I feel like I should say since there's been a recent uptick in a lot of communities I'm in/see stuff from a lot of white people pretending to be Asian, but you are not welcome here if you are in anyway stealing from Asian cultures for clout or the aesthetics of it

This includes if you're white and you give your self inserts Asian names, I truly do not care if your f/o is from an anime, you should not be using an Asian name under any circumstances. I hate that whenever I see someone using an Asian name online, I feel like I have to start searching their account to see if they're actually Asian or just a white person who likes the aesthetic of it bcs far too many white people will use Asian names here just bcs it sounds cool, with no regard for the actual cultural meaning behind it. Meanwhile actual Asian people will be mocked for their names, or treated like their names are too hard to learn to pronounce, or discriminated against based on their names

Asian cultures are not a fun little costume for people to dress up with. They aren't just a nice aesthetic, they aren't just a thing you can borrow from bcs you think it sounds cool

I don't really see this at all so I'll be the one to say it.

Selfshippers with chronic fatigue, please don't feel bad. Your f/o accepts you as you are. They accept that you might not have enough energy to accomplish very much. They're very sympathetic to your plights. If you're tired when you spend time together, they don't really care if you can't do very much because they're just happy to be in your presence. If you want to just take a nap, they'll be happy to just cuddle up with you. They feel very sorry for you, but they also believe in you to do what you need.

☆ Reminder to all self-shippers that if you're considered or have been told that you're unpleasant to sleep next to, your f/o doesn't care at all! In fact, they love your sleeping quirks and will always accommodate any sleeping disorders! Whether you snore in your sleep, or require a sleeping aid to help your breathing, they don't mind whatsoever! And they also don't find it annoying! So long as you're safe and comfortable, it doesn't matter to them. If you toss and turn a lot, or have really bad insomnia, your f/o understands, and rest assured it's okay! They don't mind it, and they aren't annoyed with you no matter how many videos you want to watch before you fall asleep, or how may times you need to flip your pillow to the cool side. If you're a bit of a blanket stealer, trust and believe that they don't mind having a bit of a game of tug-of-war with the blankets! They might even just roll you up in a blanket of your own and hold you close, like a little sleepy caterpillar. If you have chronic nightmares or night-terrors, your f/o will be by your side to help aid you when you awake from such frightening things. They'll hold you if you need that, they'll talk you out of your terrified state, they'll listen if you need to say anything about it. They don't mind doing that for you, because they will always want to be there to help you. And of course, if you sleep talk or sleep walk? They're also okay with that too, they might even find it amusing if you're speaking nonsense in your sleep, and they'll make sure you get back into bed if you start walking around in the middle of the night.

shoutout to selfshippers that ship with characters that are completely "normal" but whose lives are filled with drama, because now you have to probably deal with that drama as well which sucks ♡ (basically shoutout to selfshippers that ship with characters from drama/comedy/romance media)

The other day I saw this post by this self shipper that said something like "In a few days I turn 18. I'm really excited but also pretty depressed at the same time because that means I'll have to let some of my f/os go." And I dunno man, this made me pretty sad. It almost seems arbitrary, like after this certain day people are not supposed to care about their f/o anymore. Like, I'm no proshipper, don't get me wrong, but I legit don't understand the problem with aging characters up along with you. I've read some people say that it's morally reprehensible to age characters up. Honest to god, though, I really don't understand what's wrong about it. Are people supposed to just love their f/os knowing that that love has an expiration date? Then they're supposed to just throw their feelings away because they are forbidden and there is nothing they can do about it? Lucky for me, my f/o is a whole ass adult as am I, but I kind of feel really bad for these people. - 🧡🧢 anon

your f/o would remember and always consider your dietary needs, btw. they care about you, they don't want you to eat anything that could make you sick or have you feeling out of sorts. maybe you have a very specific eating schedule, or can't eat out at many places, or often need to ask about ingredients or food prep (they'll ask for you, if you want them to!), whatever it is, it's okay. there is nothing burdensome to them about making sure you're healthy and happy and eating well ❤️
