I've scanned almost 300 images in the last 24 hours despite my high pain levels, my lack of a desk, and a cat whose primary hobby is biting inanimate objects.
😭😭😭 I'm so proud of myself.

I'm happy to announce No More Mermaids is officially back in print! These new priced-down editions are a smaller "manga" size. You can order them through Partners and Son. I'm still working out a few things with volume 3 -- hopefully I'll have them printed by June or July.
BTW - You can also still read a censored online version on Tapas.

Do you have pictures of your manga/magazine collection? You must have a lot!
Hi! Yeah I'd say my collection is a decent size, but it's not very impressive to look at.
My magazines are just in magazine holders, my furoku is in boxes (to keep light and moisture out), and my shelves are packed to the brim & in no way aesthetically pleasing. Plus a lot of my older manga and doujinshi are in storage.
I think if I showed my full setup it would be pretty disappointing, honestly. Here's a random snap of a couple of shelves as an example (did absolutely no setup for this and lighting is terrible but eh whatever).
My dream is to have a place of my own and enough room to have things placed in an accessible and ordered manner. Which isn't to say I'm messy or disordered now, but room to display things properly isn't easy to come by when you're poor and renting. I'm sure I'm not alone in this frustration :(

omg I was rewatching Papiri Komei with my friends since it was my turn to pick the show, and I totally forgot that I literally had this exact manga adaptation of Sangokushi as a kid, too! What a throwback to a classic adaptation.
First of all, perfect viewing selection no notes. 😘👌
It's funny you should mention the Yokoyama manga, in one of the interviews promoting the drama Mukai Osamu said basically the same thing! Initially he wasn't hugely familiar with his character outside of reading the classic Sangokushi manga as a child and watching the Red Cliff film as an adult.
Even if you're not into history, it's the type of comic you're bound to read at some point. So much compelling drama and action, truly an iconic adaptation.
Meanwhile my tainted brain never forgets that Ikkitousen adapts the same characters too...
Koumei whyyyyy 😭

I just want to take the time to say thank you to everyone who follows this blog and enjoys the scans I post. They're not the best, my posting is sporadic, and I have a lot of things I'd like to share that I still haven't gotten around to loading. Unfortunately between my illness and work, I tend to be limited in the amount of content I can upload and for that I am sorry.
This blog is my way of showing love for (generally) more obscure anime and shoujo manga titles that still linger in my heart after years of fandom. If I had the capacity for meta, fanwork, or translations I'd be sharing those with you as a way of shouting my love for these series from the rooftops.
Since I don't have the talent to do any of those things, I've settled on sharing what I've collected over the last couple of decades. I still love these series (including the not-so-good ones) and it means a lot to me to know that I'm not alone in loving them all these years after they were first released.
A lot has been happening IRL these past few weeks that has left me feeling a bit flat about everything. When I look at what I post on this blog I end up feeling frustrated that I can't do more or be better at this very basic thing I do. But in coming to terms with my IRL limits I'm starting to accept that being a perfectionist with my silly little scanning hobby isn't helping anything.
So, I'm going to keep posting what I can, when I can. And I'll just have fun with all of you lovely people who take the time to interact with me on here. Thanks for the support.
