he was finished and pressed a loving kiss to your temple, comforting you slightly. you looked down at the jewelry that now decorated your bosom with amazement, taking it in your gentle palm. he came back into your view, relishing in the sight of his family heirloom around your neck.
"i don't deserve this, sebastian." you shook your head, feeling entirely unworthy of such a beautiful and meaningful gift. he stepped towards you, palming the side of your face with his toned hand, forcing your gaze to lock with his.
"hey, none of that." his eyes trailed down to your lips, then to your chest. "you are to never take it off. understood?" you didn't have the courage to protest as you saw him looming over you with such a firm grip on your face. you nodded instead.
"understood." it was your turn to trace your eyes over his plush lips, silently begging for contact. it was visible in the way you bit down on your lower lip with anticipation. he granted your wish, your lips connecting tenderly. you huffed as he pulled away.
"good."

stay
seb. sallow x f!reader
Tumblr media
“you know that i hate this place, but if you wanna stay, i do too
we’ll let the night turn to day, but i’m down either way
cause i’m so down for you”
summary: how could you possibly help attending a party celebrating your incredible win in quidditch? sebastian isn’t one for parties, but he can’t seem to leave you…
words: 1.3k
warnings: fluff, pining, aged up seb and mc, jealousy, suggestiveness, not edited
sebastian didn’t know what it felt like for someone to be proud of him. all his uncle solomon told him was how disappointed he was in him and how foolish he was. he did know, however, what it felt like to be proud of someone else. that was the best way to describe how he felt about you. prideful.
having you on his arm made him puff out his chest and hold his head a bit higher. the brilliant, stunning new witch that single handedly saved hogwarts, and, most importantly…the only person in this world that had ever truly understood him.
so who could blame him for physically being unable to say no to you? seeing you beg…did things to him. the way you drawled out his name in a melodic voice send bumps across his skin.
“sebastiaaan…please? for me?”
god...what was a man to do?
"sure, just for a few minutes, okay?" your sounds of excitement forced the corners of his mouth to turn upward brightly at you.
"this is gonna be so fun!" for a moment, perhaps you had him convinced. seeing you this elated was making his heart flutter in his chest and he suddenly would do anything to keep you happy.
"can't believe you got him to say yes," ominis commented shortly as he watched you practically drag him towards the slytherin common room.
"we won tonight, how can we not celebrate?" you asked innocently, halting in front of the blonde-haired boy.
"you mean you won," ominis corrected her. the slytherin's couldn't deny it, you had taken well in your role as a beater, practically wiping the competition in that night's game.
"someone has to be the humble slytherin," you joked back.
"speaking of humble," garret appeared next to the trio that was still stalling outside of the party, snaking through them to enter the door. sebastian instantly tensed up. "how about a toast to the mvp of the night!" you peered over the stone railing to see a sea of students cheering for garreth's words. you scanned the crowd to see enchanted instruments in one corner, an established table for drinks.
you smiled as you gazed down at them, feeling bashful. sebastian sighed behind you.
"lets go!" you instantly started down the stairs, careful to weave in between your classmates and leaving sebastian in your dust. he watched you find your way to the middle of the room, running into poppy and amit, who were nursing drinks of their own, casually swaying to the music and socializing. a few paces to the right, a couple had claimed one of the couches, ravaging each other as if no one were around.
at first, it displeased him. then, reminding himself of why he was still there, he thought of what it would feel like to mark you like that in front of everyone. nevermind. i can't be here.
"y/n! wait!" you could hardly hear him over the music and loud drone of conversations going on around you. sebastian was less careful trying to chase after you, bumping into a few people along the way. it took him a while, but when he caught up to you, garreth had found you in the crowd again, and this time he was holding a vial of what he instantly recognized as fire whiskey. sebastian pushed forward to meet your side just as you had accepted the vial. his arm instinctively clung to your waist.
"hey, i'm leaving. i prefer sleep over drunk people--" as if a switch had gone off, your face fell into disappointment.
"already? don't you want to have a drink? maybe we can dance!" your giddiness made it impossible. you were looking forward to touching him. once again your pleas cast a spell on him, and he was unable to deny you of everything you wanted.
"yeah, i can stay a while, i guess. i-if you want me to stay, i'll stay." stay smooth, sallow. you giggled, followed by a shy hiccup. he couldn't help but chuckle along with you. he found his eyes lingering on yours for a little too long. you didn't avert your gaze or your smile, despite it.
"I would really like it if you would stay, sebastian." the corner of her lip found itself in between her teeth in an inviting bite.
"it's settled then--"
"y/n! one, two, three!" garreth and a few of his friends gestured for you to take your elixir along with them. you quickly looked to sebastian, whose expression was blank. you thought of your victory, your reputation, your personal bucket list. you succumbed to peer pressure and downed the fiery liquid in one go. it felt like your entire throat was burning as your eyes squeezed shut to dull the disgust. a few people turned into almost the entire gathering as they erupted in excitement.
sebastian shook his head, his smile unfading. floating instruments coming into his view snapped his eyes away from you as they stayed to circle the room in the air. when he looked back down at you, two other quidditch captains were ushering a chair beneath you and hoisting you in the air. they jostled you to the beat. you regained eye contact with him to shrug.
sebastian had suspected he would regret his decision in staying, but he wasn't anticipating it to come this fast. it wasn't that he was angry that you were getting recognition for you efforts, not at all. it was the false, parasitic companionship that he hated. he saw right through people like garreth, imelda, and various others. they couldn't have cared less when they were teasing you as you were first arriving. but as soon as you had gained notoriety, they came flocking to you. he wanted to protect you from being used. more importantly, though, he wanted to protect you from being taken from him. that, he absolutely could not bare.
tonight, though, he would push aside his feelings. you deserved to be celebrated to the nth degree. watching you be carried away, glanced around for his second favorite person. he spotted the slytherin boy leaning on the wall near the grand windows. sebastian made his way through the crowd to finally join him.
"she has you wrapped around her finger, sebastian," he teased, earning an annoyed scoff from his friend.
"impossible," he argued, still eyeing you from a distance. he saw as they clumsily set you down. you eventually made it to the floor in one piece and he could no longer see you in the masses.
"you'd think she'd casted imperio on you. i've never seen you so--"
"okay, alright, fine..." sebatian stammered. "i'm pretty sure we're made for each other or something but that does not mean i'm wrapped around her finger."
"if that comforts you, so be it." sebastian rolled his eyes and tried searching the common room for you again. the music coincidentally changed to a more romantic, sultry tune. his eyes, almost as if they knew, finally fell on you. you swayed to the beat alone, eyes only on him. almost as if you were luring him out to sea, he was pulled to you, quickly meeting you half-way through the people.
"dance with me." your voice almost echoed around him, ghosting his ears like an enchantment. he nodded slowly, absentmindedly, but fully aware of his decision. he had been waiting. this was exactly what he was holding out for. his palm raised to flatten against yours, fingers intertwining slowly, as if he were savoring it. sliftly, he pulled you in with his other hand by your waist, closing the gap between you. twirling around, he showed you off, ensuring everyone knew you were there with him.
sebastian changed his mind as quickly as he had made it up. it was the perfect night, and a moment worth waiting for.

what you want
seb. sallow x f!reader
(was meant to be a blurb but ended up being over 1k lol)
Tumblr media
(doesn't he kinda look like 7th year seb hehe)
summary: you wanted nothing to do with him? fine. he could deal with your denial for as long as it would last. it didn't matter. he knew you would always come crawling back.
words: 1.1k
warnings: toxic!seb, aged up seb x mc, suggestive, not smutty, minors dni pls, not proofread! (giving very much word vomit)
the summer before your final year at hogwarts was interesting, to say the least. having vacated his childhood home, anne left the humble cottage in feldcroft for sebastian to occupy alone. needless to say, it was obvious that you would be staying with him after the two of you started...experimenting the previous spring.
it started as feather-light kisses that quickly grew more comfortable, and almost hungry. your first time was the night of your birthday celebration. having broken into the gaunt's liquor cabinet at your humble get-together, you turned the night into one of discovery. you had pleaded with him for the weeks prior, but he insisted you weren't ready. he could admit to even himself that he decided he couldn't hold out any longer that night. you looked so pretty when you begged for him.
from that night on, you were spoken for, at least in his eyes. and therein lied your predicament. you craved validity, and some kind of acknowledgment. you wanted every girl at hogwarts to know they didn't stand a chance against you. and to be honest, he wasn't exactly making that clear when a daring girl would get a tad too close for your comfort. he loved attention, so how could he help the way girls looked at him? in his eyes, his intentions were clear in private, and that was what mattered. he didn't care if your exclusivity was spelled out clearly for the public. if someone tried to take you from him, they would quickly find out you were off limits.
so, you decided you'd had enough. any man that looked your way was crucified but the women fawning over him got polite gestures in their direction? absolutely not.
"if that's what you want...then okay." his words seemed to be in agreement, but his tone was arrogant-- teasing almost. okay? was he really not going to put up a fight? perhaps he wasn't worth the trouble after all.
what he did before leaving the undercroft had you nearly convinced otherwise. he set one of his thick spell books down on the table closest to him and started toward you, raising his hand to grasp your jaw delicately when he closed your proximity.
"you can try to be with someone else..." his hand slid back slowly to snake his fingers in your hair and leaned toward you, barely leaving room for you to breathe. your body moved instinctively in motion with his, expecting contact and being disappointed when your lips were denied as he continued. "it's okay if you don't know what you want yet." your face instantly twisted with disgust at his cockiness as he quickly withdrew from you to make his way to the exit.
"you're the one who doesn't know what they want. making those girls feel like they have a chance," you spat back at him, leaving him unfazed. you scoffed as you realized he was ignoring your rebuttals and practically out of the undercroft already. his words instantly turned into a challenge, a threat to your pride that you needed to disprove. you stewed in the undercroft for a moment, seething with anger as you plotted your revenge. then, an idea.
a certain gryffindor had notoriously gotten on sebastian's nerves, challenging him at every turn and never letting sebastian forget when he lost. that certain gryffindor had also made it clear that he was after your hand, declaring on multiple occasions that sebastian wasn't fit for a lady like you.
your devised plan worked for all of two weeks. garreth was fun, goofy, and easy-going, but in turn, he was also distracted, mildly immature, and passive. you had quickly come to realize it wasn't going to work when things became...physical. you found yourself closing your eyes to imagine you were with someone else, as much as you hated to admit it. sebastian weaseled his way back into your mind as if he'd never left and you could no longer pretend it wasn't true.
you tried to get him to conform to your preferred blueprint in asking him to compliment you more often, be more possesive, and act more mature. two weeks of trying to make garreth someone he wasn't and you were at your wit's end.
sebastian wasn't surprised to see you charging into the undercroft after school hours, presumably after you couldn't find him in the common room. he glanced up casually at you and back down to his book. behind the bindings of the literature, he hid a knowing smirk.
"what could this possibly be about?" he snapped the book closed in his hand to face you as he lounged on the couch in the far corner of the room. his body language was confident and suggestive, his knees drifting far apart as he sat.
"garreth and i aren't together anymore." you crossed your arms, trying to salvage what was left of your dignity.
"you needed to tell me that because..."
damn. he saw right through you.
"i just wanted you to hear it from me first in case he tries to say he broke up with me. he didn't."
"so you ended things?" he let himself lean back on the couch, fully spreading his middle out to you as he stretched to land his hands beneath his head like a cushion.
"i did." he eyed you from head to toe for a moment before silently beckoning forward. you complied without thinking, taking a seat on his thigh. he brought his hand up to brush the stray strands of your hair behind your ear so he could see your pretty face clearly.
"he doesn't give you enough, does he, darling?" his words fed into your trance like an incantation, instantly melting you in his hands. you gingerly shook your head no.
"aw, i know. i make you feel good, don't i, love?" this time you nodded eagerly. he brushed his thumb across your lip, having to restrain himself from slipping it in your mouth. your eyes met in a sultry exchange, heat radiating from the both of you.
sebastian swore he would never live this down. his rival had attempted to take you and lost your love all to him. his energy, and both of yours when you collided alone was enough to pull you back to him. you were his even if you didn't want to be. no matter how hard garreth or any man tried, they could never make you feel how he did.
he decided, as you sat breathlessly before him, that he would give you everything you ever wanted if it meant he could keep feeling this way. he'd do what no other man in your past could do for you.
"what do you want? whatever it is, i'll do it. i'll do it all to keep you."

something in common
s. sallow x f!reader
Tumblr media
summary: sebastian accompanies you on your first trip to hogsmeade. after being attacked by a troll and confronted by rockwood and harlow in the three broomsticks, you decide to stay awhile for a butterbeer to wait for the two bitter henchmen to leave. one drink turns into two, then four, then...wait, how many did you have? and how did you end up dancing with him in the square? all you knew was you were having so. much. fun.
words: 1.2k
warnings: fluff, fifth year seb and mc pining, fluff, poor-upbringing!reader and seb, not edited!
think of the song they're dancing to as a kingdom dance from tangled vibe
being entirely new to the wizarding world, it was rare that you found something familiar to you about it. however, as you approached hogsmeade for the first time, it reminded you of the quaint village that raised you. it made you protect the village that much more when that troll attacked, and when ranrock's wizard henchmen so rudely interrupted your celebration.
apprehensive to leaving at first, you were thankful for sebastian, as he was a very effective distraction to the pressing situation. you found yourself unable to interrupt the flow of conversation, engulphed in his company. the butterbeer only added to your comfort, making your body warm from the inside out. the candlelight was dim, adding to the atmosphere.
"did you get the chance to stop by honeydukes yet?" he lowered the brim of his mug to reveal a perfect foam 'stache above his lip. you chuckled, but didn't mention it.
"no, not yet." a goofy smile remained on your face, making his cheeks flush. he panicked for a moment, then felt the foam dripping down the corners of his mouth and wiped it away with the sleeve of his robe.
"i ought to show you around, i could name a few sweets right now that would blow your little mind," he teased, trying to play his embarrassment off. you quirked your head to the side with intrigue.
"is that so?"
"it is so." you rolled your eyes, thoroughly amused with how serious he was. "how are you not impressed with all of this? i would've thought you would have at least a little culture shock, being from the city and all."
"to be honest, not much has changed from my regular life. well, other than the ancient-magic-weilding stuff. hogsmeade reminds me a lot of where i grew up."
"really? i always imagined you living in some big house with a butler or something."
"is that how you think all muggles live?" you were laughing into your words at his point and he couldn't help but join.
"well, no...yeah, i guess i did." your hand absentmindedly landed on his arm, sending electricity through him. in that moment he realized his new favorite thing to do was make you laugh, and he would do anything to make it happen.
"you're too much, sebastian. i think we've had too much." he laughed and followed your words, rising to his feet and holding out his hand for you to take.
"let's walk it off, shall we?" your eyes followed his arm all the way down to his hand before you hesitantly granted him your hand.
"we shall." like the gentleman he was, he led you out of the three broomsticks with your hand laced around his arm. once you pushed through the heavy wooden doors, you realized it was now dark outside, the street lamps blazing with a bright white fire to light up the area.
"honeydukes is this way, m'lady." he pulled you to one side and down the stone path.
"do us both a favor and never call me that again," you joked, making him clutch his stomach theatrically.
"harsh, y/n." you didn't bother responding as something had caught you attention in the distance. a man, conducting a floating band that way playing some of the most beautiful live music you'd ever heard. you gasped, starting to pull his towards the man.
"that's what makes you excited? the street performer?'
"hush, sebastian. i think i recognize that song." you were nearly dragging him along now as you approached the crowd. once you could see through them, you saw the twirling of multicolor fabric and beautiful bouncing curls. the look of utter adoration as you watched the women dance with their handsome partners around the square. "yeah...i know this dance. sebastian, we should join in." thinking you were joking, he started chuckling. once you flashed a glare his way, he settled down.
"i don't dance!" he honestly looked terrified at the suggestion.
"oh come on, sallow. it's just repeating the same for steps over and over. look, twirl, together, apart, lift. see?" he analyzed their movements, repeating what you had said in his mind.
"fi--" before he could finish, you had yanked him through the wall of spectators and out into the middle of the clearing. he took a split second to look around at all the people watching, but you didn't allow him to dwell on it, already starting to instruct him.
"remember what i said. you lead." he nodded, trying his very best to seem calm even though he was so close to combusting. merlin, your hands were all over him and the fast music had his head spinning.
twirl. his head was also literally spinning because he was twirling the two of you around as you let your head fall back, his strong arms supporting you.
together. he pulled you close, your faces now inches apart as your opposing hands joined between your bodies.
"not to bad for someone that doesn't dance." your breath was heavy, and he had to catch himself before his mind wandered to an inappropriate place.
"i might have had some practice," he mused, playing along.
"looks like we have more in common than you thought."
apart. you stretched your arms until they eventually seperated, and the two of you were dancing on your own, but still in orbit with the other. he mostly watched as you closed your eyes and let your body move to the music with a grace he'd never seen. your dress followed suit, floating around you as you spun. unbeknownst to you and your "friend", what the crowd saw was a young couple, and they thoroughly enjoyed their free-spirited nature. they started to clap along to the beat as it steadily quickened it's pace. the score cued for the next move, the one he was most anxious for.
lift. he offered his hand to you and quickly pulled you forward once your hand found his. realizing it was now or never, he firmly placed his hands on your hips and lifted you into the air, his eyes meeting yours as you floated above him. were you blushing? you couldn't tell. nor did you really care. his hands on your waist made your entire body feel like it was buzzing, that was all you could focus on in the moment. to your disappointment, he gently set you down on the opposite side of him like the other men and the song came to a rushing end. you instantly felt a weight lift off of your shoulders as you stood breathlessly before him, the crowd carrying on around you.
"remember this the next time i suggest something fun and you feel like refusing." he smiled as his hand found the back of his neck, fidgeting.
"okay, fine. that wasn't terrible, i guess."
"neither were you, dance partner." you playfully nudged his shoulder that was a few inches above your own.
"some people are just good at everything they try." you rolled your eyes once more.
"sure, sebastian."

summary: sebastian had gone to far. you didn't have it in you to turn him in, but you also couldn't look him in the eye. the boy learns a lesson of action and consequence, but is it too late?
words: 900
warnings: angst. ya'll i'm so sorry. i literally sobbed during this scene and i wanted to show you guys what the inside of my brain looked like in that moment lol. minors dni pls. not edited!
"sebastian! wait!" your feet were moving as quickly as they could to catch up with him as he weaved through the catacombs, ignoring your calls.
you hadn't really processed what had happened just yet. you'd seen someone die before on your way to hogwarts, but that was different. oslic was ripped out of the carriage by a dragon, for merlin's sake. it happened so quickly and your eyes were shut for most of it. this time is wasn't like that. you watched the life leave solomon's eyes and it was at your best friend's hand. all you knew in that moment was you needed to get to him, to make sure he was okay. in your heart you also knew that there was no possible way he was okay right now. either way, you needed to be there. you couldn't leave him.
"would you stop for a moment? p-please!" you could feel yourself beginning to lose your composure, your voice breaking as you begged him. you could hardly keep up with your feet as you raced after him. you nearly ran into him before you realized he had stopped dead in his tracks, a few feet away from the exit. he was scanning your face, his own twisted with concern and guilt. he saw the tears starting to pool in your eyes and lifted his hand to comfort you. instead of giving you the contact you desired, though, he quickly withdrew it, almost as if it were a painful action.
"don't cry...please?" his head hung low with shame, unable to meet your gaze like a guilty puppy. even if you could try, the wetness persisted down your cheeks, now flushed with both exhaustion and grief.
"how can i not?" his head perked up at your words. the look on his face made you feel like a terrible person.
"i did what i had to do!" his demeanor flipped like a switch. he was suddenly irate and in defense mode. "he attacked us! i had to protect us! i had to protect you--"
okay. no.
after everything you had done for him-- after he pressured you to lie to the keepers, put your education in jeopardy, and treated you like shit the entire time? he would not pretend like this was for you. none of it was for you. most of it wasn't even for anne. it was for him.
"don't you dare try to pretend that any of that was for me." with tears still rolling down your face, you had turned into the physical manifestation of reactive. "i have done everything that you have ever asked of me, sebastian. i have risked my life, my education, and my connection with the keepers for you." he looked petrified as you bore into him, but you weren't done.
"you know, i came here with no one. i thought maybe if i helped you, you would want to be my friend--"
"i am your friend!" it wasn't until he sobbed out those words that you realized he was crying. he was close to incoherent at this point.
"you are the furthest thing from a friend, sebastian. i have endured the way you treat me because i really needed someone. i needed someone, and--" you choked on your words, the lump in your throat becoming too prominent to continue.
"i'm sorry, y/n..." he sounded meek, almost like a whimper. you wiped your face and took a deep breath.
"it's too late for that, seb." his eyes finally met yours as he heard his favorite pet name from you. it broke him just a little bit more knowing that was the last time he'd ever hear you say it. he mirrored you and took a deep breath of his own.
"i know. i know i've treated you terribly and i admit to being blinded by my own desires to not realize what i already have. i understand if you want to turn me in and never see me again." his apology honestly made it worse. him showing remorse for his actions at the last possible second, when you finally show him you're serious, is something that you predicted from miles away. but that didn't make it any easier.
"sebastian, i could never turn you in..." he looked hopeful for a moment, but it was short lived. "but i think it's best if we don't speak." he closed his eyes, looking wounded.
"please," you instinctively turned to walk around him, you couldn't bare to hear his begging. "please, no wait--don't do this!" you almost plugged your ears as you trudged forward, ignoring his pleas.
"i can't do this without you!" deep down, you felt the same. going on without sebastian seemed impossible but you knew it was a necessity. the wizarding world rested in your hands, and at such a young age. you went from being a regular teenager with no responsibilities other than homework to an ancient-magic-wielding sorcerer who was solely responsible for not just one, but multiple repositories full of the most powerful magic known to wizard-kind. not to mention, an entire rebellion regime was after you. they didn't just want you for information or money or some material object. they wanted you dead.
so, you couldn't risk it. you didn't go through everything just to doom an entire world of people. even if your happiness was the price.

despite his better judgement, ominis found himself checking the undercroft for his best friend. he knew of what happened, knew he needed to distance himself from sebastian, but he needed to make sure he wasn't a danger to himself or anyone else first. a part of him also couldn't believe what happened. he needed to hear it from his friend himself.
a series of mechanical clicks sounded from the secret entrance to the undercroft as he approached it. a familiar sense of dread came over him, like the feeling he had when in the catacombs with you and sebastian. nevertheless, he carried on into the dimly-lit hideout, listening for any sign of sebastian.
"sebastian? can we talk?" he was met with a rigid silence. he concentrated for a moment, listening intently.
"i know you're in here, sebastian. i just want to know that you're alright." he felt pathetic pleading him. why did he care so much after he's committed such atrocities? ominis couldn't give you a precise answer, but he knew it was due it part to the sentimental value of their relationship. they'd been best friends through everything. sebastian stood up for him time and time again when a sour-mouthed gryffindor had the nerve to taunt him, and was constantly aware for him, helping him with whatever he needed. however, he also knew that those things hardly mattered anymore.
finally giving in, sebastian sighed and stepped through the shadows near the far end of the room.
"i never wanted this to happen, ominis." he was quiet for a moment, trying to decide how he wanted to react. he took a deep breath before answering.
"i know." sebastian felt an instant wave of relief wash over him. you had decided you wanted nothing to do with him, which he understood, but all he wanted was to be heard.
"not just with solomon...but with y/n." the boy sulked over to the leather couch and let himself fall into it. ominis followed close behind, joining him on the arm rest of the opposite side. he didn't realize it in the moment, but he had instinctively left your spot open.
"you know, when i first met her--" he chuckled, shaking his head a bit. "she was so confident in her magic, every single cast, every movement was effortless...i was dumbstuck." ominis was lost on where sebastian was taking this, but he listened anyway.
"i remember everything about that day. i remember how she wore her hair, how she answered every question correctly and spoke so confidently. i remember when our eyes met for the first time." his gaze was growing more distant with every detail he relayed, wrapped up in the images in his mind.
"and then she absolutely obliterated me in front of the entire class." ominis tried to hold back a chuckle, but he couldn't hide his shoulders from shaking with amusement. sebastian noticed and joined in, relieving some pressure form the atmosphere in the room. the laughter quickly died out, however, and they were left defenseless with their thoughts again.
"that's when i knew i wanted more...so much more. i wanted all of her." ominis could tell he was beginning to lose his composure, his voice quivering as he spoke.
"what are you saying, sebastian?" his brow arched inquisitively. normally ominis is an observational person. how could he have missed it?
"don't get me wrong, i will cherish our friendship forever, truly. she always dropped everything to help me and now i see how i took her for granted. she gave me kindness in a time of need and i used her for every last drop of it. i knew that it wasn't all for anne, but for me, too." sebastian didn't have to say it outright for his friend to understand. that was all the confirmation he needed.
"does she know any of this?" ominis was met with silence for a moment while he struggled to find an answer.
"maybe. no? i don't know." the boy let his head fall into his hands. everything was so complicated now.
"then i think you know what you have to do." ominis pulled himself off the arm of the couch and started towards the exit. "i have to say i'm not very fond of you at the moment. but if anyone didn't deserve to be hurt in this, it's her. she's been crying for days. if you can fix it, i might be able to forgive you." sebastian blinked away tears, trying his very best to be tough in front of his friend.
"okay...okay," he agreed. ominis left with a nod, leaving the boy alone with his thoughts. there was only one place she could be.
every since the incident, sebastian was as straight as an arrow. he was on time to every class, turned in every assignment, and stayed clear of any sort of trouble. he talked to fellow students other than his two best friends in order to avoid raising suspicion, but it was all an act. inside, he was terrified and alone. he felt no different as he scanned the slytherin common room for the familiar sight of you. when he found no sign of you, it was onward to the dorms. he avoided detection as he took the girls' stairs instead of his own and advanced down the hallway until he found your door. it was closed, so he put his ear up to the door. not hearing much, he knocked cautiously on the door.
"y/n?" as he expected, nothing.
"y/n, i don't know if you're in there, but..." he cursed himself as he found tears pooling in his eyes despite his best efforts. "i'm sorry. i was wrong before. can you open the door so we can talk?"
on the other side of the wooden door, you found yourself drawn to his voice. you rested your hand on the splintered door, wishing it was his chest.
"y/n...i understand that maybe we've lost our chance, but if it's worth anything, i feel awful for the way i've treated you. i know most of the time i spend every minute pretending that i don't care, but i do. i care for you so much, y/n..." you heard a dull thud as he let his head fall to the barrier between the two of you. you inched closer to the doorknob. god, were you really about to let him in again? it was your turn to curse as your nimble fingertips brushed the cold metal, still contemplating, almost as if you were waiting for him to say the magic words to get you to swoon into him again.
"i have more than care for you..." there it was. he had said the one thing that tugged at your heartstrings in just the right way. you prayed to merlin that this wasn't some sick trick and you weren't mistaking ingenuine words for fact. in the blink of an eye, your door was wide open, and he was towering over you once again, his eyes tried and swollen. he looked shocked to see you, realizing you'd actually heard his profession.
"say it." he blinked, almost taken aback. "enough with the sonnets. i need you to say it." he suppressed a smile, meeting your gaze as a knowing smile shown through anyway. he slowly dropped one knee, then the other, keeping his eyes locked on yours the entire way down. his hands rose to grip your hips, pulling you closer to him. his hands then took yours, pulling them together.
"y/n...i love you with every fiber of my being." he brought your knuckles to his plush lips, kissing them as his eyes worshiped you. "i swear that for the rest of my days, i will never hurt you. i will never break another rule, i'll never go out looking for trouble, and i'll never look at anyone else ever again." he kissed your wrists again. "please make me yours...and please be mine, y/n."
you had to admit, seeing sebastian sallow on his knees, begging for forgiveness, and giving you butterfly-soft kisses was making you weak in more ways than one.
"that's better." a smirk cracked through your serious expression, making him chuckle against your soft hands as he held them close. he kissed them once more before straightening his back to look down at you again.
"i'm so sorry, my love." he brushed the stray hairs out of your face and gently tilted your jaw to see your face better.
"i know. i am too."

ghost of our love
s. sallow x gn!reader

(inspired by real events in my second HL playthrough made possible by the companion mod lmao)
summary: a map with messy sketches of landmarks was all you had to go on. that normally wouldn’t prove so challenging if you hadn’t been at hogwarts for all of a week and hadn’t gotten a chance to leave the castle yet. the remedy? a somewhat overconfident fellow fifth-year, who’s face hadn’t slipped your mind since the moment you saw it.
warnings: fluff, fluff, and more fluff <;3 not edited!

you needed to use lumos, that much was clear. a bridge, some floating candles, a disheveled archway, some trees, and…hogsmeade? you took your eyes away from the dusty parchment for a moment to scan the boundless grounds that surrounded the northern exit of hogwarts. You stood just outside the courtyard with the gentle wind flowing through your hair behind you. Your scarf followed suit, protecting you from the dusk chill that nipped at your now blushing cheeks and nose.
you saw a few different bridges leading to what looked like an endless sea of forest and no floating candles. having already circled the castle looking for good amount of time, you realized treasure hunting was a lot harder than you had anticipated. you eyed the map again, searching for the missing piece of the puzzle.
being at hogwarts so far had taught you many things. one of those being honing your ability to focus. casting ancient magic required great amounts of focus and discipline, as did any spell. sometimes your ability to drown out distraction came to your benefit, and other times— well, other times it just made it easy to sneak up on you. and, of course, sebastian sallow loved it.
“searching for buried treasure, are we?” the familiar feeling of your soul jumping out of your body momentarily rushed over you, an instinctively deep breath entering your lungs.
“for the love of merlin, sallow! don’t you know it’s rude to sneak up on people?” you pouted, clutching the parchment to your chest. your chest heaved as your heart settled and he just chuckled looking at you. you hoped the heat rising in your face would be excused as wind chill.
you couldn’t help yourself around him. around everyone else you were cunning, witty, and charming, but in front of him, you were a awkward school-girl, tripping over your words at every turn and blushing at his every remark. the flirtatious slytherin boy picked up on it immediately and it pulled him to you “like a moth to a flame” as he described it to his closest friend, ominis.
“yes, actually. i just like to knock you down a peg. the ‘chosen one’ ordeal is going straight to your head,” he replied sarcastically, gesturing to your head with a poke of his finger. you swatted his hand away, unamused.
“i’m not the chosen one,” you mocked him, returning to your map.
“that’s what it sounded like to me!” he retorted, but you didn’t bother responding as your eyes locked on the sketches again.
“hey, is that the entrance to the forbidden forest there?” he invited himself to investigate the clues, pointing to the rocky archway in the center. he leaned in to get a better look, closing the gap between the two of you. at that very moment, you were pretty sure you forgot how to focus because you couldn’t even try if your life depended on it. the wind carried his scent over to you as he started to fill your senses.
“yes, there’s the bridge, the entrance, then the trees and hogsmeade to the northeast…that’s just over there.” your gaze followed his hand, indicating to the furthest stone bridge from you and if you squinted, you could see the forgotten archway. he casually grabbed your hand, starting to lead you in the correct direction.
“i don’t remember agreeing to this!” you called to him as he walked swiftly in front of you, trudging through the wild grass to cross in a more direct path.
“you didn’t!” he called back, turning to meet your eye with a mischievous smirk falling to his lips. you stifled a girlish chuckle and jogged lightly to catch up to his long strides. after finding your way back to a path, the bridge was just a few paces in front of you. you eyed the forest’s edge, wondering what might be hiding behind the thick brush. you stop just before the bridge and sebastian notices your distant stare.
“don’t tell me you’re afraid of the forbidden forrest. nothing you can find in there is worse than what i’ve already seen you best.” he assures you.
“i’m not afraid! just thought i heard something…” you trail off, leaving the two of you in silence for a moment. you listened to the wind howl around you, taking in the path you could now clearly see you were meant to take. you took a deep breath and held up your wand.
“lumos.” now you wear leading the way across the stone bridge, scanning the space around you for any reaction. then, as if they appeared out of thin air, a few flickering candles began to float into your view, taking you across the bridge and under the ancient-looking archway that held several warnings against your very actions.
“ah, following floating candles into the forbidden forest. this should be interesting.” you welcomed sebastians familiar sarcasm. at the present, even though you previously denied it, you were trembling in your little boots. the countless duels didn’t scare you because you were at the advantage. no one expected a 16 year old to wield such powerful magic, so you were always underestimated. it was aggravating, but it gave you the upper hand when they were too shocked to cast back.
in the forest, however, you were left vulnerable with so many possible blind spots and vantage points that enemies could hold against you. it made you nervous, to say the least.
"we're looking for a large, dead tree..." the both of you continued to hold your wands up as you followed the candles deeper into the forest. owls cooed and dugbogs crooked in the distance, saving you from the awkward silence. If only the peaceful ambiance and captivating nature around you could calm your nerves too.
"ah, here we are...just a bit further i presume." his casual and confident tone ignited a warmth in your stomach that was fairly new to you. you couldn't quite put your finger on it, but being in his presence, especially hearing his voice, made your entire body buzz. you weren't sure what to call it, but you knew you wouldn't be able to keep your feelings hidden much longer if it kept recurring. you wouldn't be able to bare it.
"jackdaw didn't exactly tell me what i was looking for. we could be walking into anything," you admitted, biting your lip as you realized how far you had traveled.
"jackdaw? i doubt he would give a map of certain death to a student.
"you should've seen where i had to go to find the blasted map,' you retorted, causing the boy to snort with laughter. without thinking, you giggled along with him, your eyes meeting for a brief moment. you looked away instinctively, but the furious blush on your cheeks still remained.
"look! just up ahead!" he swiftly passed you, following the candles around a sparse, rocky path with a large brush on either side. you found yourselves on a landing looking over a charming river, an overgrown wooden bridge going across it. the bundle of candles that led you here joined a larger swarm that lit up the romantic scenery in front of you. an iron set of two chairs and a matching table with more candles and a bundle of wildflowers as a centerpiece. the flames flickered like shining stars that surrounded you, illuminating the various flowers and shrubs planted around the table.
your heart instantly started pumping faster in your chest as you searched his expression for a reaction.
"you could've just asked me on a date, you know," he teased, looking around at the scenery.
"i didn't--"
"i'm only teasing, calm down now," he held a defensive hand up and interrupted you before you could respond. "treasure!"
you followed his sight to see a shiny bronze chest with a lock clasped around the opening. he immediately tried it, just in case, but no luck.
"just our luck..." he scanned the area for a clue and you followed suit. while investigating the table, you noticed a tiny glowing swirl in each seat. you looked back to the lock to see a matching light coming from it as well.
"sebastian...i see something." he rushed to your side.
"what is it?"
"the seats, they're glowing..."
"okay, are you sure this wasn't a secret plot to get me to go with you? you really didn't have to do this--"
"enough, sebastian." you rolled your eyes, and he broke.
"alright, i apologize, that was the last time. i promise." he couldn't help from chuckling at your furrowed brow and twisted mouth. you hated when he said it, but he found you incredibly adorable when you were angry. you sighed and he silenced himself, clearing his throat.
"okay, i think it's pretty clear what we're meant to do." it was his turn to show a flustered demeanor as he straightened his robes, looking at you from the opposite end of the table.
"right..." you fidgeted where you stood before he finally gained the courage to round the table, placing both hands on the back of your chair. his hazel eyes met yours, almost asking for permission. you nodded and he pulled your chair back for you, watching as you took your spot in it. the grass floor prevented him from pushing your chair forward, so he lifted it to set you down further beneath the table. he returned to his original stance, facing you as he fixed his suit once more before sitting down as well.
the candle's glow grew significantly, lighting up the area as if a street lamp was just above. you heard a prominent click-click come from the chest as the lock fell to the ground. you almost turned to look at the chest, but your eyes were locked in with sebastian's, unable to falter. he looked breathless, almost. completely and utterly taken aback.
"sebastian? are you alright?" he blinked as if your voice brought him out of a trance.
"yeah, just...you look stunning right now." he admitted honestly.
"oh! thank you." the redness in your face returned just as quickly as it faded. silence fell on both of you again. he seemed deep in thought as his gaze fell to the table.
"sebastian? the treasure?" his head popped back up, and reality set back in for him.
"right. you're splitting that with me, by the way." he was back to his cocky self as he stood to investigate the chest. you followed suit, rushing to catch up to him.
"you wish, sallow."
"is that so? you wouldn't have been able to open the chest without me here, would you?" he taunted you as you joined him next to the bronze treasure.
"fine, but you're getting us butterbeer after this." he opened the chest, revealing what looked to be around 250 galleons.
"I don't think that will be a problem."
