I realized I had probably provided a photo of the cover before, but never decent scans of the postcards themselves. So, here. Fun fact, this is the reason I tend to call Ahlbi and Shah'do Bokuto and Mitamaru, as I acquired these before the game was even released in English.

I don't have a proper scanner right now, so these were taken with a scanner app and touched up slightly. I especially do want to return to this with a real scanner for the last one, as I love the pixel art (but alas my camera does not!)

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Part 8 - Spirit of Justice (AA6) Episodes 1-3

Ep 1 - The Foreign Turnabout

Tehm'pul Temple? Lmao😂 LOL when Ahlbi gave Phoenix a magatama bun and asked him for payment😂 HAHAHA, I love how there's an option for Phoenix to say he's Khura'inese to try and get in the court😂 lmao that there's a Payne in the court here too hahahah. Phoenix is so brave to just go into the courtroom when these guys are carrying guns! Ohh I thought it was Winston Payne but it's actually Gaspen Payne! The Divination Seance is definitely interesting, quite convenient but obviously not infallible, I wonder how many people have been wronged because of this🥲 The Defence Culpability Act is insane, no wonder why there's no defence attorneys lmao, getting the same sentence as the criminal if you lose? That is crazy! I love Phoenix and obviously he'll continue the defence even if it means he could get the same punishment as his client, but seeing him so resolutely choose to do so always makes me think he's so cool!

Rayfa is so childish lmao😂 I'm so glad the judge is sensible haha. If there's blood on the back of the victim's head, why does everyone think he got whacked by Ahlbi who was at the front? Anyway, Shah'do the doggy is so cute! I'm going to punch Andistan'dhin soon if he doesn't stop singing🥲 Lmao when the melody becomes terrible when he's caught for his lies hahaha. LMAO at the speakers appearing out of nowhere😂😂 I think my ears are bleeding after that testimony with the speakers honestly loll. Why is no one questioning the guitar thing he used at the ceremony which is completely different from the one he's currently using even though he keeps saying he used this one?? I was wondering why the victim's hand was also bloody but I didn't want to think that he was the thief considering Ahlbi respected him. I don't know why they thought the treasure was still in the box when Ahlbi said in the beginning that Rohl asked him if he stole it but okay🥲 Overall, not a bad start but I think the case was more interesting when Rayfa was there, Andistan'dhin was way too annoying and kept giving me a headache lol. Otherwise Shah'do and Ahlbi are super adorable and are the best things out of this case because I'm so glad they're safe haha.

Ep 2 - The Magical Turnabout

Aww, Trucy's magic show with a dragon? Looks so cute haha. It's crazy how accomplished she is at the age of 17! I love how good Apollo is at encouraging people and boosting their spirits by telling them they're fine hahaha. I'm actually kinda sad that Phoenix isn't here for Trucy's debut, and now I'm sad that he's not here for her when she's involved in this possible murder. He prioritised the end of Maya's training over Trucy's debut🥲🥲 I love examining the prison guard! It's always so fun, I never realised you could examine the microphone though, lmao at Athena asking the guard trivia questions haha! Kinda crazy to introduce Reus as someone who was part of Troupe Gramarye back in the day only to die like this! I feel bad for Trucy that this had to happen right before her first show, and it's sad that she's doubting herself that maybe she made a mistake when that's impossible. I'm glad Apollo told her his thoughts because I agree that she would never make a mistake like that. It really broke my heart to see her cry. We can't forgive whoever this culprit is that made Trucy cry! And honestly, if she stabbed Reus, why is there no blood on the sword.

Yayy, I love seeing Ema! Aww I'm so happy for her that she's a forensic investigator! Aww the Tenma family and Klavier sent Trucy flowers to celebrate her debut, that's so sweet! I wonder if Lamiroir will appear~ I'll miss Ema snacking but it's nice to see her happy. Apollo being scared of heights and wanting to hold Athena's hand at some part of the investigation of the catwalk was so cute hahahaha. Retinz is such an ass trying to end Trucy's career and get her behind bars, I hope all his TV shows fail. Wow, he's even more dodgy than expected, three million dollars compensation if it's Trucy's fault that they can't go through with the show. Lmao when you visit Trucy again and she's doing magic tricks with the guard😂😂 Trucy is so strong to push those stage lifts aside by herself and such quick thinking too! It's always so funny how Apollo teases Athena for her crazy strength😂 Eww, Retinz being into the crazy bunny Bonny is disgustinggg. Lmao at the repossessed stickers all over the Wright Anything Agency🤣 there's even one on the fake pasta thing🤣 Lmao when Retinz sticks one of the stickers on Apollo if you examine the stickers hahahaha. Phoenix saying he believes in Apollo and that he'll save the Agency and Trucy is sweet🥲

Wow Nahyuta is much prettier than expected! Oh wow, so Reus got kicked out of Troupe Gramarye because he tried to go on stage even though Magnifi thought he was too unskilled after making some sort of mistake that injured himself🧐 Pretty disgusting that Reus was planning to wreck the show by exposing everything in that notebook during the show. I kinda felt sorry for him that he seemed to have a bright future but I guess he was out for Trucy just because she's a Gramarye. Lmao when Nahyuta said Apollo is going to reincarnate into a stink bug in his next life at this rate he's defending a criminal and the judge calls him Mr Stink Bug hahahahaha. The divine punishment Nahyuta was referring to for Ema was a salary re-evaluation? HAHAHA that's so funny😂😂 Lmao that Ema dusted every surface in the theatre for fingerprints😂 Taxpayers money disappearing on these fingerprint powders hahahah! It's so cute when Ema is happy (on a personal level) when Apollo finds contradictions😆 It's so cute how Apollo wants to be upgraded from stink bug to stag beetle when Nahyuta praises him because stag beetles are cool😂 I like how everyone disses Apollo for his red suit, even Nahyuta says his voice is as loud as his suit😂😂 A loud red pepper in his previous life HAHAHA. Lmao at Nahyuta throwing his prayer beads at Apollo😂 I feel bad for him😂 I have to say, I am quite liking Nahyuta as a prosecutor, I think his arguments are pretty sound and logical despite the verbal and now physical abuse hahaha! It was quite nice of Nahyuta to praise and appreciate Ema for her invaluable testimony and for not letting her personal feelings get in the way. I'm glad Nahyuta didn't take any of Bonny's bs and made her shut up and say her testimony haha. Evil red pepper HAHAHA. LOL at Bonny breaking character without that much of a push from anyone😂 I love the bunny jumping out of the hat animation, it's so cutee even though Bonny isn't cute. I can't believe there's a Bonny and Betty. I guess I should have expected that with the unknown fingerprints but I'm still surprised haha. That scripted prank was definitely mean.

I really like how now a bat comes out of Betty's hat and a bunny comes out of Bonny's hat hahaha. Honestly, with how terrible Retinz is, it feels more like he's Reus and that he was once a magician. I love how they just let Trucy bring a real sword into the courtroom and show her magic trick, it was super cool though! I was really happy when Bonny was encouraged by Trucy's strength and courage and decided to not let Betty overpower her and did what she wanted to do by testifying. Nahyuta lining up for an hour to eat a burger is a hilarious image. I need to see hahaha. Now I feel sorry for this fan that admired Reus/Retinz and died for his revenge.. I quite like Retinz's animations after the reveal, they're pretty cool! I knew the pulley thing was important but I didn't expect it to be the way they killed the fake Reus, that's pretty cruel to the poor guy. I was wondering why the fingerprints in the coffin sides were so weird, it's because they were swapped since Retinz didn't know Bonny made a mistake and put the blood on the wrong side!

The only disappointing thing about Nahyuta (other than being way too insulting sometimes!) is how he refused to admit he was wrong even at the end of trial and insisted on Trucy being the murderer, I'm glad Apollo put him in his place and said he'd go to hell for trying to make an innocent girl to to prison. Something very fitting and probably one of the reasons why it was done so was having Apollo be the one to expose Retinz, since technically Apollo is a Gramarye too, so having him be his foil was fitting. I definitely agree with Apollo that Trucy is no greenhorn and is a great and perfectly capable magician with how she handled everything with a smile with the support of Apollo. I love their bond and the ending was funny too with Apollo being part of the magic show haha! Overall, I definitely think this was a solid case with great emotions all around since it involved Trucy and it was awesome to see Ema again. I still feel bad for the victim because he was basically killed for no fault of his own and he died in such a cruel way too. It's kinda ironic that Retinz in the end killed one of the only people who truly believed in his capabilities as a magician and admired him for it. He really lost sight of what was more important than his grudge. Anyway, Nahyuta is amusing for now and I'm keen to see his relation to Apollo.

Episode 3 - The Rite of Turnabout

Don't get me wrong, Ahlbi is adorable but Shah'do on his head? Cutest dog of all time, he rivals Toby with Gina! I love how it prays when Ahlbi does, and basically imitates him hahaha, so adorable! I think the water spring in front of Tehm'pul Temple is so beautiful with that reflection. It's crazy how much praying is done, two days of praying non-stop?! Lmao at Maya dissing Phoenix's hair for being dull and drooping😂 I find it hilarious that Phoenix fainted from back pain when he tried to get into position to pray😂 I didn't want it to be the high priest that's dead since he has a baby coming along but it really is him!! So sad🥲 But lol, Maya is the accused again😂 Why is Ema here though🧐 LOL at Ema taking the fingerprints of those people praying who haven't moved at all even though there was a murder😂 She really took the opportunity lmao. It's actually pretty funny how Nahyuta tricked Ema to come here to see the "latest forensic techniques" and she's like I went back in time when she got here😂 Lmao when Rayfa cheated by getting Nayna to explain to her about the Inner Sanctum and got all sulky before that when Phoenix caught her out for not knowing much😂 It's pretty funny how Rayfa is the "assistant" since she's following Phoenix around checking that he's not doing anything dodgy.

The Khura'in detention centre is kinda pretty. A bigger window than the usual one haha. Lmao at Phoenix saying Maya should be used to being the usual suspect by now😂 Even though Rayfa can be kinda annoying with her hostility, it's nice to see how much she cares about her people and how considerate she tries to be, she is just 14 years old after all and has a big role. Lmao when Beh'leeb uses her husband's photos to talk and changes photos depending on her expressions😂 Huhh? Justice Minister Inga is Rayfa's father? And her mother is the queen, Ga'ran? Hmmm? Khura'in really feels like a corrupt place huh! Especially with this guy and honestly the queen doesn't seem better from the first impression. I'm starting to think the rebels are probably right. I also questioned as to whether Rayfa has anything better to do than follow Phoenix so I'm glad Maya said that hahahaha. The Plumed Punisher and the Steel Samurai having basically the same theme song but with different instruments is pretty funny and I love that strap that plays the song😂The main reason I was sad that Maya is again the defendant was that she wouldn't be his assistant, but thankfully she still is, yay! Lmao at the Judge saying it's fitting for a lawyer with a defiled soul to have a criminal as a partner haha!

I love the detail that the butterfly on Nahyuta's finger in Khura'in isn't translucent but a real butterfly now? I can't believe the lowest level of Hell here is the Hell of Tickling lmao. I can't believe Rayfa can get a clearer projection but she has never done so (or at least for Ahlbi's trial), and it's possibly inaccurate enough that a word changed??? Ridiculous to even think we should be believing completely in these Divination Seances. Anyway, this dodgy bearded guy seems to be the escaped prisoner I presume. Lmao at him escaping again. Lmao at Nahyuta's beads stopping Phoenix from pointing his finger hahahaha, I guess that's less rude than the one he did to Apollo's head😂 I have to admit though, the scheme Nahyuta thinks Maya did to kill the High Priest sounds pretty good, but pointless since the Seance said she was the killer anyway lol. I didn't expect the Guilty but I also didn't expect the next death during the trial lol. Mr Zeh'lot was the one who died omg, to die while praying is kinda sad. Hmm if they're talking about measuring the time of death by body temperature, how accurate would it be considering how cold this place of prayer is and how long he's been here? Ohh the person who Maya exchanged the Steel Samurai watch to get the Plumed Punisher strap was Beh'leeb? Dhurke was a lawyer previously?! He looks so menacing, I didn't expect that haha! OMG a photo of Dhurke, Nahyuta and Apollo?! So Nahyuta and Apollo are like childhood friends?? Wait WHAT, Dhurke's sons?!?!?! So they're brothers?!?! Nahyuta used to be a rebel?!?! Oh, Apollo is his adopted son🧐 I'm starting to think that Ms InMee is either a relevant person in the rebels or Lady Kee'ra haha. I don't want to believe in the latter though since she does seem to love her husband.

I guess the Divination Seance didn't work because Zeh'lot is not his real name? Lmao when the judge tried to say he's got that clergy mark on his buttocks and Nahyuta cut him off and was like too much information😂😂 I guess with the Seance showing the Plumed Punisher theme song, the killer must be Beh'leeb? I actually thought the beak of the bird was the murder weapon but I guess the other protruding feathers probably make more sense hahahha. I actually feel bad for Rayfa though. She's been taught to believe that the Divination Seance is the truth and not a means to the truth and firmly believed that, so having Phoenix basically shove in her face that she's been interpreting it wrong is hard to stomach, especially since she's probably been convicting people with them since however long she's been able to do it. I was wondering why the high priest said Maya channeled Lady Kee'ra to kill when no one knows her face. Anyway, I guess I can kindaaa understand why Tahrust killed himself to protect his wife, but it was pretty slack to push everything on to Maya. I guess the good thing is that I'm glad Beh'leeb's love was really true and not fake and I definitely support the rebels! The only thing is, the case itself was boring and only felt like a setup and reason showing the injustice of the legal system in Khura'in. It wasn't very engaging and fell kinda flat imo. Datz was a cool guy though I guess lol.

Overall, Trucy's case was definitely my favourite, then Ahlbi's and then Maya's. Trucy's one flowed well, had good emotions and it really felt fun trying to solve it. In a sense, it was like a big magic show for you to uncover the truth behind things for the show and for the case. Retinz was great because of how petty he was and he had a good breakdown sequence. He's a disappointing guy that lost focus on what he should have cared about but I guess that's exactly why it was tragic but also interesting. The first case showed once again Phoenix's resolve as a lawyer to protect his client and pursue the truth no matter what, even if it means risking his life and I enjoyed that the most about it even though I didn't like the culprit and his shenanigans. But the third case was definitely the weakest because of how long it dragged and I wasn't particularly feeling it until the channelling part. It was good to show the consequences of the law here but I still think it was horrible for that guy to do this to Maya knowing she would die for it if Phoenix wasn't around. Now let's see how the last few cases fare!
