did i tell yall yesterday in my 21st century american writers class I was talking with the other english majors after class abt the reading (because we are losers!!!!!) and was explaining my thoughts on the book's relationship to multiciplicity and time and accepting contradicting realities as simultaneously at odds and equally true and one of them turned to me and went. #shes not Wrong but it rly tickled me bc it felt so like. okay call me out then!#also in the same class i noted how the phrasing of the opening line created distance that was at odds with the immediacy of the present #tense and my professor went. okay virginia woolf! (for context she was my prof for my capstone last semester on the waves lol).#the assigned reading was the body artist btw. fantastic novel rly rly rly good. hence why all the eng majors were so excited lmao
