"You never do." Sigyn laughed a little, her elbow now leaning on the bartop as she bit down on a manicured thumb nail -- crystal blue eyes watching him closely. She'd hold his gaze, it wasn't unheard of for her to stare at him a little too long, look into his eyes a bit too intimately. Getting lost in him was so easy, and it always had been. Her smile continued to linger, the words tumbling from her lips before she could stop herself. "I don't need an excuse for that, I could just ask you to take off your shirt and pants if I really only wanted to see you half naked." She didn't know where she'd gotten the courage to openly flirt with him, even this briefly, but there it was. "Ooo, violent," she teased, following it with a little smile before she winked at him. Her arm moved off the bartop to instead reach for his knee to tap at him a little. "Good, then it's a date. Or.. whatever."

axel caught the peanuts she tossed at him with ease, popping one into his mouth as he gave her a look - one of those half-smirks that was equal parts amused and a fake look of shock "I get it, I don't always have the best taste in who I date," he admitted, his gaze hanging on hers a bit too long to be platonic. axel was sure if it was sigyn he was dating, he'd be confident in that choice. unfortunately, he doubted that feeling was mutual - so he kept quiet. "throw themselves at me," he repeated, scoffing playfully as if in disbelief. truthfully, he was mostly to himself and didn't always notice obvious signs of flirtation. at her invitation, he let out a short laugh, shaking his head playfully. "sure, but is this just an excuse to see me half-naked?" he teased with a playful wiggle of his brows before that same laugh returned, except even more melodic this time. "no, no. i will be the one that is going. you really don't need to call him unless you want him to get punched."

I just wonder if we're looking for a thing. The use of a symbol o-o-on a victim like this suggests a, a ritual murder and a cult sacrifice by a group. Buffy: A group of... human beings? Someone with a soul did this? Giles: Yes, I'm afraid so. He goes over to the bookshelves behind the table and starts his research. Buffy: Okay. Then while you're looking for the meaning of that symbol thingy, could you also find a loophole in that 'Slayers don't kill people' rule?

Sigyn just laughed. While Axel always treated her better than the men she dated, she never missed that look on his face or tone in his voice when he spoke of those men. She tried not to put too much thought into it, not like she did when he dated someone and she picked apart every bit of them, criticizing every inch of them. Her excuse was that no one was good enough for him, but deep down, she was just a little envious of the women he paid attention to. The kind of attention he didn't pay her, anyway. "No I still don't know her name. Why should I? Clearly she wasn't sticking around." Another roll of her bright blue eyes, but it was quickly followed with a grin and a toss of a few peanuts his way. "You just really don't know how to pick them, that's all. So many of them throw themselves at you, you just pick the wrong ones." She tried not to look at him when she admitted it. "Anyway. I have these passes to a new world springs thing, with pools and saunas and stuff. And they have those Finnish saunas. Do you want to go with me?" Casual question, casual occasion. At least, that's what she told herself. "You, me, a nice hot sauna." Sigyn wiggled her brows at him playfully, then smirked. "Come on, don't make me call that one ex of mine you hate. And I gotta use these today."

"not so bad," he repeated with a scoff. despite his annoyance with the other man's presence, his own face was still soft and sweet toward her. it was impossible not to be. sigyn made the stoic man feel more emotions than anyone before had even come close to - knocked down every wall in her path. a smirk formed on his face as she spit out the nuts. they truly were awful, which he found out on his last visit here. how they could continue to serve those monstrosities was a mystery to him. axel pouted at her words about settling, immediately shaking his head. "some of us should settle, sure. i just don't think you of all people should." he thought highly of her and believed that everyone should. "oh, lyndsey. yeah, no... i had to break that off quickly. the connection just wasn't there. there was attraction, but it didn't translate to good chemistry. you still don't know her name?"

"What are you talking about," she asked, eyes rolling as she leaned forward against the bar to reach for the bowl of really awful bar nuts. "He's not so bad. He's just... you know..." Sigyn shrugged her shoulder, popping a few peanuts in her mouth before she paused, made a face, and grabbed a tissue to spit them into. "Gross. Anyway. Not everyone can be like you, Axel... Some of us have to settle." She smirked at him, then smacked his arm before she picked up her beer. "What about you, are you still dating what's-her-name?" Sigyn never bothered to learn their names.
