Tumblr media
These coins were first minted in 1986, contain one troy ounce of pure. In fact, many retirement or pension funds permit American silver eagles to be held in the funds as an investment option. Lastly, American silver eagles are considered investment grade coins. As with the “junk silver coins” highlighted above, these coins contain 90% silver content. These coins are purchased by investors and collectors alike, are highly liquid, and are considered solid silver coin investments. Some of the lower mintage Morgan and Peace silver dollars can sell for hundreds, if not thousands of dollars. These coins are typically sold at a bit higher of a premium than “junk silver coins,” as they have some collectible value in addition to the silver content. Silver dollars minted from 1878 – 1921 are referred to as “Morgan” silver dollars and silver dollars produced from 1921 – 1935 are referred to as “Peace” silver dollars. silver dollars minted in 1935 or earlier. The next coins that we’ll highlight are U.S. These are also the coins of choice for survivalists or individuals that are preparing for a potential economic collapse, as the thought is that these coins will trade for essentials that you might need in a post collapse environment. These coins are also referred to as “junk silver coins,” as they’re primarily bought and sold for the silver content of the coins. You can expect to pay a premium of 3% – 5% over the melt value for 90% silver coins. There’s not only a liquid market for these coins, but they can also be purchased at reasonable prices. silver dimes, quarters and half dollars minted in 1964 or earlier. If you’re more concerned with the ability to sell your silver coins in the future, and are interested in purchasing silver coins that are highly marketable, we recommend that you consider 90% U.S. All of the above noted coins can be purchased for the melt value of the coins or lower. silver coins that can be had for a relative bargain are 35% silver war nickels, which were minted from 1942 1945 and 40% Kennedy half dollars minted from 1965 – 1970. The purity of these coins ranges from 10% – 92.5%, and as you would expect, the higher the purity, the higher the price for the coins. This primarily includes foreign silver coins minted in Great Britain, Mexico, and Canada, as these are the most common foreign silver coins available in the U.S. If you fall into the camp of wanting to acquire silver bullion at the lowest possible price without regard to your ability to resell the coins in the future, your best option are foreign silver coins and low purity U.S. Let’s start with the lowest priced coins and work up from there so that we cover our bases. Most people fit into one of the above categories. Are you acquiring silver coins with the intent of holding the coins indefinitely as a long term investment, do you plan on speculating in the silver market, with the intent of buying low and selling high, are you attempting to acquire silver coins at the lowest price possible without concern of an exit plan, do you intend to purchase silver coins with the intent of possibly having to barter in the event of an economic collapse? If you’re new to buying silver coins, we recommend that you need this post before you move forward with your first purchase, as there are a number of factors that should be taken into consideration.įirst and foremost, it’s important to determine why you’re buying silver coins and what your ultimate exit strategy will be. Today’s topic of “What You Need to Know Before You Buy Silver Coins” is in response to a question posed by one of our subscribers.

Germania 2021 - Proof, Germania Mint, 2021, 5 Mark, Silver .9999 and the coin number on the certificate is *9*, Mintage 1000, 31.1 g, 38.61 mm Obverse Lady Germania, in a daring pose on the bow of a sailing vessel, appears to be leading her people on a journey into broad waters. Traditionally, crowned with a laurel wreath, she is clad in her armor and falling cloth. In her hands she wields the imperial sword Reichsschwert and a flag fluttering in the wind. What makes the 2021 coin extraordinary, is the broadening perspective of the obverse on the subsequent coins in the series – 1, 2, 10 oz and 1 kg.  Reverse The reverse of the 2021 coin remains unchanged, presenting the Germania Mint effigy with a two-headed eagle holding lightning bolts, surrounded by olive branches. The eagle is a symbol from Germanic mythology, associated with Janus – the god of all origins, guardian of gates and bridges, the patron of alliances. The eagle’s heads facing the opposite symbolize the past and the future. Packaging When creating coins, it is equally important for Germania Mint to provide them with safe and elegant packaging. That is why each piece is arranged in a dedicated capsule with a shape of a lens, which lets to admire it even more. In addition, the 1 oz Silver Proof coin received a special luxury blisterpack, which not only protects, but also increases its collecting value. The COA included with every set contains all the necessary information and guarantees the originality of the coin. #germaniamint #silver #monety #moneta #numizmatyka #numizmatyk #kolekcja #numismatist #coincollection #coinscollection #coincollector #coins #coin #coincollectors #mark #coinphotography #currency #coinsofinstagram #worldcoins #rarecoin #coinhunting #phtooftheday #numismatic #numismatics #numismatica #numismatik #coincollecting #photo #numismatique #hobby (w: Poland) https://www.instagram.com/p/CWliPDpqXAX/?utm_medium=tumblr

United States 1978 Eisenhower Dollar
Description:
Even though the United States had no genuine requirement for a big dollar coin at the start of the 1970s, the video gaming market established an intense need to discover a replacement for the silver dollars it used to feed tens of thousands of slots. This "need", and the recent passing of beloved war-hero-turned-President Dwight D. Eisenhower provided Congress with a chance to cater to the needs of the market. While United States Mint Director Mary Brooks lobbied for the coin to be struck in silver, Congress instead chose to strike the coin for circulation in the exact same copper-nickel (Cu-Ni) dressed structure in use for the cent and quarter dollar. In a compromise, silver-clad versions were authorized to be struck and sold to collectors.
Signed into law by President Richard M. Nixon (formerly Eisenhower's Vice President) on December 31, 1970, the Bank Holding Business Act Amendments of 1970 authorized the production of the coin.
(By the way, the amendments also authorized the General Solutions Administration (GSA) to sell 2.8 million Carson City Morgan dollars from the vaults of the United States Treasury.)
First year production overalls were big (47,799,000 for Philly service strikes and 68,587,424 for Denver) however paled when compared to the mintage of the 1971 Kennedy half dollar, which was struck in cu-ni clad for the first time this same year. While numerous millions of Eisenhower dollars were struck, with lots of millions going into flow, the coin was more of a novelty product than an useful coin for the functions of commerce.
1978 (P) Eisenhower Dollar
By the summer of 1976, work was well underway to rethink the future of American coinage. In its Extensive Evaluation of U.S. Coinage, the Research Study Triangle Institute pondered the elimination of the cent, the introduction of a two-cent coin, and the introduction a "more conveniently-sized" one dollar coin.
The Eisenhower dollar, a large-format dollar coin based on the size of the old silver dollar standard, had shown unwise for business functions. The same reality pattern applied when the Peace dollar of 1921 was introduced and the Morgan dollar of 1878 prior to it. The one key difference in between the Eisenhower dollar and its predecessors was the reality that the Eisenhower dollar was a base metal coin made from copper-nickel and the Peace and Morgan dollars were struck in 90% silver.
And while the Treasury vaults had actually been cleaned out its big stockpile of silver coins that it had actually held up to the early 1960s, the production of big cu-ni dollar coins was an option in search of a problem.
The "more conveniently-sized" one dollar coin went from think tank concept to the topic of Congressional interest by the end of the years. In 1978, Congress held many hearings relating to a change in the size and design of the dollar coin. In July, the Committee on Banking, Real Estate, and Urban Affairs of the United States Senate submitted its report and proposed a bill to authorize the production of a little dollar coin bearing the likeness of Susan B. Anthony. Anthony vanquished a number of other historic figures for coin's obverse, consisting of Corps of Discovery member Sacagawea. Sacagawea would change by the stern-faced suffragette as the face of another dollar coin fiasco.
This was the climate under which the last of the Eisenhower dollars of 1978 were made. The United States Mint struck 25.7 million Eisenhower dollars at Philadelphia and 33 million in Denver. The San Francisco Mint produced clothed Evidence variations of the coin and in 1978 presented a new process that greatly increased the quality of the coins' cameo contrast. Since of this, the 1978 Eisenhower dollar Proofs have a distinctly various look than all of the other Proofs, both clad and silver-clad, in the series.
In Mint State 65, the 1978 (P) brings a rate of about $18 according to CoinWeek IQ's current market analytics. This low cost does not reflect the trouble in cherrypicking gem-quality Eisenhower dollars of this issue in the wild. Mint set coins tend to have the very best strikes, however this is a trend and not a rule. In MS66, the 1978 (P) costs about $72. It is conditionally uncommon in the grade of MS67 and current auction records show that at this level, this issue has a value of roughly $5,000. With the look of new coins in the condition census, anticipate this price to soften rather. CAC-approved coins, especially those of extraordinary quality for the grade, will bring considerable premiums over these guide values.
Obverse:
Gasparro's Picture of Dwight D. Eisenhower(as President); Eisenhower facing to the. Gasparro's initials"FG" appear raised in the bust truncation. Beneath Eisenhower's chin, to the left, is the motto "IN GOD WE TRUST" LIBERTY covers around the top of the coin in the area between the rim and the top of Eisenhower's head. The date wraps around the bottom of the style, between the rim and the bottom of Eisenhower's bust truncation. While Philadelphia-struck pieces bear no mintmark, coins struck at Denver and San Francisco will bear little mintmarks of "D" or "S" above the area between the last 2 digits of the date. On Eisenhower dollars, mintmarks were hand-punched and might differ in exact area and orientation.
Reverse:
The reverse is based upon Michael Collins' Apollo 11 Objective Spot style.
In the center, a bald eagle in descent. In its talons, an olive branch. Its left wing is raised. The lunar surface area lies below. Above the eagle's head is a depiction of the Earth. North America is prominently noticeable. Covering around the top of the coin nearby to the rim is the legend "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA." Thirteen little five-point stars circle around the eagle. Our Northern Neighbors Celebrate 30 Years of Silver
With the North American Free Trade Deal in the news, our northern neighbors are getting more attention than usual. For coin collectors, Canada offers a way to add interesting items to a collection without having to even leave North America, and one coin from the Royal Canadian Mint that is a long-standing favorite is the Silver Maple Leaf Bullion $20 Coin. This coin contains 1 ounce (31.39 grams) of 99.99% pure silver. It as been 30 years since this coin was first struck, and to celebrate that, the Mint is releasing a special coin. With a mintage of just 6,500 coins, rarity is going to be an important factor in the future value of this coin to collectors.
The Silver Maple Leaf coin has been a standard coin for silver bullion, and so this is an event worth celebrating. To make it extra special, the coin will be a double-incuse design. An incuse design is one where the design is stamped into the surface, rather than the surrounding field being stamped back, leaving the design in raised relief. Incuse designs were made for circulation coins in the early years of the 20th century, in America, under Theodore Roosevelt. The purpose is to create a coin with a longer ‘handling life’, since the design will not be worn down so quickly. For the first time on a Canadian coin, the designs on both the obverse and reverse are incuse struck, making this a double-incuse coin.
On the reverse the coin has the original maple leaf design from 1988. This design was created by Walter Ott. This is the same design as used on the Maple Leaf gold bullion coin, and it has become a symbol of Canada and its coins. The realistic sugar maple leaf is surrounded by the words, CANADA” and FINE SILVER 1OZ ARGENT PUR, and the purity standard, 9999.
The obverse shows the profile of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, the head of state of Canada. The design is by Susanna Blunt. The issue date, 2018 and the face value of 20 DOLLARS surrounds the bust. To show that this is a commemorative coin, the beveled edge has embossed in it on opposite side the number 30.
The coin is encapsulated, and it comes in a presentation ‘clamshell’ box. In addition, each coin is accompanied by a Certificate of Authentication, numbered from 1 to 6,500. Typically, lower numbers of certified items are slightly more valuable, so early buyers get a potential bonus.
This time next year will see the release of a Commemorative Gold Maple Leaf coin, to mark 40 years since those coins were first struck. Details are not yet available, but we can assume that coin will be similarly unique.

We’ve all seen the commercials where they talk about how gold is on the rise, and coins are as well. When I see those commercials I wonder how expensive can a coin really become? And WHY? I’m not a financial expert, but I decided to do a little research and try to learn a thing or two.
My father-in-law collects coins and gets extremely excited about them. He always shares his new finds with me and explains why they are so special. Each time my interest peaks, because it IS really fascinating stuff, and who doesn’t want to educate themselves on another way to increase their personal wealth? I hope I found some coins you’ll be interested investing in and owning.
Please feel free to comment your thoughts and knowledge below!
So, here we are. I found the top 10 most expensive collectors coins I could find as of August 26, 2017. Enjoy!!

10. 1898 Barber Quarter PF-69 CAMEO NGC Quarter PF-69 NGC
“For the price of a fairly new, middle-class vehicle, you can own and invest in this gorgeous and unique coin that features Lady Liberty wearing a Phrygian cap and laurel wreath on one side, and displays an eagle with outstretched wings, a shield at its chest holding a banner in its beak, while holding an olive branch and a cluster of arrows in its talons.”
Yes that was a very long sentence. Basically it’s an American quarter with a very fancy image on both sides, and has never been used officially as currency in exchange for goods.
You know that it hasn’t been used and carried frivolously in someone’s pocket because its encapsulation by NGC guarantees and protects the condition of the coin.
Also, the coin was apparently designed by Charles Barber. If you don’t know who Charles Barber is, I did a little google search for the both of us. Charles Barber was the sixth Chief Engraver of the United States Mint from 1879 until his death in 1917. Many of Barber coins were melted for bullion when silver prices rose in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Which makes this piece even more valuable.
This coin is one of Charles Barber’s most famous and sought after designs by coin enthusiasts. If you have the money to spend, my research explains that this coin will not stop climbing in value. So you pay $46,752.67 today for the coin and its value is expected to increase consistently as the years pass by. It’s a worthy investment if you have the money to invest in it. For the most up to date price, visit the listing on Amazon by clicking here.

09. Gold & Brilliant Uncirculated 1995 AU Australia 1 kilo Gold Nugget BU
This coin is so beautiful and lovely. It’s not only a very smart investment but would make a fantastic show piece. One of the interesting things about the Australian Gold Nugget is that the image changes every year. This specific coin was the 1995 design, and the detail on it is breathtaking.
You can see the item for sale on Amazon. Through their store app or website you can zoom in and really analyze the details of this coin.
If you get a chance to look, check out the crown on the Queen’s head. It’s like an image out of a fairy tale!
These coins are not expected to ever drop in value. This coin is extremely limited, hard to find, and is a bargain for what you will receive back from it as time moves forward. It’s currently available for $52,813.80 and in time that number WILL keep climbing.

According to CoinWorld.com gold miners could visit the firm’s facility in Denver and trade their gold dust and nuggets into a usable currency, like the 1861 Clark Gruber & Co $20 Liberty Gold Double Eagle XF-40 PCGS.
CoinWorld.com also explains the coin is graded Extremely Fine 40 by Professional Coin Grading Service. As Scotsman notes in its description, Clark, Gruber & Co. coins serve as representatives of the “relatively brief periods of optimism when miners set out toward the west to ‘strike it rich.’ ” The privately issued gold coin, collected under the category of pioneer gold (also called private and territorial gold) and described as having “brassy luster” and “smooth and slightly glossy fields,” is all yours for $58,561.18.

07. 1876 Pattern Dollar PR-65 Cameo $1 PR-65 NGC
Coin Highlights: Struck in Copper. Population of {$Population} coin at this grade level with {$GradedHigher} graded higher. NGC encapsulation guarantees the coin’s PR-65 Cameo (Red) condition. Coins from the Philadelphia Mint do not feature a mintmark. Showcase your certified Lemus Collection Pattern by adding a presentation box to your order. This is a truly unique coin that I would have fun showing off. The art work featured on both sides has a very vintage appeal covered in a lovely copper color. I love the detail on the crown showing the word “LIBERTY” and the detail in the strands of hair being pulled back. The other side is a very simple wreath with the words “ONE DOLLAR” in the center. Even the wreath has very delicate attributes that are hard not to appreciate. This 1876 Pattern Dollar is extremely fun to look at and analyze. The value of this coin is $58,667.56 and will make a worthy addition to either start or add to your investments or coin collection.

06. 1833 $5 Gold Capped Head Half Eagle AU-58 NGC (Lg Date, Block-8) G$5 AU-58 NGC
Coin Highlights: This coin has a mintage of 193 630. This 1833 $5 Gold Capped Head Half Eagle has been certified as AU-58 by NGC, one of the top two coin grading services. This coin has a population of only 1 coin! NGC encapsulation guarantees the coin’s AU-58 condition. Coins from the Philadelphia Mint do not feature a mintmark. Showcase your certified $5 Gold Capped Head Half Eagle by adding a presentation box to your order when you check out with Amazon.
Here is an even older coin than the one I showed you previously in #07. Another thing I really love about coins is its a valuable piece of art that displays the changes that have happened through time.
If you compare this 1833 Gold Capped Head Half Eagle to the previous 1876 Pattern Dollar you’ll notice quite a difference in the design of liberty’s face. The hair is fashioned differently, instead of a crown it looks like a head wrap that says “LIBERTY,” and the face is more Greek looking in my opinion.
Obviously, different times, different design, different appeal, etc… but observing the changes is the fun part! As for investing in this coin, it’s currently on sale for $67,976.08 and is showing growth in its worth. To get the most up to date price of this coin visit Amazon.

05. 1776 Continental Currency Dollar AU-53 PCGS $1 AU-53 PCGS
Coin Highlights: Exact mintage is unknown. PCGS encapsulation guarantees the coin’s AU-53 condition. Struck in Pewter. This Colonial Coin has a denomination of $1.00. Showcase your certified Continental Currency Dollar by adding a presentation box to your order.
This coin is SO RARE I can’t believe it’s for sale. There’s NOT MANY of them still in existence today.
A coin very similar to this (the difference was it was struck in silver) was sold for $1.41 million at auction May 16, 2014 by Heritage Auctions. This particular pewter version is available for only $73,986.72. Drastically easier to afford than the silver version, but still a worthy investment. This coin connects us to the beginnings of our country; the United States of America.
Another very interesting thing about this coin is that there are two different pewter coins of the same year. One has the word spelled “CURENCY” and the other is spelled “CURRENCY” with two R’s. There is also ONE MORE version where they really screwed up and stamped it as “CURRENCEY.” This particular coin I’m sharing with you that’s for sale, has the word currency correctly spelled.
PCGSCoinFacts.com states “While no known authorization for the Continental “Dollars” is known, it is believed that they were made for the Continental Congress to be used as circulating currency, much as the similar paper currency. In fact, the fractional denominations of the paper currency dated February 17th, 1776 used the same designs as on these 1776 Continental “Dollars”.”
There is this very interesting image on one side and words that reads “FUGIO. MIND YOUR BUSINESS” I personally don’t know what that means. If you know I’d love for you to share it. There’s more information than I can share in this article. It’s one of those coins that every coin collector makes goals of obtaining one day, and never stops providing insight into the past.

This coin does not feature a mintmark. Showcase your certified Pine Tree Shilling by adding a presentation box to your order when you checkout on Amazon.
This is the oldest coin I’m sharing with you today on this top 10 list. It’s a very interesting coin that clearly and artistically expresses the more primitive engraving tools they had to use to create these little coins. Its age, 1652, also contributes to its value and only with time will this extremely rare coin continuously to GROW in value. If you’re interested in purchasing something you know there is very few of still in existence… THIS IS THE COIN TO INVEST IN.
I love observing the art work. There is a dainty little tree with roots on one side, and the other side reads AN DO NEW ENGLAND 1652 XII. PCGSCoinFacts.com shares, “In 1652, John Hull began striking silver coins bearing an image of a pine tree on the obverse and the date and denomination on the reverse.  This design followed Hull’s “Oak Tree” design.”

02. 1810 $5 Turban Head Gold Half Eagle Lg Date, Lg 5 MS-65 NGC G$5 MS-65 NGC
One of the reasons it’s called the Turban Head is because of the head dressing on Liberty. On one side of the coin Liberty is facing right, and is wearing a turban female cap that was popular during that era. US-COIN-VALUES-ADVISOR.com explains in regards to this coin, “Good luck on finding one for sale, but from time to time, one does come up, usually inviting a lot of competition from serious collectors.” Well guess what, right now, that coin is available for $103,454.81. Get it while its hot!

PRESS RELEASE – 2017 Platinum American Eagles – soon to be released by the US Mint
For Immediate Release: 1/27/2017
Bullion Exchanges www.bullionexchanges.com
Bullion Exchanges announces the new 2017 Platinum American Eagles – soon to be released by the US Mint
In 2017, the US Mint will celebrate 20 years since the very first issue of the Platinum American Eagle coin.  With this vicennial anniversary, the mint decided to set an earlier release date for this year’s BU edition of this coin. The mint’s authorized buyers have been announced that it can start making preliminary orders for the latest 2017 1 oz. Platinum American Eagle Coins beginning with January, 23rd. This well known coin is already available for pre-order on Bullion Exchanges and is expected to be shipped starting from February, 6th.
**
The US Mint did not disclose the exact number of allocated bullion coins. However, it’s estimated to as high as 20,000 pieces since the order size of each authorized purchaser will be accepted by the mint based on its 2016 purchase. Although in its official letter the mint states that it “may offer additional quantities for release later in 2017”, it is still uncertain if it will release another batch of coins if the initial offering stock runs out.
Order the newest edition of the legendary Platinum American Eagle from Bullion Exchanges today!
The official US platinum bullion coins, the Platinum American Eagles are a huge hit on the bullion marketplace. The US Mint first issued the platinum coin of this renowned program in 1997. Even though the platinum series didn’t reach the same production volume as the gold and silver versions, these collectibles quickly became a treasured must-have. This year, the mint commemorates the 20th anniversary since the introduction of the coin, making the 2017 piece a sought-after addition for any collector.
The reverse design of the BU Platinum Eagle coin is the same since its debut, unlike of the proof version which changes each year. The independent artist Thomas D. Rogers, Sr., also former sculptor-engraved of the US Mint, created this beautiful image representing the majestic bald eagle with its wings outstretched while soaring against the rising sun. The image is framed by the engravings of the coin’s weight and purity, as well as “$100” and “United States of America”.
During their mintage history, the coins have been struck with various finishes and sizes, being produced at the US Mint’s Philadelphia and West Point branches. The 1 oz. Platinum Eagle consists of .9995 fine platinum, has a face value of $100 and is legal tender and backed by the US Government. ½ oz., ¼ oz., and 1/10 oz. fractional Platinum Eagles had the same purity, being issued for the last time in 2014.
John Mercanti, the talented artist and former US Mint’s Chief Sculptor-Engraver designed the obverse side of this coin, being also the creator of the silver version and various other US coins. The image represents the face of the Statue of Liberty gazing with confidence into the future, encircled by the inscriptions “2017”, “Liberty”, “In God We Trust” and “E Pluribus Unum”. It is called the modern concept of the “Portrait of Liberty” and has been used both for brilliant uncirculated and proof Eagles since the introduction of the program.
The US Mint issued the previous two 1 oz. BU Platinum Eagle coin batches on a limited basis, 14,000 pieces in 2014 and 20,000 pieces in 2016, and all of them got quickly out of stock. Moreover, the 2014 releases were the first one offered after the production and sales of Platinum Eagles were suspended in 2008. The mint didn’t issue any coins in 2015 since it was looking for platinum blank suppliers. The US Mint doesn’t sell these iconic coins directly to the public. The Platinum Eagles are instead purchased by a network of approved buyers, so the first batch of this year’s edition is expected to sell out quickly.

NGC certifies majority of emergency production 2020(P) Silver Eagles

The numismatic rarity is the result of an emergency shift in U.S. Mint production in April due to the coronavirus situation and increased demand for Silver Eagle coins.
Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) has once again demonstrated its position as the leader in modern coin certification: The third-party grading service has already certified more than half of April’s emergency production of 240,000 American Silver Eagles at the Philadelphia Mint.
The Philadelphia Mint struck 240,000 American Silver Eagle bullion coins between April 8 and April 20, 2020, according to official U.S. Mint documentation. Bullion Silver Eagles, which have no mintmark, are normally struck at the West Point Mint and, in some years, the San Francisco Mint. Production of Silver Eagles was temporarily supplemented by the Philadelphia Mint due to the coronavirus emergency and strong demand for the coins.
The U.S. Mint makes bullion Silver Eagles available through a network of distributors called “Authorized Purchasers.” The coins are packaged in green “monster boxes” that each hold 500 coins. The Silver Eagles struck at the Philadelphia Mint have tracking numbers 400,000 through 400,479 on their sealed U.S. Mint monster boxes.
The majority of these coins have now been submitted to NGC, which has long been the leader in third-party certification of Silver Eagles and other coins. NGC recently became the first third-party grading service to certify more than 10 million Silver Eagles.
“We are honored that the marketplace has once again recognized NGC as the industry leader,” said Mark Salzberg, NGC Chairman and Grading Finalizer. “Collectors place their trust in NGC because of our superior expertise, integrity, and holders, among many other factors.”
Eligible coins are identified on the NGC certification label with the description “Struck at Philadelphia Mint, 2020(P) Eagle S$1, Emergency Production.” With a mintage of just 240,000 coins, the 2020(P) Emergency Production Silver Eagle is the second-rarest issue in the 34-year history of the bullion American Silver Eagle series.
Coins attributed as part of the Philadelphia Mint Emergency Production are listed separately in the 2020 Eagle section of the NGC Census. The NGC Census is a free online population report of coins certified by NGC, located here. (Note: The NGC Census does not count coins that do not receive a numeric grade or an NGC Details grade, or coins that have not yet shipped from NGC.)
For more information about NGC and its third-party certification services, visit the website of NGC.
