Reference the videos if you need a visual aid for my notes. ✦ Team A: 1:33 clear. Hybrid build, Crit Rate to 40-50% and the rest into DMG to Weakened. First wave: - Regular resonance and 1 active skill. Second wave: - Basic attacks -> Fury resonance. - 1 parry outside of weakness. - A couple of charged attacks to heal up before hitting Fury resonance. Need as much HP here to maximize damage for the next part. - Fury resonance. No active skills. If things are looking good, you should be able to kill the golem just as weakness ends. Third wave: - Use active skill as soon as it spawns. If you can approximate where it spawns, you cap opt to charge your active skill for this. - 2 parries outside of weakness. The fire golem can punch pretty fast - watch out for that. - Once your HP is near full and you are at/ahead of 1:43 on the timer, use Fury resonance. Double active skill rotation. Use oath within weakness. - If it's still breathing after all that, beat it up until it dies. ✦ Team B: 1:32 clear. Crit build is crucial for the way I did this fight. First wave: - You need to kill 2 enemies in order to spawn and additional 2 enemies. - Once you're sure that you killed 2 enemies, circle back around to manual lock the newly-spawned shielded enemy as an anchor point for resonance. - The faster you can clear this, the better. My benchmark was 2:15-2:20 on the timer. Second wave: - Resonance when it spawns. DO NOT rush to shieldbreak. - When it generates a shield (white bar on enemy HP), keep attacking it until the shield depletes. Crits make this easier. - After its shield has been depleted, and you have 3-4 bars of Potential (under your HP bar), use resonance to shieldbreak. - During weakness, hold off on using support skill until the very end. You wanna time it so that Searing Slash fires off AFTER weakness ends, to delay the enemy from generating another shield right away, buying you just a bit more time to get some hits in to finish it off. ✦ Team C: Brute force 2/4. Crit build to take advantage of that sweet sweet Crit DMG buff fluctuation. 1:42 clear, but this was on a particularly lucky run, in most attempts I was closer to 1:30. Went low for this because I was curious just how much I could push it! You can go really low! This is a good opportunity to unlock the SHC SMS for an LI that you haven't cleared SHC with yet. I was so happy to use Pilot in this!! Even if he did die a lot. First and second wave: - For the first wave, tap on where the middle mob will show up and quickly use resonance. Targeting the middle mob ensures that resonance hits all enemies. - If resonance doesn't bring the Magma Knaves to the lower 1x HP or doesn't kill them outright, I reset the fight. - If the Magma Knaves still have a sliver of HP, ignore them. They will self-destruct or get killed by Pilot's explosions. - Active skill spam after this point. - Pick up HP at the end of each wave to improve survivability. Third wave: - Active skill spam. - Support skill to refresh the mark, but be careful that it doesn't put Caleb in a bad position. The damage is lethal. - When the camera zooms out and the boss has a red circle right underneath it, that's your cue that it's about to do the spinning attack. Active skill into the spin (BE BRAVE), if you have it up and still need to fill a big damage gap, but quickly dash out of the spin afterwards so you don't get knocked around. - Use oath, 1:34 at the latest, so that you can quickly hit resonance after oath to squeeze in a bit more damage.

Trying Senior Hunt on my new tablet because the details are so beautiful on a bigger screen. Although some moments now feel uncomfortably zoomed in? It's also like playing the piano with the increased risk of carpal tunnel syndrome. Ouchies.

I noticed a nice characterization moment in this in that Caleb always starts battles by casually pivoting on the right foot to take a step forward with the left before we can even move, like a subtle headstart to shield us, and then he finishes this fight in an even more obvious left-foot-forward position, standing closer in our defensive, ready for the next round.

(Meanwhile MC is just 🧍‍♀️ lol)

I don't usually complain about gacha stuff or LADS in general because I really do love the game.

But MAN

The stellactrum imbalance Caleb has is insane.

One of the tasks for the event is to complete a hunters contest stage with him. In the current senior level, he cannot be placed ANYWHERE to meet full stellactrum requirements. (Obviously excluding current event and myth cards)

And I'm someone who has kept his card collection at 100% since release.

I did manage to go to the junior level and find a place for him to go (screenshots attached) and it DID count for the event task.

They really need to rethink his stellactrum quantity. I personally think his myth should have been green or yellow.

Please don’t follow my example—I’m a cautionary tale (with good taste). I’ve seen Reddit posts of people doing 670 pulls for this, okay? Started with 26k dias. Went full gremlin mode grinding Abyssal, then camped like a sniper for that Senior Hunter contest reset. Made back around 10k during the event. And Aurum pass…

…I tell myself that to feel better. Like, “Hey, at least I wasn’t that bad,” as I weep into my wallet.

And now? It’s time to start saving for the next edition of “Caleb Ruins My Dignity (Again).” My wallet. My sanity. My everything. Was it worth it? Absolutely. Would I do it again? Also yes.

thanks to infold mistreatment over sylus and for giving us caleb banner, i was able to skip it and secure diamonds (including finishing open orbit, senior hunter contest and currently doing sylus orbits) to not only get sylus innocent birdcage but max rank him without spending any money

the cycle will continue if they plan on doing white day and if not, it only means saving even more for sylus birthday (which is only 2 days after mine)

XSPACE ECHO

-> NO pulling via diamonds, you'll get a lot of Empyrean Wishes by simply playing the game regularly -> since you get 5 Star Solar Crates after a certain amount of wishes: personally I recommend getting Abysswalker (Rafayel) asap and would advise against going for Foreseer (Zayne) and Farspace Colonel (Caleb) ->-> Abysswalker has crowd control, making it easier to hit multiple Wanderers at once ->-> both Foreseer's and Farspace Colonel's attack strength scales heavily off your Defense stat. The only way to increase it is through Protocores which you need to unlock first, making them both rather unfit companions for newer players -> every new version update has a special version of Xspace Echo where you choose five standard 5 stars as the only five stars in the pool. Wishes cap at 350, you get two 5 Star crates, and it uses Empyrean Wishes it's fantastic for getting more cards of a specific LI or ranking specific cards up. Up to you if you want to save for that or continue pulling in the regular Xspace Echo banner

MYTH BANNERS

-> gives you powerful companions if (!!) you pull both cards -> gives you a crate at 150 pulls, so in the worst case scenario, you need to pull until then to get the full myth

RERUNS

-> I personally wouldn't pull for them unless you have enough resources to get the card guaranteed since reruns are more expensive real money-wise (idk if you plan to put money into this game tho) -> imo the only reruns worth pulling for are myth reruns -> keep in mind that reruns run on a seperate pity system then all other banner types. If you want to built pity, I'd only do it on new banners

GALAXY EXPLORER

-> passive way to get cards and rank them up. You get new magnets by doing your dailies, so make sure to do it daily -> while it's not confirmed in the game itself, many people have said that they get better results by following the 'divide by 6' rule:

Let's say the bigger coordinate is at 47 when you enter Galaxy Explorer. 47 divided by 6 is 7.66, so you set the coordinates to 47-8

-> there's also the 'divide by 4' rule but generally the 'divide by 6' one seems to give even better results. Just experiment a little & see what works better on your end -> using multiple Speedup Cubes at once seems to give better results. Only use them in bulk in the Radiant Galaxy since that one can drop 5 Star shards

TEAM BUILDING

CARD LEVELING

[[the following is only really important if you choose to do Deepspace Trials and participate in the Senior Hunter Contest]] -> the max card level is 80 + you can ascend them once you reach that level. Don't do that, you're burning more resources than it's worth, especially when you just started out. You can still easily pass levels by having a level 70 or even level 60 team as long as you have good Protocores The best proof of that is me beating the Junior Hunter Contest with one Team still being entirely on level 1 and every card having good Protocores equipped -> pay attention which Stellactrums you level for each LI. They all have different main Stellacturm colors:

Xavier: Emerald (standard myth) + Amber (limited myth) + Ruby

Zayne: Sapphire (standard) + Ruby (limited) + Pearl

Rafayel: Violet (standard) + Pearl (limited) + Amber

Sylus: Pearl (standard) + Emerald (limited) + Sapphire

Caleb: Ruby (standard) + Violet (limited) + Emerald

focus primarly on the main Stellactrums of each LI. Those are also the ones that will show up most often when doing their orbits, plus you'll have an easier time in both Open Orbits and the Senior Hunters Contest that way -> go for Myth Pairs over single 5 Star Solars. Equipping a Myth Pair gives you several bonuses such as faster oath recovery time, which will help you more than a solo 5 Star Solar ever could. So until you have a 5 Star Myth Pair, you're fine just using the 4 Star ones for the time being -> the Claymore deals the most damage out of all standard weapons, so if you can get a handle on its play style, go for that one

COMPANIONS

-> Lumiere (Xavier) is supposedly really good, so if you're thinking on pulling on a rerun banner, this is the one! Ultimate Weapon X-02 (Caleb) is also really strong, but it just had its release banner, so it's going to take a while until it reruns -> generally 5 Star Companions are far stronger than their regular counterparts, so always go for the 5 Star ones -> you can switch which companion you want to fight with. Let's say you just got Sylus' Relentless Conquerer and what to use him in battle but his 5 Star Solars are still at level 1 while his 4 Star Myth Pair is at level 50. Just equip the 4 Star Myth Pair, click on the circle next to your companion, and switch This will be especially useful for Deepspace Trials since -> as mentioned above, if you're using your crates for 5 Star Companions, I'd recommend Abysswalker (Rafayel) because crowd control is great imo <3 -> also as mentioned above, I'd avoid using both Foreseer (Zayne) and Farspace Colonel (Caleb) until you have decent Protocores since their attack power scales of your defense stat. Once you do have good Protocores they are really powerful, but you won't get much out of them before that

PROTOCORES

-> the Protocore system is a little much tbh, so if you want I can give you a little more in-depth explanation once I feel like I actually properly understand what to keep an eye out for XD until then though, you can use this little team tracker I made to give you some guidance on what to look out for in your Protocores. It's still a WIP, but feel free to mess around with it. I also have a private one for myself so don't worry about entering your own cards

-> even if you don't care about the love interest, do all their content you have available to get some free diamonds. Either just quickly tap through their anecdotes or let the card date auto run while you do something else for a bit. The amount of free diamonds are really limited, so get all the free ones you can get

REFRESHING DIAMOND SOURCES

-> Deepspace Trials usually get updated with a new version update, but they do not refresh your progress. Definitely a great source for diamond farming if you have a decent team, but not necessarily something to focus on -> the Senior Hunter Contest is your best (and so far pretty much only ;-;) way of consistently farming diamonds in the late game. It refreshes every two weeks and you can earn up to 600 diamonds alongside SSR Protocores, Empyrean Wishes, Energy Capsules and Core Energy every season. Not a lot in terms of diamonds unfortunately, but it's better than nothing Try to pass both Primary and Junior Hunter Contest as soon as possible. The best LIs for passing the first two rounds are Xavier, Zayne and Rafayel. The Stellactrum colors change regularly for the Senior Hunter Contest though, so it's best to level every LI's main Stellactrums

OTHER

-> grab all the freebies you can get, free stuff is always great <3 -> always do your dailies, it's the main way to level up -> also always grab the Empyrean Wishes from the Chocolate and Heartsand Shops that refresh weekly//the discounted ones from the Wish Shop that reset monthly -> if you have instagram/twitter/facebook installed on your device, you can hit share and then immediately back out of the menu, and you'll still get the 10 diamonds as a share bonus -> you can get all items in the event shop even without pulling any of the new cards by simply doing all the other event tasks and doing the daily tasks -> if you want to raise Affinity, go to 'With Him' & then click on 'Memo'. It lists all the ways you can raise it further. Some actions are only a one time thing though, but those are checked off once done -> at a certain point, your main way of raising Affinity will be through obtaining either new cards, new plushies or new Meow Badges -> if you need help with Abyssal Chaos, let me know, I have an (almost) finished tracker for it <3 quick tip right away though: certain codes require another code as a prerequisite. The prerequisite codes always have a little question mark symbol on their explanation, so if you always use those, you'll eventually get all codes

Reference the videos if you need a visual aid for my notes. ✦ Team A: 1:30 clear. I gambled on Galaxy Explorer to get my red pair to R3 so I can meet the stats for this. Thankful that it was just enough! Team A notes: - Time use of active skills/resonance after picking up beacon to utilize the damage buff. - Don't delay on resonance for the first two fights, to buy yourself as much time as possible for the third fight. - Don't push Luminivore past 80% 3x HP or it will lock. Hold off damage until shieldbreak. - Must get a Searing Slash into weakness for Luminivore and Ignis Wyrmlord. Watch the video for how I gathered the beacon stacks. - For the dragon fight, critting on your active skills before shieldbreak helps a lot towards a clear. - To reduce the distance of dragon's dash attack, position yourself with your back facing the closest wall. The dash tends to be the third or fourth attack if it happens. - Final shieldbreak at 1:43 max. ✦ Team B: I was excited to use X-02 for the first time in SHC! He didn't disappoint. 1:33 clear, Oath's Strength and Oath Recovery betas. Oath Recovery is crucial for the fight timing. Team B notes: - I make frequent use of active skill -> resonance -> clusters into weakness in this fight. - Lock onto a target and start building Particle stacks with charged attack -> 2BA combo. Locking is important to keep your attacks aimed at the debuffed target. - I prefer locking onto a Pale Myst (white) because its moves are less erratic = less likely for clusters to miss. - Dark Mysts (black) will get close to you, Pale Mysts will back away from you. Circle around and get in front of the Pale Mysts to make them back up against the other mobs. - Use charged active skill when your oath is charged to 40-45% -> resonance. The oath gauge should immediately fill/be a sliver to filling. - During oath, switch targets often between Synced Strikes to distribute the damage evenly between the mysts. You MUST kill the whole wave after each weakness. - Aim to start wave 3 at 2:00 or earlier. - Getting active skill clusters to hit during weakness helps a lot towards damage. - Final shieldbreak at 1:43 max. ✦ Team C: 1:30 clear. Birthday boy challenge because "I like a difficult fight" okay buddy you asked for it! Happy Birthday Sylus! Team C notes: - Resonance as soon as you enter the arena. Support skill on the middle enemy to apply charged Devour Mark. - Follow up with active skill from the side. If I can't group at least 2 of the enemies to the same side, I restart the fight. - The quicker you can finish the first wave, the better. - For Thunderoar, do resonance -> active skill -> quickly into support skill. Do the same thing later for the deer's shieldbreak. I find that doing support skill -> active skill instead makes it trickier to fit the second active skill into the charged Devour Mark window. - Wave 2 has to end at 2:05 or earlier. - The deer can go into a lock phase at around 50-60% 4x HP, be careful that you don't push damage too far before shieldbreak. - Final shieldbreak at 1:45 max.

NO BC WHAT IM MAD ABOUT IS HOW I CAN BARELT FARM GEMS NOW. LIKE IF I COULD FARM GEMS I WOUDLNT BE COMPLAINING ABOUT THE RERUN BANNER BC okay i refuse to invest in sylus and zayne rn bc i dont have their standard 5* pairs (i joined late so i dont have anyones myth cards) but i have caleb, xavier, n rafayel so im prioritizing their stuff

now unfortunately I AM LITERALLY STUCK ON CALEBS ORBIT LVL THING (WHATEVER ITS CALLED) RN because im somehow the only 4*s im missing for him is his 4* pair WHICH PISSES ME OFF SOOO MUCH UGHHHFJWOHDIS + the 2 standard 5* with the toaster and where hes sick anyways im getting off topic.. IM STUCK ON IT but with enough trying i could probably do it..

and then xaviers and rafayels i have a feeling ill be stuck on theirs soon as well.. but even then going through the orbit stuff doesnt give a lot of gems </3 and ofc i cant do hunter’s contest

i bought the aurum pass so that kinda helps w gem farming n such but i really dont think ill either be lucky enough / get enough gems to get the rerun card since the banner is so quick.. but on the bright side i already have the new one AND ITS SOOO CUTE OHMYGOSH I LOVE IT SM

okay yes for SUREEEEEE i think infold needs to give us more ways to farm gems. personally the daily tasks reward should be like 100 not 50. i also think each bounty hunt you do should give gold regardless of what ur farming. that and they need to increase those reward fr....

i was thinking yesterday they should add something like temple of trials from ToT, basically every week you can earn 450 s-chips which is about the same as lads so it'd be like 450 diamonds

but then i realized ToT doesnt have abyssal chaos or senior hunter contest EITHER WAY they should add another dungeon/hunt/battle that lets us earn some more FOR SURE

ugh im sorry i know how frustrating it can be. i never started gacha gaming until post-college so i've been fortunate enough to be able to spend money and not feel TOO bad about it, since i've been working since i graduated.

EDIT: FORGOT TO SAY ABOUT THE DIAMONDS its truly bc i only pull caleb now ..... so i can save rlly easily. + i do tend to buy the "cheap" packs during banners even if i have saved diamonds, for the mats (so the 50 cent to 5$ ones)
