Seblainiversary 2022

Both of my Graphics for Seblainiversary 2022 are artwork for Chapter 3 of my latest ongoing Seblaine Fic And All This Time You Held My Heart , which will be posted on Sunday. The backstory for Steel, is that Sebastian (already 17 at the time), bought Blaine a Stainless Steel circular pendant with a 'B' engraved on it for his 17th Birthday. He chose Steel as opposed to Silver, because he felt it reflected how strong Blaine was and how resilient - never, ever allowing anyone, or anything, to diminish his shine, or who he was, no matter what had been thrown at him. Blaine was incredibly touched and treasured it from the moment he received it.

In the upcoming chapter 3, eight years after Bas and Blaine had a huge fight post Blaine’s proposal to Kurt, that led to Blaine severing all contact with Sebastian, while they're in Mykonos in Greece (Bas is there with Niff, and Blaine is there with Sam, for his Bachelor Weekend), Sebastian is absolutely shocked to spot the pendant around Blaine’s neck when they're dancing in Jackie O's, and realises it must have been more important to Blaine than he'd ever realised. While his feelings for Blaine have never gone away (no matter how hard he's tried to push them down!), Bas is suddenly overwhelmed by a wave of emotion, not to mention the sheer magnitude of his own unsustainable situation with his 'Boyfriend' Glenn - and he realises something has got to give.

I don't want to spoil the story too much, since chapter 3 will be going up on Sunday, but suffice to say, once they are back home in the States, and away from the glitz and glam of Mykonos, Sebastian and Blaine have some very big decisions to make, and end up spending the whole of November in Paris, when Bas fulfills a 9 year old promise to Blaine by taking him to his home country, and showing him his Paris - not the commercialised version that most tourists experience, but the real heart of Paris.

Drama, mayhem (and a LOT of sex) ensue, and they'll both be tested numerous times, but can they conquer all the adversity and break down all the stumbling blocks in their way, to finally get their happy ever after? You'll just have to wait and see...😉

I’m sorry I’ve been busy and I just finished this. So, as my past works for Seblaine week, this one is on Spanish too. I hope you all can read it. Google can translate it. It’s just that my first language is Spanish, so I feel more inspired writing in my language. And also feel like I can represent the Latin fandom.

Anyway this is basically a Seblaine Hunger games au cause I’m like really obsessed with the series.

Second part of my artwork for Chapter 3 of And All This Time You Held My Heart.

Having fled the States pretty much on impulse, following the fallout of Kurt and Glenn being kicked unceremoniously to the kerb by Blaine and Sebastian respectively, our boys head to Sebastian’s home country of France, to allow some time for the dust to settle. They subsequently find themselves spending 8th November 2022 - the 11th Anniversary of the very first time they met, in Parc Monceau in the 8th arrondisement of Paris, snuggling together under a huge Sycamore Maple tree that bears the carved initials of 11 year old Sébastien Baptiste Smythe.

Finally able to lay bare their truth about how they both felt that day back in 2011 (Sebastian had a certaintly that kissing, then in time, fucking Blaine, with his mesmerising, Kaleidoscopic Amber eyes, would be like Comets and Supernovas colliding and exploding around and inside him, and Blaine was sure that the charming, über-confident and debonair boy with the almost permanent smirk and sparkling green eyes, would be his ultimate undoing), it becomes crystal-clear that despite the numerous missteps they have both taken, they have always been each other’s missing Puzzle piece.

Blaine’s startled and upset to realise that while yes, for a nanosecond all Sebastian wanted Blaine to be was a notch on his extensive One-and-Done bedpost/list, Bas had very quickly realised he wanted to give Blaine the world, and was in fact devastated to discover that Blaine was "attached at the hip to a prancing Pixie." A fact that according to Bas, the Warblers had never seen fit to mention to him.

For his part, Sebastian is stunned to learn that during their extensive Text and phone sessions back then, (that Blaine finally concedes were seldom 'Family-friendly' and he was in fact often the instigator of his borderline emotional/cyber-cheating on Kurt), Blaine found it increasingly difficult to not just say, "Fuck it - Carpe Diem" - a phrase Sebastian repeated to him pretty much on a daily basis back then, throw caution to the wind, and just let Sebastian show him an incredible night to remember.

But Blaine wanted more than to just be a one-night-stand or Fuck Buddy to Bas, and he knew if he blew it all up with Kurt just to experience the Sebastian of it all, and was then cast aside like every other boy Sebastian slept with, it would have absolutely destroyed him.

The realisation that all those years ago they were both too scared and too inexperienced to be honest about how they were feeling - not to mention Bas' repeated revelation that he knows full well that he wasn’t emotionally equipped to be the 'something more' that he wanted to be for Blaine, at that time, has them both kicking themselves for avoiding the one topic of conversation that they never touched on during their nightly deep chats that very often ran into the wee, small hours. Had they done so, they might have found themselves on a very different path - one that led to a completely different outcome for them both.

But Sebastian also knows that while hurting Blaine was the very last thing he would ever have wanted to do (and ironically ended up being exactly what he did do), his immaturity and lack of experience with relationships, would have ultimately led to that happening - albeit in a hopefully much less aggressive and violent manner than it did. And Sebastian wasn't made for failure.

Again, not wanting to spoil the upcoming chapter too much, they both realise they've wasted many years harbouring secret (or not at all secret in Bas' case, if you ask the Warblers!), unresolved feelings for each other, and not even Blaine experiencing the green-eyed monster at the appearance of one of 16 year-old Sebastian's (very tactile and persistent) Fuck Buddies while they're out clubbing in Montmartre, can dampen their elation at finally having a chance to rewrite their story, almost 8 years after their massive fight...

Happy Seblainiversary 2022! Who can ever forget the moment our beautiful boys caught each other’s eyes across the crowded Senior Commons on 8th November 2011 - exactly 11 years ago, tonight?

Our tiny (but always fierce!) Fandom is still going strong and we have new people joining every month, so thank you to all Seblainers for sharing the love of a pairing that SHOULD have been Endgame! But even though we didn't get to see them played out to their full potential, thanks to the creativity and unbridled imaginations of our insanely talented Seblaine Writers, Artists and Creators, we can give them the happy ending they absolutely should have had in Canon...

Here's to 11 more years - and way beyond that, too! 💜

Blaine and Sebastian parted on very bad terms when Kurt forbade Blaine from staying in contact with Sebastian, following the biggerthanthis Klaine proposal that Blaine had (selfishly) roped Sebastian into helping him choreograph.

They both said some very hurtful (and true!) things they couldn't take back, and in a fit of pique, hot-headed Blaine ended up blocking Sebastian on all his Social Media - even deleting his number. Sebastian was heartbroken and never really got over their fight.

Almost 9 years later, they're unexpectedly reunited during a vacation to Mykonos in Greece (Blaine’s there with Sam, and Sebastian, with Niff), and it seems to everyone from the outside looking in (and cheering them on!) that the smouldering embers of their previous attraction and sexual chemistry have never quite been extinguished and are in fact on the cusp of erupting into life like a dormant Volcano, all over again.

Could this be their second chance? Can they put the past to bed once and and for all, and perhaps find love together? Can love truly conquer all? Read on to find out.

I just posted the second chapter of my Seblaine fic that i started last November for the Seblainiversary. It’s based in the hunger games and I’m kind of proud of myself.

As you know i write in Spanish but you know, google can translate it if you don’t speak Spanish. I hope you all can give it a chance. I’m planning adapt the whole saga to my kids.

It's almost here! Please join us to celebrate our first event - Seblainiversary 2022, from Friday November 4th until Sunday November 6th.

It will be 11 years on November 8th 2022 since our beautiful boys met for the very first time (who can ever forget the moment their eyes meet across the crowded room, and their instant attraction?), so to this end, we have two themes for you all to write/create around.

Eleven

Do whatever you like with this, just as long as 11 is clearly incorporated in some way. Maybe they met at 11 years old in an AU setting, perhaps they are reunited after 11 years of no contact, or could it be their 11th Wedding Anniversary? It's up to you, and we can't wait to see what you all come up with.

Steel

Steel is the traditional gift given for an 11th Anniversary, and when you reflect on some of the characteristics of steel, you'll realise what a perfect theme it is for Seblaine! Steel, is known for its durability, strength and how it is almost virtually resistant to damage, no matter what it goes through!

So we want your creations to clearly show steel as an important factor - could it refer to a plane? Something one has given to the other at some point during their friendship/relationship? Maybe it's referring to the colour, or the metal itself? It's entirely up to you! Get creative, and let your imaginations run wild!

The Rules

When?

The event runs from midnight (your own timezone) on Friday November 4th until 23:59 (of your own timezone) on Sunday November 6th 2022.

Who can take part?

Anyone and everyone who shares our love of Seblaine!

What can we submit?

Anything, as long as it is Seblaine-related! Fics, Graphics, Gifs, Gifsets, Videos, Manips, Playlists, Lyrics - anything you like as long as it fits the themes! We're looking forward to seeing what everyone comes up with.

Please remember to use #seblaineworld and #seblainiversary2022 within the first five tags, and also put @seblaineworld in your posts, since we all know just how flaky Tumblr can be about tags!

Be sensible and considerate. We all know that not everyone shares our love of Seblaine, and even within our own tiny (but always fierce!) Seblainer Fandom, there are those who don't enjoy mature content, so please ensure you tag everything you submit, appropriately.

Can I post on any day during the event?

Yes! You can post on any day as the two themes run concurrently. If you want to combine both themes into one piece of work, that's fine too!

Do I need to submit something for each day?

Absolutely not. If you want to contribute something for every day, then of course you can, but it's not a requirement at all. We know everyone has busy lives, so just do what you can, when you can.

Can I post a WIP or work that fits the themes even if I started it before the Seblainiversary 2022 announcement?

Absolutely! Both of us have done this before and feel it's a great way to refresh creativity, so feel free to post anything you've already started, providing it fits one or both themes!

When do we start posting?

As soon as it becomes Friday 4th November in your own timezone, post your work to your Tumblr blog, and as mentioned above, please tag it #seblaineworld and #seblainiversary2022 and make sure those two are in your first five tags. Please also put @seblaineworld somewhere in your post.

If you're going to be posting your work to another site like AO3 or ff.net, post a properly tagged link on your Tumblr.

A Seblainiversary 2022 collection will be added to AO3. More details nearer the time.

Can I post late?

Yes! We know how time can occasionally run away from us all, so everything posted will be reblogged until Friday November 11th.
