McQueen teamed up with Nick Knight’s SHOWstudio to broadcast the runway live over the internet (first time ever of a live-streaming fashion show). But the unexpected happened: just before showtime, Lady Gaga tweeted out the link to the stream to her millions of followers, revealing that her new single “Bad Romance” was to premiere on the runway. Sus editoriales se han publicado en Vogue, Dazed & Confused, W Magazine o i-D. Ha elaborado campañas de publicidad para Alexander McQueen, Christian Dior, Calvin Klein, Yves Saint Laurent o Yohji Yamamoto. Su trabajo se ha exhibido en el Victoria & Albert Museum o en la Tate Modern. Nick Knight (showstudio_nick_knight) pasará a la historia de la fotografía de moda como uno de los profesionales que fue capaz de modificar las nociones de belleza tradicionales.

Este fotógrafo me llamó la atención por lo bien planeadas que son sus fotografías. Por las sombras tan fuertes que observe en sus fotografías. Para este proyecto estudie mucho a Knight. Las modelos que usa, las poses y ademas la vestimenta de las modelos siempre son un extravagantes y usan mucho su cuerpo para dar formas interesantes. 

Algo que tengo en común con Knight es el gusto por las flores. Tienen colores tan únicos y formas interesantes. Para encontrar un poco de inspiración fui al Jardín botánico de Quito con mi pareja, donde encontré formas y colores demasiado interesantes. Y quise hacer algo con flores y formas y así poder plasmar mi fotógrafo en mi trabajo final.  

La sesión que tenía pensado hacer era en el jardín botánico, creía que me iba a brindar un buen fondo para mis fotos, pero fue mucho mas difícil de lo que pensé. Primero era pedir un permiso ahí, llevar a mi modelo y su ropa. Luego el maquillaje y el cambio de vestuario. Todo era muy complicado y tuve que replantear el lugar y como iban a ser las fotos.
