I was just witness to a bunch of people complaining about 'straight girls fetishising gay men' and, uh, 'yaoi hands' on the internet. I am so tempted to write a long piece about the history of the shoujo genre and how it has always had a queer subculture to it (not just gay but also lesbian stories and stories of gender identity playing a part; see authors like Yoshiya Nobuko and mangaka like Ikeda Riyoko and their works, for example) and how that has led to the BL genre having shoujo influence due to its origins, and how that influence has continued as BL has spread across East Asia...

But I do not have the energy for that, and quite frankly I doubt many people would read it. You know what I will share instead? Some extremely heterosexual yaoi hands.

(Shinjou Mayu is a long-time mangaka whose works have featured in Sho Comi; she specialises in smutty het manga for teenage girls which are well-drawn and sexy but not necessarily very well-written. 'Yaoi' hands feature very prominently in her work because...that was just a feature of shoujo manga for older teens at the time! When I was first told by a friend what 'yaoi hands' means, I started laughing my head off. Tell me you don't read shoujo manga without saying it, huh?)

That I’ve played... Uh... The only thing that actually comes to mind at the moment is Zodiac:Axis, though this is based solely on the demo. I’m hoping that when the full game comes out I can reevaluate my opinion. 

If you’re wondering why: it’s the writing. The game seems like it’s going to be amazing in every other aspect- like the GUI. omg. it’s amazing.

Rune’s route in Frozen Essence. I actually got so upset that I ragequit the game over it. I’m pretty sure I cried during Shiraishi’s route in Colllar x Malice as well. Oh, yes V’s route in Mystic Messenger, but that had nothing to do with V.

La storia dell’anime ruota attorno a degli adolescenti, membri di una squadra di soft tennis che è sul punto di essere sciolta. Touma Shinjou chiede a Maki Katsuragi di unirsi alla squadra viste le sue decantate abilità, menzionando una competizione estiva. Di rimando, Katsuragi chiede del denaro per entrare a far parte della squadra.

I finally received my copy of the Silent Möbius 35th Anniversary Tribute Book that Asamiya sold at Comiket in December and I can safely say that if you're a fan of the series you'll find something to enjoy in this doujinshi.

The book is presented in full colour and features contributions from a variety of people, ranging from Asamiya's friends to contributors to past incarnations of the Silent Möbius series. One thing I quite liked about the written pieces was that they were accompanied by relevant artwork, so if the writer worked on a drama CD then Asamiya's cover art from the CD is featured in the background.

It's nice to have a consistent theme for written work in a book that primarily features vibrant artwork, it helps you to appreciate the context of the written pieces. (Though it looks like there was an issue with replicating the 'ö' in C.B. Cebluski's piece so every time he mentions Silent Möbius it appears as Silent M?bius. Honestly quite amusing.)

In terms of artwork you will absolutely find something you like in here, there are so many different artwork styles represented there's bound to be a favourite or two for most folks. My favourite pieces (in addition to Kotobuki Tsukasa's stunning Kiddy picture) were the new Yuki illustration by Kagawa Hisashi, Shinjou Mayu's gorgeous Katsumi artwork and this absolutely incredible piece from Sakata Osamu featuring Ralph and Tooru:
