"Woo! I'm feeling hype tonight! What about you, trainer? This is your fourth Gym challenge, right? The name's Gina, and I use brilliantly flashy electric-type Pokemon! They're the only type able to keep up with my energy levels on the dance floor! Think you can keep up with us?"
Here's Pokemon Circuit's fourth Gym Leader! Partly a reference to a local soda, partly just a fun design that kept popping in my head hehe.
In Circuit Version's Corwains Gym, you'll face off against the electric-type specialist Gina. A party girl who had the business savvy to be given the role of Sitrupep Ale's newest CEO, Gina's got the smarts for both sales and battling. And thankfully she's able to still be herself in the process, as the gym is a dance club in the basement of the Sitrupep headquarters. You're going to have to make a path to get to Gina though, and to do that you'll have to navigate through the club to find switches that will move floor tiles, eventually leading her to the part of the club where she waits. (and also if this were an actual game, there would be a guy outside of the gym door who asks whether or not you're sensitive to flashing lights, and your answer would change the intensity of the neon club lights or remove them entirely, accessibility ftw)
You might have a bit of an advantage if you have Kinedle or nearly any ground-type. Her level 31 Flaaffy will probably go down easy to a ground-type, as well as her level 35 Magneton. It's when you get to her level 35 Shohoga that she'll join for a Union Battle where that ground-type won't be quite as useful, especially if it's a Beckhound or also part rock, as its secondary grass type will lead to it learning moves that will probably wipe those out. After you become the champion, you can rematch Gina with her full team of Jolteon, Ampharos, Magnezone, Bulkat, Kantonian Raichu, and Shohoga. And yeah, specifying the Raichu because both Kantonian and Alolan variants are here, hehe.

Shohoga - Ginger Mouse Pokemon The ginger sprouting from its cheeks and tail help give this Pokemon energy when times are tough. It grows best during periods of abundant resource availability. / Shohoga’s ginger growths are packed full of energy, which it will gladly share with others whenever possible. Humans have been caring for Shohoga for centuries for both the ginger and their companionship.
More Cantessy with the regional Pikachu knockoff! Every region has its own alt Pikachu, it's tradition at this point. Shohoga's an electric/grass lil friend based on a meadow jumping mouse but with a peculiar twist: ginger. It's covered in ginger, just because :3 Okay, well not just because, it was partially inspired by a regional ginger ale drink. And yeah, one could probably argue that said drink is more citrusy than gingery and a citrus-themed Pokemon would make more sense for the reference alongside the trend of citrus battery science projects, but 1) I don't think we have a good climate for citrus, and 2) I literally just checked a bottle that Dad has in the fridge and ginger is listed in the ingredients list BEFORE citric acid so HA! Still ginger! >:3c
Also if anyone wants to suggest moves for this guy to learn and stat distribution and such, feel free to throw ‘em at me :3 A link to their profile page will be provided in the replies!

Gina Alma
The new owner of Sitrupep Ale, Gina is just as energetic as the slogan of her soda would suggest. She’s lively and peppy, always up for a good time with friends and maybe a Pokémon battle as well! The soda’s main investors were worried about the previous owners bequeathing the company to someone who hasn’t even graduated college yet, but Gina is proving herself to be quite the savvy businesswoman despite her relative inexperience. She’s even managed to make a pretty strong business partnership with the owner of a well-known chicken restaurant, something her precursors never managed to do. It’s safe to say Gina’s electric energy and soda smarts are going to keep things going very strong for years to come.

More Cantessy gym leaders, here’s Gina! Her inspiration was much closer to home than pretty much everything else in this series aside from the starting town. There’s a citrus-ginger soda that’s made in my home town called Ale8, or Ale8 One if you’re working at the trademark office or want the “a late one” pun to work, and it’s pretty popular here and in the surrounding areas. I don’t know why, because imo it tastes like treash, but it is. So I wanted to throw a nod to that anyway. Gina herself, I kept getting a vibe of like a party girl when I was brainstorming her, so I leaned into that as much as I could without going too crazy. Was originally gonna give her an afro puff ponytail, because I’ve been watching a Xenoblade 2 playthrough and had Electra’s frizzy pigtails on the brain, but 1) I have another character coming who would make more sense to give a puff hairstyle given the type she specializes in (ice, it’d look like a snow poff :D ) and 2) dreads could resemble wires and that works SO well with an electric specialist! And I think I might’ve gone overboard with the dye job, but I think it looks cool :D
Gina’s version of the Corwains gym is themed around electric types and dance clubs (because I felt using Gina’s personal interests would work better for an electric gym than her career), and the challenge to get to battling Gina would involve...I’unno, switches activating dance floors or something? And that lights up the path to her? I’unno, I gotta figure some more things out hehe. Her initial team consists of a Flaaffy, a Magneton, and a Shohoga, the Cantessian regional Pikachu clone that’s part grass type and grows ginger on its body.
