getting warmer (seulgi/jb)

don't ask her how he ends up in her practice room. seriously. don't. she is a big believer in mysteries of the world and while this one might, like, be the worst thing ever, she is trying to make herself go with it.

"you're not sunny noona," he comments finally and it takes her a minute because it's like this is jb from GOT7 and jb just some guy and which one is she talking to.

"no," seulgi finally says. she's confused. "their practice room is upstairs. and, erm, eonni usually has radio at this time. for a couple of hours."

jb looks resigned.

"i'm bad at this," he admits.

"that's ... that sucks," she offers and even leans forward, punching him in the arm. for moral support. she doesn't know what else to do because she's always kind of sort of nursed this bizarre crush on him. he's a stranger but not a stranger, a weird and unstable version of her ideal type that she would never in a million years admit to because that's ridiculous.

"well, i should go." seulgi blinks and watches. he bows. is polite. then sort of drifts away from her, then out the door and she's seriously confused until the door shuts and she realizes that this was real.

this isn't the first time.

and maybe she should go into the second time, then the third (there is no way you can randomly wander into the red velvet practice room three times), then the fourth ("boys are dumb," joy supplies, laughing) and finally around the fifth or sixth time, she grabs him just as he walks into the room and sort of, okay no really pushes him into the wall in her practice room.

"look," she breathes, flushed with embarrassment. but seulgi goes with the momentum. "i am so stupidly confused right now. are you stalking me? are you trying to tell me that the building is burning down? sunny eonni is NOT here."

he gently reaches for her wrist. she watches. his fingers wrap around her wrist, one, two, and soft as ever. warmer than anything. his thumb press into her pulse. it's like one of those drama moments. so infinitely ridiculous that you're like: is this real life? when, in fact, your heart is beating so fast that it's drowning out everything else. it's like touching; it's almost a kiss.

"i just wanted to see you."

her eyes widen.

his mouth opens. then he smiles. "i'm terrible at this." he rubs the back of his neck. he's sheepish, still holding onto her wrist.

"well, sure," she agrees, heart settling into her throat. he laughs. her brain is spinning. "but i like coffee." seulgi pauses. "black though."

jb nods. "got it."

there first date is nothing to write home about. sunny texts her YOU OWE ME ;D and then jb buys kimbap with her face on it from the company store.

"this is weird," she says.

jb blushes. you know seulgi likes it.
