        𝙞𝙣𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙢 𝙡𝙞𝙫𝙚.  𝙖  𝙣𝙖𝙧𝙘𝙞𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙨𝙩’𝙨  𝙫𝙞𝙘𝙚.   reggie’s  place  to  resort  when  boredom  struck  in  a  palace  too  often  empty.  parents  on a  business trip   (   as  always  )  out  living  lavishly  in  the  private  jet  instead  of  spending  time  with  their  own  son.  pity.  social  media  interested  the  mantle  prince  more  anyway,  an easy avenue for attention when he didn’t feel like asking for it.  a  platform where he got to talk aimlessly about his favorite thing:  HIMSELF.  and yeah, the fans too. his following was nothing to sneeze at,  himself ever  the  influencer in some sense on all platforms, but it wasn’t like people didn’t have anything better to do.  he opens the stream and waits for his audience to pour in, before taking questions.

      gaze  squints  at  the  small,  fast-paced  print that pops up in the comments,  asking  him  random questions until  a classmate  brings  up  what  should be a harmless game.     SMASH  OR  PASS:  RIVERDALE  HIGH EDITION.       it’s  extremely effective in garnering his attention.   ❝    𝙨𝙢𝙖𝙨𝙝 𝙤𝙧 𝙥𝙖𝙨𝙨 ?  𝙖𝙡𝙧𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩, 𝙛𝙞𝙣𝙚.     since  you  vultures  are dying to know who mantle the magnificent   would  spend  a  night  with  ...  shoot.  i’ll answer.   ❞    the comments start pouring in, from those with personal investment to those with genuine curiosity. some people submitting themselves, others curious about recent gossip that’d been floating around. the interest is overwhelming but more ... ego - boosting  if he was being honest.  who knew so many people wanted to know what criteria there was for getting in his smoking hot pants.  may as well give the people what they want:

         a  sigh,  giving  an  ‘oh  well’  look  to  the  camera,  before  getting  back  on  it:     ❝   giving  the people  what  they  want  i  guess   ...  alright  ...     NANCY  DREW.    ha.  i  think  little  ms.   detective   already  knows  the  answer  to  that  one.  smash      ...       CONNOR  MURPHY.   eugh.  i  guess if  i had a gun to my head.  smash     ...      COURTNEY  CALLAHAN.   duh,   smash.  like  you  wouldn’t  go  for  the  queen  of  reality  tv    ....   HERMIONE  GRANGER  ...    yeah,  i’d say smash.  i  bet  she’s  got  a  dark  side  to her   ...   SWEET  PEA?   sure,  smash.   i  can  be  into  wannabe  greasers  ...     KEVIN  KELLER.   he’s  got  that  innocent-good-boy-next-door-waiting-to-be-ruined  look  so.  yeah,  smash  i  guess   ...     ZOE  MURPHY.   who  ...   ohhhhh   yeah,  right              new  girl.  definitely  smash.  i  should  text  her   ...     aaaand    DELPHI  RENEE.   pass.   kidding ——  that  girl’s  got  an  ass  that  won’t  quit.    might  be  kinda  hard  with  that  stick  up there  but.  smash.  ❞    

           a  pause,  eyes  squinting  harder  than  they  already  have,  keeping  up  with  constant  messages  in  the  chat.   attempting to read them before they disappear.  only  to  realize  that   the  comment  section  has  turned  against  him.   horndog.  pig.   player.   the  candidates  in  question  had  joined  the  stream,  and  boy  did  they  have  some  choice  words:   ❝    hey          !  you  guys  asked,  alright,  not  my  fault  you  all  happened  to  list  the  only  fuckable  people  in  riverdale   ...   the  people  wanted  to  know,  who  am  i  to  deny  them  ...    ❞

Mars is point blank, she shoots straight for it when she looks to the other girl across from her. Leaning back against the exterior of the cabin, she’s smoking a cigarette, her blonde hair tucked up and back from behind her ears. Out of all of them, Zoe’s always been the sweetest... the one that Marlene hangs out with the MOST FREQUENTLY, aside from Marcus when they’re not off getting high after tests (never before), and for that reason, she can’t help but feel that protective little twinge within her chest, knowing how barbed Lydia and Harleen’s words could be at times.

For whatever reason, they see the virginal girl as a symbol of all the things wrong with high school life. As someone who hasn’t lived up to her TRUE POTENTIAL, whatever that meant. Exhaling a stream of smoke, her back slides against the wood, squatting lower so that she can make out an angle of the moon, dreamy and lovely from where she’s at -- but so full that it makes the whole place feel lit from within. Spooky. “And how’s your room? I swear to god, mine’s totally freezing.”

   Guilty. If there’s one word for how Evan feels right now, it’s GUILTY. Feeling like a huge ball of anxiety wrapped up into a pathetic excuse for a human being is pretty much his constant state at this point, but this is just about ten times worse. He’s LYING to the Murphy’s, he’s lying to Zoe, Zoe who he’s thought about over and over in his head, Zoe who he never thought he’d actually have the courage to talk to because his hands were too sweaty and he always stumbled over his words, Zoe who makes him want to be brave. This is what he’s wanted...but he got it through a LIE. 

       And he can’t stop. 

  “So I started to set up a website...for the-- uh, for the Connor Project.” Evan chews the inside of his cheek, unsure how ELSE to start the conversation. He’s standing in Zoe’s room. “People are-- people are already checking it out, actually-”

      It took Hank a moment to register the approaching footsteps, head lifting up with a jerk when Sumo let out an excited boof and went bounding. Before he could really raise his voice to call the dog back, the lieutenant felt himself sobering up very fast. There was something about young Zoe’s expression that felt like a haunting reflection, Hank’s body stiffening up a bit as he leaned forward. He watched as the large St. Bernard attempted to lean his entire weight into her, waving off the quiet dejected words with a shake of his head. 

      “ Pfft. You know damn well you’re always welcome here. Who else would Sumo slobber on in his excitement? The novelty of ruining my pants wore off years ago for him, ” came the gruff voice as he took a final swig from his bottle, placing it on the porch next to where he perched on the ledge. Arms folding over his lap, Hank leaned forward as casually as he could as he looked her over - subtly trying to pin point if the reason behind that expression were physical - before patting the faded wood next to him with a dull slap. 

      “ Pop a squat, kiddo. I don’t have anything to drink besides water at the moment, ” he began, words stilted as he tried to force a slight smile. Even as his chest bundled up tighter with a sense of protective worry. “ But if you need it, it’s there. Could also order some greasy pizza… No offense. You look like you might need it. It is the best comfort food out there. ”

okay y’all know it wouldn’t be my blog if i didn’t post SOMETHING stupid and sappy for the new year, so here goes. 2019 was…A Year. i’m actually losing my mind over how the decade is ending, and i’m really happy i get to end it with you guys. i’ve been writing peter on here for exactly 605 days, which is?? not as long as some people but it’s INSANE for me, that’s over a year and a half of writing and sharing my ideas, being apart of a community that’s been?? so ridiculously supportive of me i can’t get over it, seriously that means so much to me. especially with far from home’s release this year i know i went INSANE on this blog, but it’s really made me so happy, being able to write peter and the friends i’ve made on here mean so much to me. i miss the people that i haven’t talked to since last year, but i’m really happy that i’ve stayed knowing so many of you, and met a bunch of new amazing people. thank you all for an amazing year.

with that said i do wanna jump on the bandwagon of mentioning a few people that mean SO much to me cause you guys have just?? made my year absolutely amazing. i’m sorry in advance for the people i forget because i do follow SO many of you, but everyone seeing this is absolutely included cause like?? i love you all <33
