people need to start understanding that blocking someone is a way to curate your online experience in a mature and healthy way.
it's not a moral or a character failing to block someone.
it's not "aggressive", it's not "bizarre", it's not a "lack of respect", it's not "throwing a fit", it doesn't mean you can't respect different opinions and it doesn't mean you should get "off the internet" to "get some air".
it's simply a 'i don't vibe with your content and don't want to see more from you.'
#let me tell you it's a whole lot more mature than putting someone on blast in several posts weeks & months after the fact#over an untagged censored disclaimered not rebloggable post from an account who had you blocked for a while#sending them gotcha asks to bolster your essay on them#or creeping in someone's comments to project some sort of villain arc onto them for not liking your very fave very special ship#while preaching about accepting different points of views & bettering fandom culture#bldwvers be normal challenge#this is hopefully the last i'll have to say on this matter#text: personal#fandom critical
