Rain Song
[by Hitoshizuku-P]
As the sky’s swallowed up bit by bit
Scorched by a sun that is harshly colored in red
The land dries, and the plants all wither
Life starts to end, nearing its extinction
-
I beg of you, God of the Rain
Don’t leave us to struggle so, with your merciful tears, bless us
The shrine maiden who prayed
Offered herself as a sacrifice for their sake
-
The melodious voice of the God of Rain
Turns into the roar of water that falls from the sky
Would that I could as well hear soon enough
The sweet sound of your voice turning into falling drops
-
Looking up at the sky above, clear blue and calling for the clouds
She longs to see the rain fin’lly come, calling it with a song
Please bring the water down, and so save everyone from the drought
Her prayer resounds, and her song carries on
-
Hurry down, hurry down, and devour me here and now, please...
(Why sing and offer yourself to me?)
-
Because if somebody doesn’t, then we...
(Shall I send the rain as I eat you alive?)
-
We have run out of water, life has begun to wither, the people suffer; may you deliver them
(But you will...)
The people...
Deliver them from the drought, I beg you, God...
(Then it is for you now that I shall sing...)
-
Looking up at the sky above, dark now and calling for the clouds
She longs to see the rain fin’lly come, calling it with a song
Down to the very last, I’ll sing until my life’s faded out
Sing a song that calls you...
-
Mighty thunder, I now beseech, split now the clouds over me
And spill the water down on the earth, submerging every-thing
Till you devour me, and till my prayer is in your reach
I will continue to sing
-
I look upon the sky, cheeks wet, as now I realize
Rain falls and douses all of the land, washing the sun away
O wind, carry along my voice telling of storms in a song
Until it is heard by the God of Rain

PACING GUIDE
(please note that this is a rundown of how I imagine these lyrics being sung as illustrated by the separation of syllables in the original romaji. this is not a representation of how the original Japanese lyrics are supposed to be sung or written i.e. some syllables may be made to run together, one syllable may be stretched out into more than one, some romaji are on a different line from where they are in the original, etc.)

Quote
So thereupon the Heaven-Shining-Great-August-Deity, terrified at the sight, closed [behind her] the door of the Heavenly Rock-Dwelling, made it fast, and retired. Then the whole Plain of High Heaven was obscured and all the Central Land of Reed-Plains darkened. Owing to this, eternal night prevailed. Hereupon the voices of the myriad Deities were like unto the flies in the fifth moon as they swarmed, and a myriad portents of woe all arose. Therefore did the eight hundred myriad Deities assemble in a divine assembly in the bed of the Tranquil River of Heaven, and bid the Deity Thought-Includer, child of the High-August-Producing-Wondrous-Deity think of a plan, assembling the long-singing birds of eternal night and making them sing, taking the hard rocks of Heaven from the river-bed of the Tranquil River of Heaven, and taking the iron from the Heavenly Metal-Mountains, calling in the smith Ama-tsu-ma-ra, charging Her Augustness I-shi-ko-ri-do-me to make a mirror, and charging His Augustness jewel-Ancestor to make an augustly complete [string] of curved jewels eight feet [long],—of five hundred jewels, —and summoning His Augustness Heavenly-Beckoning-Ancestor-Lord and His Augustness Great-Jewel, and causing them to pull out with a complete pulling the shoulder [-blade] of a true stag from the Heavenly Mount Kagu, and take cherrybark from the Heavenly Mount Kagu, and perform divination, and pulling up by pulling its roots a true cleyera japonica with five hundred [branches] from the Heavenly Mount Kagu, and taking and putting upon its upper branches the augustly complete [string] of curved jewels eight feet [long],—of five hundred jewels,—and taking and tying to the middle branches the mirror eight feet [long], and taking and hanging upon its lower branches the white pacificatory offerings and the blue pacificatory offerings, His Augustness Grand-jewel taking these divers things and holding them together with the grand august Offerings, and His Augustness Heavenly-Beckoning-Ancestor-Lord prayerfully reciting grand liturgies, and the Heavenly Hand-Strength-Male-Deity standing hidden beside the door, and Her Augustness Heavenly-Alarming Female hanging [round her] the heavenly clubmoss of the Heavenly Mount Kagu as a sash, and making the heavenly spindle-tree her head-dress, and binding the leaves of the bamboo-grass of the Heavenly Mount Kagu in a posy for her hands, and laying a soundingboard before the door of the Heavenly Rock-Dwelling, and stamping till she made it resound and doing as if possessed by a Deity, and pulling out the nipples of her breasts, pushing down her skirt-string usque ad privates partes. Then the Plain of High Heaven shook, and the eight hundred myriad Deities laughed together. Hereupon the Heaven-Shining-Great-August-Deity was amazed, and, slightly opening the door of the Heavenly Rock-Dwelling, spoke thus from the inside: "Methought that owing to my retirement the Plain of Heaven would be dark, and likewise the Central Land of Reed-Plains would all be dark: how then is it that the Heavenly-Alarming-Female makes merry, and that likewise the eight hundred myriad Deities all laugh?" Then the Heavenly-Alarming-Female spoke saying: "We rejoice and are glad because there is a Deity more illustrious than Thine Augustness." While she was thus speaking, His Augustness Heavenly-Beckoning-Ancestor-Lord and His Augustness Grand-jewel pushed forward the mirror and respectfully showed it to the Heaven-Shining-Great-August-Deity, whereupon the Heaven-Shining-Great-August-Deity, more and more astonished, gradually came forth from the door and gazed upon it, whereupon the Heavenly-Hand-Strength-Male-Deity, who was standing hidden, took her august hand and drew her out, and then His Augustness Grand-jewel drew the bottom-tied rope along at her august back, and spoke, saying: "Thou must not go back further in than this!" So when the Heaven-Shining-Great-August-Deity had come forth, both the Plain of High Heaven and the Central-Land-of-Reed-Plains of course again became light.

SAMSON & DEBBIE’S STORY CONTINUES
May 15th, 2014
Broda Samson says, "he has grown anoda wing". We talked late into d night afta we finished eating yamflour & ila asepo, "mai" lord do sleep early, probably bc of his daily midnight watch, but I did not allow him 2 sleep early 2da as we keep discusing various issues, from my akademiks 2 family life 2 d ongoing issue within d island, d increase tide of kidnappings & he said "the inception of politiks & d desire 2 get 2 echelon post @ all cost by d politicians are not un-associated with dis worrisome development, bc many of dem are using human blood as sacrifices, dey r using human blood 2 appeal 2 their gods 2 assist dem get 2 d topmost position, I think d politikal offices she be made less attractive", he enthused. Relationship is all about sacrifices if it is 2 be enjoyed by both parties. One ought not 2 be sacrificing with d oda person thinking it is my right, he or she also ought 2 balance up, by offering some needful sacrifices to make d journey a blessed one, enjoyable one. None of the partners should think and or lay the sacrifices needful for the growth of the relationship on his or her partner, because relationship involves two people and it shd be treated as such, "ohun aba jijọ wo, gigun lo ngun" so the elder says... IrreSpective of d person's age in d journey, bc some people are new, while some are old. Some are old bc of separation from many causes and or death...So, despite such age, both person needs 2 sacrifice if actually dey love being 2geda, if truly dey wanted 2 grow in love 2geda. Sister Debbie did not have any ugly past in dis journey of love, bc "mai" lord as she used 2 call her love is d only person she has ever given her nod of love to. And co-incidentally, broda Samson also did not have untoward experiences with other lass, except that many if not all d ladies he abinitio talked to never accepted his hand of fellowship in love.. Sister Debbie & Broda Samson are deeply in love, and every1 could attest 2 dat, they r enjoying themselves They are enjoying themselves in this love relationship... We talked & talked until I started dozing and I slept off with my head resting on his lap...He woke me up 2 go & sleep in d bedroom. The ffg day, afta our morning prayer, he left 4 shop early 2 go & tidy up some things bc it was d sales personnels who closed the shop yda..I am not expected in d office for I am on a leave...when I eventually got up, I did d tidying up dat was suspended d previous day...bc of his diary dat I read which later turn out 2 be a memorable outing 4 us...Afta dis, I left 4 d market 2 buy foodstuffs & soup ingredients...afta which I returned home 2 prepare d soup & dinner along 4 him in d office. "Ẹ ku ise o", Debbie said, as she walks to his side and embraced him. ""Uhm! Tabi iwọ ti a o ba ki ku isẹ." I thought u will not be able 2 come here again" "mai" lord said. "Kilode? Tabi e o fẹ ki n wa ni? Even if u do not want me 2 come, I have told u dat I have signed a life-long contract with u, u will neva be alone again, wherever u r, just look behind u, u will see me dia, I shall always be your undetachable tail... Broda Samson interjecting, as he dropped his pen, resting his back in d chair, placed his hands on d chairs arms, said, "Hun-hun?" Debbie continues, "...beni o, nitori tẹru-tẹru labuke nrin, tẹru tẹru labuke nwọlu, emi atiyin ni nibikibi, nitoripe bi igbin ba fa ikarahun a tẹ le ni", whereeva u be, I will always be dia by God's grace until death separates us" she concluded, as she drops d food warmers on a corner, pulled out a seat opposite "mai" lord to sit down, "oru ma mu mi kẹ". "It is bc u r just coming in, by d time u acclamatize to d office's weather, d perspiration would have gone", broda Samson enthused, and then I, Debbie, looked at the "The Light" Newspaper headlines on his desk, he buys Newspaper regularly I have been telling him to stop wasting his money on Newspapers because many of their reportage are false but he said 4m false one will extract true and dat he gets some facts from those newspapers...according to an elderly man, newspaper these days is more or less like a textbook or story book or whatever, it is usually loaded, full of myriads of infomation...so, I have to stop complaining...I took "The Light" Newspaper and was going thru it until I got to the section of the viewpoints, and there I saw a write up " BRUSHING ASIDE THE LIMITERS" by mr IRONIPEPE NPA. So, I asked "mai" lord, "have u read dis article?" He paused to answer, "which of the articles my love?", "Brushing aside the Limiters", Debbie said. "Oh yeah", "mai" lord replied, "it is interesting, d man who wrote d article and I got admitted into the University @ d same time, studying the same course, but in his 200Level he joined d institutuons mainstream politics and he was expelled in 300Level..." "Was dat so?" my love inquired. "Yes...afta his expulsion with about 7 others, they took the institution to court for unconstitutional expulsion, but while d instituted court case linger on, he obtained another University entrance form & got admitted into anoda university...By the time d legal tussle will be over, he was already in his final year & wouldnt need the verdict of d court again...Afta graduation, he became a freelance writer for the newspaper, and as the saying, "isẹ rẹ yio fi ọ han", when the management of the newspaper saw his make up he become employed as a member of staff of the newspaper". "Eh-hen. Someone who doesnt know dis may think he has not experienced much", Debbie said. "That is it, one must not judge people on surface level, "ikoko ti yo jata idi re yo gbona loro ile aiye", many of us have our pasts, it is only when we become blessed dat people see us and start complaining..." "That is it "mai" love", Debbie said. "When I was reading his article, I said 2 mysef, he has grown another wing...The institution abinitio pulled off his feathers, but he regathered d pieces of his life 2geda charting anoda course & path for .for himsef, and here he is today", broda Samson said. "There are so many ways to making it, when a route is blocked by enemies, one shd be sensitive enof to take anoda route & with dedication, doggedness, soon one will become exceptionally noticed in dat new way, but limiting one's self 2 a place, a closed channel is nay d best", Debbie said. "Not even in dis technologikal age, one should not be myopic, whateva evil anyone does, God usually overturn them, God usually change dem 2 one's good...but d problem with many a one is d ability to accept what happened early and take a new path..."Ẹ jọwọ ounjẹ ti ẹ gbewa da? Ebi ti de?" broda Samson said. Debbie standing up, said, "Ebi o kabọ o, o ku irin, mo ti n sed message si ẹ latarọ". "Bẹni ti ẹ ri, mo mọ awon ota mi tipẹ", "mai" lord said. "Awa ore yin na lẹ o ma pe lọta yin, awa ti a fe nyin fun ire, awa ti a fe itesiwaju ati ilosiwaju nyin, awa ti a nje ki oju nyin dan bi i omo jojolo" as she talks she is putting the food warmers on the table, ""mai" lord, do u know dat things are costly in d market 2da, me who does not like too much "pricing", had to join the train of the "pricers" today b4 I could buy those things I bought", she concluded. "Only God will save us, anytime the market women hear that salaries have been increased they also inflate the prices of their goods as it we are all salary earners", broda Samson said. "They said by doing that, they will also get their largesse 4m the govt, howeva, indirectly", Debbie said. "I will also have to increase d prices of my goods too, to get out of d largesse", "mai" lord said. "I will send messages to market control dept's office of d Island 2 come & enforce compliance in dis shop" Debbie said. "Sebi o niwo lore mi lekan ni? Aye ma le o", broda Samson said. "Ore awon mekunnu nimi lori oro yi o", Debbie said. "Aje wipe a o ma gba awẹ niyen o", broda samson said. "I reject dat in Jesus name. He has promised 2 supply all our needs according to His riche His riches in glory", Debbie said. "E sa wa jeun o", broda Samson said. "Mo ti jeun temi nile o", Debbie said, "do u think I can wait till this time?" "I wont eat again "niyen", maybe poison wa nibẹ", broda Samson said. "Ebi o ti payin niyen o, bi ebi ba pa yin, e o mo wipe ko si bi mo se fẹ se ounje yen ti mi o ni fi "love concortion" sinu ẹ"...as she starts eating with her love... TRANSLATION

anoda (= another)
"ohun aba jijọ wo, gigun lo ngun"(Yoruba proverb meaning when we looked at something together we would correct the errors and it would be straightened)   ffg (means following) "Ẹ ku ise o", (means Weldone oh) ""Uhm! Tabi iwọ ti a o ba ki ku isẹ." (Uhmn! It is you that I should greet, that you are weldone)
"Kilode? Tabi e o fẹ ki n wa ni? (Why? Or don’t you want me to come here in the first instance?)
"...beni o, nitori tẹru-tẹru labuke nrin, tẹru tẹru labuke nwọlu, emi atiyin ni nibikibi, nitoripe bi igbin ba fa ikarahun a tẹ le ni", (means Yes oh, because the person with a hunch back enters the town with loads on his/her body (it’s a Yoruba proverb, clarifying the proverb she says) everywhere you go, it is you and me, (adding another Yoruba Proverb) because when snails crawl the shells will not be left behind)
"oru ma mu mi kẹ". (meaning, I am feeling heat (probably perspiring) "isẹ rẹ yio fi ọ han",(means your work will reveal you)
"ikoko ti yo jata idi re yo gbona loro ile aiye", (means life is like the pot that will cook a soup which will first be heated up by fire (it’s a Yoruba Proverb)
"Ẹ jọwọ ounjẹ ti ẹ gbewa da? Ebi ti de?" (Please where is the food you have prepared and brought for me? I am now hungry?”)
"Ebi o kabọ o, o ku irin, mo ti n send message si ẹ latarọ". (means Hunger, welcome oh, how was your journey? For quite a while now, I have been sending messages to you) "Bẹni ti ẹ ri, mo mọ awon ota mi tipẹ", "mai" lord said. (means I know you, I have long know those who are my enemies) "Awa ore yin na lẹ o ma pe lọta yin, awa ti a fe nyin fun ire, awa ti a fe itesiwaju ati ilosiwaju nyin, awa ti a nje ki oju nyin dan bi i omo jojolo" (means Those of us who are your friends are those you will be calling your enemies, those of us who want you to succeed, those of us who want your progress and growth, those of us who ensure that your face look babyish everyday are those you will be calling your enemies)
"pricing", (means negotiating that prices of goods be reduced, it is the common thing in the local market in Nigeria and perhaps some African countries)
"Sebi o niwo lore mi lekan ni? Aye ma le o", (means but are you not the one who called yourself my friend just a while ago? The world is wicked!”)
"Ore awon mekunnu nimi lori oro yi o", (means on this case, I should be seen as friends to the indigent/poor ones in this matter). "Aje wipe a o ma gba awẹ niyen o", (meaning it means I shall be fasting oh). "E sa wa jeun o", (means come and join me on the table/come and eat with me) "Mo ti jeun temi nile o", (meaning, I have taken my food at home before coming here)   "I wont eat again "niyen", (meaning, that means I will not eat what you have prepared again)  maybe poison wa nibẹ" (meaning who knows may be you have put poison there), broda Samson said. "Ebi o ti payin niyen o, bi ebi ba pa yin, e o mo wipe ko si bi mo se fẹ se ounje yen ti mi o ni fi "love concortion" sinu ẹ" (meaning, that means you are pretending to be hungry, but you are actually  not, because assuming  you are you will know that there is no how I would prepare your food that I will not add love concortion there (love concortion is the African charms added to soup to make the opposite person love his/her partner the more, usually used for someone that one wants to win his/her love but may be the person is proving difficult or may be he or she is already engaged and would not look at the person eyeing her or him, when that concortion is added the person starts loving the person greatly)...as she starts eating with her love...

Good morning my people, hope your night was great, i wish you all happy weekend. As we are going out today may we never stumble Àse. I just wish to share one film with you, it was 9days today that something happened in my office street in ikorodu here, as i used to say that no matter whom we are, we are nothing before Almighty God, no matter power you have or be a chronic witch, either you are a ifá priest that knows present and future or you possessed extra ordinary power because you are “aroni” you are nothing but pencil before Eledumare.
Am using this moment to implore you all to be submissive to the path of Eledumare, be olorisa or ologboni if you refuse to follow the part of God Almighty you will fall without rising again in life.
My speech goes thus, in the last week friday morning as i parked my car in my street i saw a red charmed cloth that was burnt on the road but that cloth didn’t burnt finish, I called one of my boy in the street that what happened here this morning, he told me that when they wanted to go and pray in the mosque this morning, they saw one woman that wore charmed cloth crawling into the mosque, and they were very scared, he said they called one of the opc guy in the street and the guy came with gun, they asked what was problem with the woman but she couldn’t say anything, he said she was just acting as if she has lost her memory, he said they told her to remove her charmed cloth and she did, they put petrol to the cloth and burn it, but within some minutes they didn’t see the woman again, they didn’t knew how she escaped from there nakedness, am the one that cleared off the remaining unburnt cloth into the gulter.
The people of the street didn’t knew what exactly the film was, but i personally knew that she was an evil witch, she has contravened to the power of God that is why she fell down, and she wanted to enter mosque in men’s praying area to hide there till she would find her way. When someone has power, he/she mustn’t misuse it. Òrúnmìlà too face many challenges by these evil people, they wanted to destroy earth but Òrúnmìlà conquered them by the word of Eledumare given to him. I will like to share this verse of holy corpus of Osalogbe(osa elesu) Hear what the corpus said: Omi réré Omi rèré It cast divined for Òrúnmìlà on his soujour to otu-ife (ile-ife), iya odogboniko pleaded to Òrúnmìlà to take her along but Òrúnmìlà refused, Òrúnmìlà said he won’t take her along because he don’t want her to disgrace him when they reach there, ìyá odogboniko started begging Òrúnmìlà that she will not misbehave, she told Òrúnmìlà to make an oath for her but Òrúnmìlà replied her that it is his taboo to make oath, ìyá odogboniko started begging Òrúnmìlà to take her along, she said she is eating mouse, fish, rat…. but it is only one thing that is her forbidden which is òbò tree, Òrúnmìlà said well, he has accepted her pleading, Òrúnmìlà took her along, when they reached otu-ife Òrúnmìlà was making sacrifice to put things that had spoilt in order, suddenly ìyá odogboniko flew out and started spoiling what Òrúnmìlà was amending, otu-ife became worst, many strange things started happening, all the habitant of otu-ife were shouting on Òrúnmìlà that he has destroy their town because he is the one that brought strange visitor there, they were molesting Òrúnmìlà to find solution to his visitor, Òrúnmìlà consulted his òkè ìpònrí, òkè ìpònrí advised him to offer sacrifice and the sacrifice should be place at the central juncture of the town and he complied, as he placed the sacrifice, Òrúnmìlà hidden somewhere, as ìyá odogboniko was coming she saw food at juncture and she started laughing, she said look at this stupid Òrúnmìlà, she said the day Òrúnmìlà offer mouse here she ate it, the day Òrúnmìlà offer fish and goat she ate it, is it this small yam that she could not eat? She took the yam on the floor and she started eating it, when she cut the yam in third time she just swallowed it not knowing that there is akose bone inside it, the bone hang on his throat she couldn’t swallow it, èsù òdàrà appeared to her he told her to drink the water that is inside the calabash beside where she took yam and she carried the water, when she drink it immediately she started rolling and vomiting, Òrúnmìlà came out from where he hides, he started singing the song of ifá to her that: She is defecating She is vomiting Odogboniko nobody knows when she will die Odogboniko Let the husband be pregnant and the wife too omi rere kenge We shall know who will firstly give birth Omi rere kenge Atetebi mukutina Omi rere kenge It is today that òbò will kill the witch Surely it is today that òbò will kill the witch That is how the iya olodogboniko fell down and died, the habitant of otu-ife started dancing and rejoicing praising ifá while ifá was praising Eledumare . Here are the tips to take note of from this verse : 1. Don’t make an oath with any woman 2. Don’t marry fair complexion woman 3. Don’t eat roasted yam because of back pain 4. Don’t misuse power or high post that you might hold 5. Fear God almighty in all your doing.
I offered this sacrifice for one woman at Ayetoro Ayobo in the year 2013, this woman placed the sacrifice at three junction in front of her house, in a just few minute the person that was fighting the woman carried the yam and akose water to his house and he ate it and drank the water , on the second day he was rushed to one celestial church but they told his wife to take him to his native town, in the 3rd day heaven received visitor. God almighty is the controller of everything, no power can overcome his words “ifá ” Please let us be very careful. My people, I pray this morning that may we not contravene the word of Eledumare, any evil that plan to destroy our lives will fall down and die instantly, may God almighty never allow darkness to prevail our lives today Àse.

INVESTMENT AS RELATED TO RELATIONSHIP Relationship either love or not is a form of investment which also involves risks, gains etc. I howeva want to equate my write-up with love (family) relationship. (I) RISKS The risks being taking in relationship are: a) Opportunity cost risks: This happens when one leaves what one is doing to attend to one's partner, this happens when one creates time out of ostentatiously obvious paucity of time to attend to one's partner. Love relationship thrives, grows thru communication, but when the communication is down, things began to happen like a flood, just as the Yoruba adage, which says, "bi ogiri ko lanu alangba ko le ri aye wọle" (meaning if there is no crack in a wall, lizards cannot enter/penetrate into the wall). When communication gap brews, it is clear that d relationship will have some hiccups, difficulties & sometimes its ship may hit the rocks and become scattered. To avoid this, spouses must ensure that they create time for their spouses, particularly those whose jobs do not give them time, those who are not living at the same Island, because Academics, Technology etc has so make such high today. The onus is on such people to create time and times to answer their spouses calls. Interestingly many of the nation's network have provisions for that, special provisions whereby spouses can call each other at lower tarrifs for a whole month, I think such should be subscribed to and used adequately. (b) RISK OF LOSS If someone is just entering into a relationship with a relatively unknown person, these are part of the loss envisaged: 1) The person has to close his/her eyes to others outside irrespective of how appealing, how beautiful, how handsome, how educated etc the person is after agreeing/solidifying the proposal. This means the person will lose those people so as to be focused to apply his/her totallity to the person, 2) Lossing one's denomination, particularly ladies if her partner is not attending the same fellowship as she does, 3) Lossing one's Religion: In some instances when an idol worshiper repents and marries a believer, she has to lose that religion for the new one eg. Ruth (see book of Ruth), 4) Lose one's ego: Both persons cannot be leaders in the house, one, and according to bible the lady, must give the leadership to the male(man)...because the bible says, "for the husband is the head of the wife" (Eph 5:23a). In the head (cranium) lies the cerebral cortexes and cerebellum according to biologists and scientists. For simplicity sake, it is in the head that one thinks, it is by thinking that one makes advancements in life...,it is thinking that differentiates humans from animals..., it is thinking that makes humans superior and animals inferior.... This therefore suggests that, a man that a lady during dating (courtship) cannot willingly relinquish the headship position to, a man that a lady cannot listen to...the lady should reconsider her stance in such relationship because when they begin to live together and the distance is bridged, there will be serial corrections from each other...Now a person whom you dont yield to his correction while dating, how would you yield to him when living together? Oh! You wanna say, God will do it. Let God do the changes, let God make the corrections now that you lived apart. However, this does not connote that men are usually 100% right in all decisions, Nope ma, not at all. But this means that the head will also fine tune the ladies or women's suggestions...In other words, men's ego will also go here, when the man sees that his partner's counsel betters his' he will support it, but not suppress it. (Consider Prophet Moses' suggestion to God when God wanted to wipe out Israelites for their error in the wilderness (Ex 32)) 5) Even though richer, wealthier than your husband or fiancé, despite the fact that you are more educated than he does, irrepective of the fact that you are older than him (bc in some instances such happen), you as a lady or wife must not use that to oppress and or suppress him. I have once wrote a story on this channel about a woman who was wealthier and more connected by all standards than her hubby sometimes back. But, despite that, she became submissive to him.... She told my father's friend one day that irrespective of the fact that she was the one practically providing for the houses's daily needs then, she will still ask from him what he has to support he with. She said, even if he gave her ₦10:00 (ten naira) then, she will joyously receive it, and by that she was sure that she has received his blessings in whatever she wanted to do.... I heard that the man is now very rich perhaps richer than his wife... Thus, assuming you as a woman, are the one providing for all of house's needs today, you must still put that under your love, spouse and hubby, 6) Lossing one's friends: Some friends you will let go for the sake of your relationship and home, 7) Some ambitions may be shelved to ensure that your relationship/hom grows....Many people aspire to be governors, Senators, Minister of the Republic etc, infact many of our parents prayers, Pastors prayers etc are orchestrated toward this. But, when you as a person sees that such ambition may not assist your relationship/home, you have to forgo it...This is because before God home is superior to external or outside praises. Take as instance, Abraham sent away Ishmael bc of Sarah his half sister and sweet heart. Thus, all aspirations, plans he had for Ishmael was truncated for the sake of sustaining his home. 8) etc. Therefore, b4 you go to the altar with that man, can you flaunt him before your friends, relatives etc as your head and love? If you cannot, you may put on hold going to the altar with him until u sure can. Again, as a man, aint you pessimist about that sister bc she is a doctorate degree holder while you are a JSS 3 holder? She is a lecturer in a University earning 100,000 multiplied by your monthly income...but, because a prophet or whatever has said you are meant for each other, you are struggling to continue the relationship...Until you totally deliver yourself from that pessimism and inferiority complexes, things may not augur well for you. Or as a man, maybe you are a graduate and into a courtship with Primary Six certicate holder, can you expressly and joyously show her as your wife to be (fianceé) to friends/relatives? Were you to become a Permanent Secretary or Vice-Chancellor or whatever, will you not take another wife? If you are sure to dump her when tides of things positively change for you, and you become someone important in life, it is better you part ways with her now so that she finds someone of her "cadre". Elders sometimes make us to believe that love, yea, marriage transcends certificate, but it must come from individual's mind, it is your decision to decide whether or nay to love him or her till death separated you the duo... So, you have to think about this, ii) GAINS There are gains in investments, ditto for love relationships, some of which are: 1) Sexual satisfaction (I Cor. 7). It is essentially essential that couples, partners do not deny themselves when they have been coupled together...particularly after the payment of the bride price...and in some instances as the bride's family approves... This is because, some Parents having discovered that their daughter has come of age and the person she is dating is yet to be financially bouyant to meet with the obligations of the payment of the bride price, they gave them their blessings hopefully praying that they be blessed to fulfill such rites later in life... After these, it is quintessential that such do not deny, deprive themselves of such private communion any longer. The man can be moved, the lady can be moved, both can be moved together, but it is pivotal that they do not run away from this act. My mentor, late Pastor E. S. Adegunle, once told me a story of an incident that happened when he pastors a church in Ilorin. He said the woman was denying the man the access to her, putting up so many filmsy excuses. Both of them were suppossedly saved. After serial complains with the wife unyielding, the man had to find alternative route to satisfying this desire.... After he had satisfied himself, the woman now accepts him to enter her quandrangle. After the entrance, the wife discovered that she has contacted sexually transmitted diseases (STD). How could this be, because I know no man apart from my love? The woman asked. So the case was brought to their pastor (my mentor). And on interogation, the man confessed to Pastor that when his wife repeatedly denied him access, he had to access the assessible else where and it was from there he contacted the infirmity which was transfered to his wife... When you are married, this is one of the thing you must ensure that you do not deny your partner, it is his (or her) right. It is one It is one of the gains of the mutual agreement of yesteryears...sexual satisfaction. 2) COMPANIONSHIP: Anyone who has not expereinced being single one, should travel alone to some region where his/her language is neither heard nor understand. Thank gracious, this republic is full of such localities, as such you do not need to think of travelling out/getting visa/getting international Passports. Or you may relocate to a region that you have no person there and have a bite of what and how it feels to be without a companion. Love relationship provides a sure companionship for those who do not have one. Yoruba people used to say "ko si meji ẹnikan" (meaning a person cannot be two) in other words, a person cannot perform the role of two persons irrespective of how powerful the person is spiritually and or physically. 3) CONTINUATION OF GENE OR SEED: This happens when the person gives birth to babies, the gene continues, 4) GROWTH: It could be academic, financial, sports, business etc. All these will happen when the person marries the right person, the growth will occur in an astrological manner, like cellular division that occurs every hour, (this is what makes some viral infections dangerous because the rate of their multiplicity is extremely high). Such is what happens to such relationship. It isnt as if they wouldnt encounter some problems, but they sure will overcome those problems with ease when they are in accord, in synchronicity....The bible says one will chase a thousand and two chase hundreds of thousands, 5) RESPECT AND HONOUR: The erstwhile nay respected nor honoured person but who was being disdained, ridiculed and mocked will be respected and honoured by people when she or he gets a known love bird. (See my short story on FRIENDS AND CLOSER FRIEND). The abinitio brother who was not well addressed by a lady was being addressed well when his fianceé told everyone who cares to know that she was for him and he was for her. Ditto for the lady too, no-one no one could just address her anyhow again, because now people know there is tail/chain attached to her body... 6) SAFETY: i) In much counselling there is safety (Pro 11:14; 24:6). When a lady marries someone she can see as her head indeed, and with good counsellings after deliberations, there will be safety, what may bring problem will be averted by good counselling. This is also applicable to husbdands. Counsellings will solve some things that some prophecies may not solve. Some prophecies will not work when someone lacks a good counsellor and counselling, ii) Prayers also bring safety, iii) Money also brings safety...but Prayer is superior to money because where monies cannot penetrate, prayers would penetrate, on some matters or cases, money will not work, but prayers will... Prayer lives forever. iv) Academic Certificates also brings safety, particularly in our Present day Republic and perhaps globally. My father's friend, Alhaji Sheu said, certificates were not as important as this during their days, else they would have also struggled to possess one at all cost. Our Republic changed suddenly and everybody now values certificates, that is why there are so many false certificates, that is why our Republic is on the downward trend bc people ensure that either genuinely or by counterfeit they possess a certificate. And everyone can see how so many certificate holders have ship-wrecked the econemy of some states and the country in general. Certificates bring safety because the Salaries earn by them, the opportunities that Present itself to them, hardly could someone who have been trading for thirty or forty years equal such feat a certificate holder would possess a singular year after securing a government job. This is why people do not wish to think about self establishment. All these entreprenuership of a thing by many Universities would be tantamount to nothing later because when such people see that their peers are exceeding them in wealth, they will als They will also prefer to wait at home until such good tidings come along their paths. No one wants to suffer, greater percentage of women do not like a struggling person... And even if some women will want to endure, when they started to give birth to children, and financial challenges surfaced, another song will be sang by those people, v) Children also bring safety (Ps. 127: 4-5) vi) etc. 7) Propagating the Gospel becomes easy, particularly at this end of the globe where marriage is highly valued, 8) Attaining and or ascending to the throne (physical or spiritual) becomes easier... as it is said, "apọnle kò si fun ọba ti kò ni olori" (there is no respect for a king who has no wife (queen)", 9) Becoming a good judge or a good decision maker. This happens because it is by judgment (decision) that one's home becomes established, therefore applying that to the outside world wouldnt be much difficult 10) Etc. Lakotan ara, Apostle Paul talks about being single (I Cor 7:7)...so if you feel you want to remain single, you can continue. Continuing as thus, you must be ready to weather so many torrents of questionings in this Region of the Republic. However, in case you cannot remain single, prayerfully look for a partner, and I know God will give you one...and when you get one, please be ready to pay those prices, be ready for the risks. Thank you. God bless. Alafia! Shalom! Peace!
