We LOVE seeing what our bubbles get up to, and these pictures are just totally gorgeous. Mental Health Awareness Week The bubbles are the most therapeutic thing.  They are my go to for peace, unwinding, inspiration, finding my zen.   I know if my day has been stressful, they will really help change my state of mind.  If I’m stuck for ideas, they will inspire me.  If I’m feeling down, they will lift me. They never fail to help me. There is a scientific reason for this, although it is not fully understood.  It seems that there is something that happens in brain activity when looking at, and experiencing, bubbles, they induce alpha wave activity – similar to what happens when you’re watching an open fire.  Calm, yet creative, relaxed, and receptive. Bubbles for Carers. As many of you know, here at Dr Zigs, we do a lot more than just make our awesome Giant Bubble Toys. We are also a collection, sort, pack and shipping point for aid for refugees. Every single day we recieve donations from our amazing community. Every Wednesday evening volunteers from Pobl i Bobl gather here at Dr Zigs to help sort and pack, and then this is sent to those in need - be it to local homeless, the emergency housing team - or, the magority to refugees via CARE UK Charity (Refugee aid NW) - our closest container depot. We are one of several grassroots organisations that feed into these containers. To think that through Dr Zigs - and thanks to the purchace of every one of your bubble kits - we have fed into 46 containers of aid is nothing short of phenomenal.
