“Lovers Forever”, co-written by Cher and Shirley Eikhard, was originally intended to be in the Anne Rice film-adaptation of “Interview With A Vampire”, featuring Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise and Christian Slater.
The song was cut and shelved - to be reborn as a EDM-club anthem on 2013’s “Closer to the Truth”. This ballad version reimagines what the original song could have sounded like, based on an early instrumental/demo by Eikhard.

In Memoriam: Shirley Eikhard (1955 - 2022)
In Memoriam: Shirley Eikhard (1955 – 2022)
Shirley Rose Eikhard (November 7, 1955 – December 15, 2022) was a Canadian singer-songwriter. Although moderately successful in Canada as a performer in her own right, she had her greatest Canadian and international success as a songwriter for other artists, most notably as the writer of Bonnie Raitt’s 1991 hit “Something to Talk About”. All the actors playing vampires were required to hang upside down for up to thirty minutes at a time during make-up. This would force all the blood in their bodies to rush to their heads, causing the blood vessels in their faces to bulge. The make-up artists would then trace over the swollen veins, creating the eerie, translucent-skinned look. Unfortunately for the actors, they would have to repeat the process several times over, as the blood would quickly drain from their heads. This, in part, accounts for the lengthy make-up process.
Tom Cruise was placed on an elevated platform during some scenes to reduce the height difference between his character and other vampires.
Tom Cruise prepped for the role of Lestat by watching videos of lions attacking zebras in the wild.
During filming, tensions developed between Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt over the latter's alleged poor personal hygiene. According to Cruise, his co-star didn't use any deodorant and the resulting body odor became noticeable.
Due to Anne Rice's fear that her novel was not being adapted because Lestat and Louis could be perceived as homosexuals, at one point, she rewrote Louis as a woman, considering Cher for the role. While, eventually, the role went back to being male, Cher, along with Shirley Eikhard, wrote a song for the movie's soundtrack called "Lovers Forever", that was rejected by producers but eventually released on Cher's 2013 album, "Closer to the Truth".
Due to not getting along during filming, Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt refused to work with each other ever again.
The things that you read on IMDB trivia page for Interview with the Vampire 1994. Lololololol. And these are just a few of the fun facts.

Something to Talk About
youtube
People are talking, talking 'bout people
I hear them whisper, you won't believe it
They think we're lovers kept under cover
I'll just ignore it, but they keep saying
We laugh just a little too loud
Stand just a little too close
We stare just a little too long
Maybe they're seeing something we don't, darlin'
.
Let's give 'em something to talk about
Let's give 'em something to talk about
Let's give 'em something to talk about
How about love?
.
I feel so foolish, I never noticed
You'd act so nervous
Could you be falling for me?
It took a rumor to make me wonder
Now I'm convinced I'm going under
Thinking 'bout you everyday
Dreaming 'bout you every night
I'm hoping that you feel the same way
Now that we know it, let's really show it, darlin'
.
Let's give 'em something to talk about
A little mystery to figure out, babe
Let's give 'em something to talk about
How about love, love, love?
.
Let's give 'em something to talk about, babe
A little mystery to figure out
Let's give 'em something to talk about
How about love?
.
Ooh, listen up, baby
A little mystery won't hurt
Let's give 'em something to talk about
How about our love, love, love, love?
.
How about love, love, love?
