I have questions about that last fic. How did the prisoners alter their uniforms, and what were the consequences? What did they throw at Es? What did they trick Fuuta into eating and how? How did they try to catch Jackalope?

LMAO murder aside these ten know how to cause problems on purpose 😭 Hehe thank you for your curiosity, I genuinely had visualized some specifics for these while writing >:3 So --

Mahiru started sewing patches and ribbons and things onto her uniform dress. She got very bold very quickly, though, completely replacing whole sections with colorful fabric (like swapping out the entire skirt/bodice/sleeves) so it was pretty obvious. Es replaced all her uniforms with the standard ones and limited her requests to only small amounts of fabric at a time. (Who’s to say she isn’t secreting these away to patch together later, though…)

I was influenced by seeing two “what are the limits of Milgram’s no-violence policy, really” posts very recently. I think if the object could cause absolutely no harm, it’s possible to hit Es with it. I’m thinking basic crumpled paper or even a lightweight food -- something harmless but very sticky and gets in their hair… either way Es is Not Pleased. I feel like this could have been anyone except Haruka and Mahiru, as even the more "mature" prisoners would just be curious about what would happen.

My original thought was cake, but now that I’m fact checking I see that it grows mold pretty quickly… So maybe pudding: the eggs and milk spoil a bit before you see actual mold. Whoever has decided to be a menace (my guess is Yuno or Mikoto) puts up a whole farce about food preferences and whether or not they can identify specific flavors in this special dessert Jackalope secreted away, and unfortunately Fuuta is a hungry boy and it’s not very difficult to get him to take a big bite 😔

Jackalope lounges around the prison, chilling with the prisoners and taking naps in whatever place he finds comfortable. They try sneaking up to where he’s settled in, distracting him with treats and gentle words to see how long they can keep him in place as they give him gradually more noticeable pets. Muu has coaxed him into enough peace to take off his hat and pet his head, but no one’s managed to give him little scritches before he tries to regain his dignity and scurries away. Little do they know, he forces Es to scratch, pet, brush, and cuddle him every single night under the pretense of their official duties.

016: I did everything believing it was the right choice at the time. But I wish I'd done more sooner. It would have saved my sister a lot of suffering and I might not even be here if I had.

016: Who knows. But I don't regret what I did.

015: I'm on good terms with everyone. Though, I like talking with Kayano. He's a bit like an older sibling.

016: I like taking care of Amane and always try to look after her, we're the youngest in the prison after all. But I don't know if she likes it...

Q: Which prisoner would you say is most like you?

015: Mr Mukuhara. There's just something about him, like if he looks at me too long he'll know what I did. That he'll know that I broke a promise too.

016: Not that sure actually...maybe Kotoko?No...Kajiyama? I don't know. But Kajiyama's actually kinda nice when you get down to it, isn't that surprising? He looks out for Haruka, like I try to do for Amane.

Q: Is there a verdict you hope for?

015: That would defeat the point. I want to be judged properly by an outside perspective. Whatever you decide must be correct, right?

016: I'd like to be forgiven, since I think I did the right thing. But I know what I did also hurt others, so I understand if you choose not to forgive me.

i was thinking that the trial results would go something like:

for naoto (015) it'd be t1 guilty t2 innocent, something like fuuta. because his mv and song would be super vague and the prevalent theory would paint him in a terrible light, kinda like shidou except without the pretty privilege, and like fuuta whether he feels bad or not is hard to tell, so he gets guiltied. then somehow his trial 2 would garner him a crap ton of sympathy again like fuuta and his vote would turn around

for akane (016) it'd be t1 innocent t2 guilty, kinda like a reverse of naoto. she might be like muu or kotoko where the trial 1 paints her as super sympathetic/heroic, leading you to root for her, but in trial 2 she gets painted in a more negative light so she gets guiltied then

funny side note is that in terms of character parallels by complete accident i accidentally gave naoto like a wild number of paralles to kazui?? like i reached the 'which prisoner would you say is most like you' question, looked at it and suddenly realized, hey isn't this guy just like kazui??? it's that 'i personally relate to kazui a staggering amount' swag ig

akane's parallels were a lot harder to think of because she paralleled a lot of characters in different ways, so the way i ended up writing her response was deliberate and it's great fun to me lol.

i actually couldn't decide if akane would like fuuta or hate his guts, so i didn't include a 'who do you get along with?' question here since i didn't know how to answer it

for their names i ended up going down the 100 most common japanese surnames list on wikipedia and choosing ones that i thought fit, then put them in combination with their given names. i think what i came up with is a little morbidly funny in relation to their crimes that i still think i was kinda clever for, but i didn't write anything about their actual crimes beyond the vague hints in the interro questions, and i havent included the actual characters for their names. idk is that interesting to you guys

so anyways i was wondering if it'd be better if i elaborated on the crimes and wrote them out as it happened in another post or..? idk what do you guys think? should i continue to just be super vague about them

i did also come up with these guys with a prisoner pair theme in mind and it's supposed to be something like 'how much of yourself would you give for your loved ones' but im a little afraid that might be too similar to shidou and mahiru's theme about love? even though their crimes are vastly different i think

Which Milgram character is your favourite, and why?

Currently it's mikoto, but my all time fave is mahiru! These two are so relatable to me and they make me ill i like thinking abt them and their 49894 problems in life :D I also like the fact that they're kinda the odd ones out in the prison (mahiru being a sunny person in a gloomy place, mikoto being the "normal and average" guy) it's just very appealing to me hehe

4. What's your favourite Minigram?

I love the one where mahiru throws a sleepover with mikoto and kazui and the one where she gives amane and yuno new hairstyles!

7. Which prisoner do you think you would get on with the most if you met them in person, and why?

i think mikoto since he could carry conversations even if im not responding haha. yuno and mahiru are good too, once again since they're mostly the ones initiating convos. i also wholeheartedly believe i can be friends w amane and es, come let us talk abt topics i cant comprehend

8. Which prisoner do you think you would get on with the least if you met in person, and why?

haruka and i cant hold conversations, but we will survive w the magic of friendship trust. muu is muu and fuuta is fuuta but i'll be more tolerant of them as time goes one (probably haha)

i'll just answer for both trials haha

for trial 1 its MeMe and INMF for trial 2! MeMe because i like the contrast and the switching sm, the voice effects is used very well and gives the song a very nice vibe. INMF for the bass and i love her vocals too, i love how she transitions from a cutesy and high voice to a slightly lower and sterner one. i loop meme when im stressed and inmf when i made a mistake lmao

i'm holding myself back because then i'd be here all day lol

for t1 i like weakness because of the collages! i cant imagine how hard it must be to make for the crew but its very beautiful. i love how it gives off a very nostalgic and whimsical vibe while also being scary!

i have lots of headcanons for them haha

mikoto likes horror movies, john has (accidentally) befriended some stray animals in the neighborhood and mikoto got scared when random animals just started following him around after work, they own a body pillow (w a hanged man design bc yeah), mikoto has kept the same hairstyle since high school, john has a sweet tooth and he has a very awkward/forced looking smile

i actually dont know anything abt what ppl dont understand abt them haha. perhaps more discussions abt how mikoto and john sees/forms relationships with other people? probably? maybe how mikoto is like a mannequin? the way both of them put value on themselves based on their perfomance or something? (like mikoto w work, john w protecting mikoto, paralleling kotoko's relationship w justice) and seeing themselves as tools/stepping stones for the purpose they serve? which feeds into mikoto's isolation from other people??
