Hey girl! Love your analysis on the Shuri x Namor dynamic. U really love that it is objective.

Can you provide your insights on the ending scene with Namor and Namora? Everyone is saying that this conversation is him implying that he will betray Wakanda but I think there is more to this. Meaning I feel like there will be riots because his yielded ie Namora’s disappointing face so he might get push back from his council.

Anywho. . .as to your question about my opinion on the conversation between Namor and Namora at the end of the movie, I actually kinda agree with you on this one!😎

Namor has made it clear from the start that his #1 objective is to enure the safety of his people, and he pretty much wanted an alliance with Wakanda from the start (he just had to go the long way around to get there). And Namor is no dummy, he would benefit more with Wakanda and the Talokanil being on good terms with each other. They both have access to Vibranium, they both have strong fighters/warriors and as he pointed out, Shuri had every right to kill him and spared him. He's seen first hand what kind of power SHE has. They already had a bond before sh*t popped off, so differences and past transgressions aside, they really do need each other.

I think that if any betrayal *does* happen, it will be Namora who will betray HIM, epecially if he ends up getting cloe to Shuri. I don't think Namora is above jealously, and hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. Everything just really all depends on if and how they decide to address things moving forward in this franchise. Some of Namor's trusted advisors betraying him would definitely make things more interesting! To put Namor in a situation where he has to chooe between honoring his alliance with Wakanda or honoring his allegiance to his own people.

Just saw "Barbie"!! 😁

Overall: Great message... Great music 🎶.... Funny scenes..... Loved the nostalgia..... But not really as good as I thought it would be. 🥴

I think many ppl will LOVE it though. I just don't think the movie was as good as it's hype. 🤷🏾‍♀️ Or, maybe my expectations were a bit too high? 🤔

Bottom Line: It just wasn't as good as I thought it was going to be tbh.

The Good: Ryan Gosling absolutely steals the show in this. I laughed the hardest at his scenes tbh, and I was like staring at his incredible abs the whole entire time rofl 🤣 😂 Idk how he got his abs so amazing, but I was just in awe rofl 🤣

America Ferrera delivered the best line/scene in the entire film (imo), and has a scene that was quite possibly the best in the entire movie.

I saw the trailer for "Challengers" on the BIG screen right before this movie came on, and let me just say, the trailer is WAY more awesome on the BIG SCREEN! Zendaya is gonna KILL it in this role hunny!! 👏🏾 I cam already tell it. It looks REALLY GOOD on the big screen, and the whole love triangle thing with Z, Mike and Josh's characters looks so amazing. 😊😁 I really think she's going to WOW ppl in this role.

Just sad that I won't be able to see it sooner rather than later, but I'm def willing to wait. 🥰

I would say "Barbie" is worth the watch if you're really into Barbie or the actors in the film, but this film is def one that I could have caught on streaming and not felt like I missed out on anything. 🤷🏾‍♀️

With that said, it's CRUSHING the box office.... which is nice! 😁👍🏾

My Movie Review: "The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes"

I just saw The Hunger Games last night! 😁

Overall: I really liked it! 😃👍🏾 Dare I say it, I think I even liked it better than "The Marvels"!

I honestly didn't have any super high expectations for this film, but I knew that I def wanted to check it out. I was happy that it was actually a lot better than I thought it would be!

The Pros:

The storyline was really engaging and had me hooked right from the beginning. 😊

The cast was really good! 👍🏾 I meannnn..... you can't go wrong with Viola Davis, Peter Dinklage, and Jason Schwartzman lol. But the ENTIRE cast was just really solid. Lots of great acting in this imo.

I had seen Rachel Zeigler already in "West Side Story" and thought she did a fine job in that, but I was pleasantly surprised to see that she carried this film very well and did a fine acting job in this film also! 😃 She really has a knack for doing various different accents. And her voice is so pretty! She can sing really well. 👍🏾There was one song she sings in the movie that I really liked and might have to look up. She definitely stood out to me, and I think she's def going places if she plays her cards right.

I had never seen Tom Blyth in a film before, but he did a really great job as well! 😃 I felt like he and Rachel had really great chemistry together, and for a relative "unknown", I thought he carried the film very well.

Hunter did a pretty good job, and it was nice seeing her on the big screen for a change. 😊

What can I say about Viola? I mean.... it's Viola Davis for goodness sakes. She really steals the show here imo, and she makes a pretty good complicated villain. I love villains who are not so cookie-cutter, but are more complex... almost like they're so charming you don't know whether to hate them or actually LIKE them lol 😆 😂 That's exactly the type she was in this film. 👍🏾

Like I said, the entire cast was superb and really played their roles well. There were NO weak links in this cast from what I saw. Everyone pulled their weight imo. 😁👏🏾

The Cons:

The film is a bit long (2 hours 37mins), so if you prefer your movies UNDER 2hrs long, then you may wanna skip this one lol 😆

The graphic nature of CHILDREN killing each other might be a bit gruesome and disturbing to some

The movie didn't explain much in the beginning, so if you've never read the book, you might feel a bit lost at first for a little while

OVERALL SCORE: 8/10

I really liked it! 😃 Very good origin story. It's one of those films that I will need to watch a second time in order to tie everything together. That cliffhanger makes me feel like they will def make a part 2. They just can't leave us hanging like this lol 😆

timothee during dune press tour was stellar. Zendaya was otherworldly in her outfits but timmy def held his own.

I think timothee has found his look and the brands he likes to work with alexander mcqueen, stella mcartney, vivienne westwood, bottega vanetta, heidi slimane, louis vouton and knows how to use womens wear effectively and thats why he can take more risks at the red carpet.

Timmy and Mcqueen are always his best looks. Zendaya rick owens and timmy zippersuit was legit amazing.

P.s. same with austin, elvis really elevated his fashion game and he starting to know which cuts, pieces and brands perfectly match his personality.

I agree! Whoever has been styling him for the "Elvis" press tour and red carpet events has been firing on all 4 cylinders coz whew... 👌🏾 The MET Gala, the red carpet events, etc. I think he has 2 stylists....a male and a female IIRC.

Anyway, can't wait to see those 3 slay on the red carpet for Dune 2 if they all attend 😊

I think my favorite met gala look from Z is 2015. I think that’s the year. I I liked all of them really but I just really liked that year for some reason. I don’t know what year but I also liked the red hair and heavy metal dress. The one Tom posted 🤭

Ironically, I didn't really like the 2016 or 2017 looks, but I LOVED the 2018 look (haha yes, Tom posted before she even did lol 🤭😍), and I even liked her Cinderella look in 2019. 😊
