Annie Radd

Annie Radd is a rock n' roll girl who loves music and singing. She is a potential resident ready to rock, as well as a minigame host, and rockstar client turned potential recruit for the Sim Protection Agency. Hello, [town name]! Annie Radd is here... to... ROCK!!! So tune up your air guitars and get ready! Although rock music, by its nature, the greatest art form ever created, I do appreciate a stirring symphony or the subtle inspiration of a delightful sonata every now and then... Wait, what did I just say? Alright, time to get back to RAWKIN' THE WORLD!

Chaz McFreely

An actor/stuntman

Charles "Chaz" McFreely is a daredevil stuntman who's never content until something has been done "to the extreme." He tends to be cocky and is slightly naïve at times. Chaz often butts heads with other Sims, mainly Travis and Luke, due to the fact that all three have some sort of a crush on Summer. Aside from being a stuntman, Chaz also serves as a potential resident, a potential finance advisor[1], a student at The Royal Academy, a minigame host, a rival racer, a client, a hotshot pilot, and the leader of Team McFreely. Chaz McFreely is an extreme stuntman. He takes extreme sports really seriously and is ready for any challenge that comes his way. Extreme sports legend Chaz McFreely has done it all, but he won’t rest until he’s done it all to the MAX!! "WOOOORD! it is I, extreme sports legend Chaz McFreely, at your service!"

Beebee

A cosplayer at heart. Loves anime and manga. Lives in Mt. Komorebi. Is sweet to cover up/run away from her mental problems. Decorates everything on the outside to overcompensate for her glum inside.

Beebee is the "bunny princess". Her house has a lot of cute furniture, including chairs that look like bunnies, and a couch shaped like a carrot. Meet Beebee, the bunny princess! Even without the ears, she has a ravenous appetite for carrots!

Vic Vector

Vic Vector knows everything there is to know about action figures, comic books, and video games. He spends his time watching sci-fi marathons, going on internet fantasy programs, and playing arcade games. His favorite video game is Plane vs. Eye. Vic has had several jobs, which include owning and running an arcade, an environment advisor[1], a janitor on Rocket Reefturned astronaut for Dr. F, a minigame host, and a paranormal government investigator, working alongside Rosalyn P. Marshall. Vic Vector is a mega-geek to the MAX! He comes to the Town Hotel in hopes of owning an arcade. Vic will talk a lot about different video games and sci-fi TV shows, which all play into his tasks.. He will ask the player to build him a few arcade games, as well as a couch, television, and refrigerator to get his arcade ready for business. Vic Vector is better known by his online name, AwesomElf42. He spends most of his time in a land of fantasy – a land where heroes undertake epic quests, dragons and magic are real, and men in their 30’s can play with action figures all day.

Pinky

A transgirlie who loves the colour blue.

Pinky is a teenage girl who in love with the color blue. She talks about the color blue on any given occasion and even has a blue house. Pinky is a typical resident, minigame host, as well as a client/potential recruit for the Sim Protection Agency. Pinky is a teenage girl who loves the color blue. She always talks about the color blue and wants liked her blue things to be cute. Despite her obsession of blue, the reason her name is "Pinky" remains a mystery. Pinky loves anything that's blue. Blue dress, blue eyes-she even has blue hair! Wait... why is her name Pinky?!

Edwin

Edwin loves the taste of mayonnaise and always talks about it. He enjoys eating any kind of food, but mayonnaise is what he talks about more than any other food. When Edwin bites into just about anything, he’s happy. Sometimes, he chews on his own tongue, just for kicks! "You know why I respect mayonnaise? 'Cuz it comes in a jar, not one of those fancy-pants squeeze bottles!" - "Can I let you in on a little secret? Sometimes, when you're hungry enough, all you need is mayonnaise and a spoon!" Silly humour, a bit like Dylan Lenivy.

Violet Nightshade

Relationships:

Poppy: Violet is Poppy's older sister. She cares deeply for Poppy, but sometimes can't stand her perkiness and love for bright and cheerful flowers. In MySims Kingdom, she moves to Cutopiato be closer to Poppy. While Violet sometimes regrets leaving Spookane, she would rather be with Poppy. If the player completes the Ninjas Flipping Out mission before 1.23 Jigawatts Required in MySims SkyHeroes, Violet will reveal she only joined SkyForce to protect Poppy.

Lord Daniel: By the end of the Cutopia storyline in MySims Kingdom, Violet and Lord Daniel form a relationship, and go on picnic dates everyday.

Sir Vincent Skullfinder: In MySims, Violet appears to be unaware of Sir Vincent's crush on her, but the two will get along due to their shared interests. In MySims SkyHeroes, Skullfinder betrays SkyForce by selling the location of their base to the Chaos Pirates, so it is likely Violet resents him for that.

Olivia: The two are never seen together until the credits of MySims Agents (DS), where they are seen dressing up Weather. It is possible they are friends.

Justice: In MySims SkyHeroes, Violet acts as Justice's second-in-command and logistics advisor. The two have what could be seen as a father-daughter relationship. (Poppy and Violets adoptive father)

Weather: a cat she saved from when she was a Cat photographer at a horrible place that mistreated the cats; now Weather lives with her.

Poppy Nightshade

Poppy is a young girl who loves flowers, rainbows, and stickers. She owns the flower shop in Town Square and is one of the 5 Sims who stayed in town after the Essence Masterdisappeared, along with Mayor Rosalyn P. Marshall, Buddy the Bellhop, Patrick Rhino, and her sister, Violet Nightshade. Poppy lives in a small house on Cutopia with her own flower garden. She hosts the Happy Festival and the Bloomin' Blossoms minigame. She also runs a flower stand in the park on Main Street in the City, as well as another flower shop in Speedville. Poppy, a jubilant, young girl with a kind heart and passion for flowers. She is one of the residents still living in Town Square when the player moves in, along with Mayor Rosalyn P. Marshall, Buddy the Bellhop, Patrick Rhino, and her sister Violet Nightshade. Poppy runs the flower shop and is the first Sim to give the player tasks after making Rosalyn's podium, namely two flower stands and a bed. She can sometimes be seen watering trees around town. Poppy thinks flowers are totally, awesomely cute. Working in the flower shop and playing with her sister, Violet, are Poppy's favorite things ever. She really loves flowers, and she loves rainbows. And stickers.

Olivia Ophélie

Olivia is an introverted Sim who is often nervous, clumsy, and mysterious. She always mutters a nervous laugh when talking to others, like "Haha..." Olivia often gets herself stuck under or inside something (such as a table or a suit of armor), and she'll need help getting out. Olivia owns a general goods shop on an island resort town, and in another town where she is also a minigame host. She is also skilled at making rings with the jewels the player digs up from Dowsing in the Mountains. Olivia is the quiet, nervous, mysterious, clumsy general goods store owner. When the player goes to her store, she calls out for help and the player has to help get her out of a suit of armor she got herself stuck in. Olivia will apologize for the inconvenience and then offer to sell general goods. She gets her goods from a secret supplier. Later on, Olivia will get stuck under a table, once again needing help getting out, and she will hide between surfboards, fooling the player. She will also offer to make rings out of the jewels the player collects from Dowsing in the Mountains. General goods store owner. A quiet, strange Sim.

Virginia "Ginny"

Virginia has never been much of a pirate name, so the obvious thing to do was to introduce herself as Ginny. Of course, her closest circle call her Cap'n Ginny.

She is a Sim who loves to dress up and commits to every role she plays. Throughout the MySims series, she serves as the owner to pirate-themed tavern, a transportation advisor[1], a sheriff in Cowboy Junction, a fire chief and racer in Speedville, a police officer in Autumn Bay, and a pilot.

Cap'n Ginny (real name Virginia) is a feisty young lady who likes to dress up as a pirate and play make believe. She returns to the Town Hotel in hopes to open a pirate-themed tavern/bar called Cap'n Ginny's. Ginny is the partner and best friend of Pablo.

Ginny's parents noticed early on that their little Virginia was different from the other children. While most kids greeted each other by saying 'hello', Ginny would usually scream 'Avast, ye scurvy dogs!' and then bite them on the head. 'A little rambunctious' is how her teachers described her. One day Ginny received a pirate hat and an eye-patch as a gift from her grandmother (who is no longer allowed to bring gifts without asking Ginny's parents first). On that fateful day, Cap'n Ginny was born! Since then Ginny has been seeking fortune and adventure on the high seas of her own imagination. YARRR!!!

Pablo being her only real or close friend. anyone else trying to get close to him makes her anxious. At one point she just started saying he was her boyfriend, and he just went with it!

Pablo likes to play pirate. He is great friends with Cap'n Ginny and naturally plays pirate with her. He often stutters when he talks. Pablo is a nice boy who dreams of calm, clear seas (when he's not helping Ginny with one of her "adventures"). "I wonder if you could make a ship out of blocks and essences and could sail it around the ocean! Probably not, but it would be really neat, huh?"

MySims Townie Pool - Empty Subhood with 32 townies!

I've been wanting to make a townie pool with some of my favourite Rolands Town's characters for a while, and I finally did it! This is a townie pool: an empty suburb which you attach to your main neighborhood to add a group of townies.

This townie pool includes 32 ADULT SIMS (16 female, 16 male) who are all based on MySims characters.

Here's a list of all the sims I've included: Poppy and Violet Nightshade, Rosalyn P. Marshall, Patrick Rhino, Buddy the Bellhop, Chef Gino, Dj Candy, Vincent Skullfinder, Elmira Clamp, Rhonda, Vic Vector, Clara Belle, Roxie Road, Stephen Albright, Gordon, Ray, Annie Radd, Flipper, Billy, Brandi, Odin Revolution, Jenny, Liberty, Barney Cull, Summer, Luke, Chaz McFreely, Sandra, Cedella, Raven, Edwin and Clayton Dander.

This townie pool was created with TS2 Ultimate Collection and it is CC-FREE, but I do have Fanseelamb's recategorizing mod for outerwear and richi3frogs's recategorizing mod for athletic wear. If you don't have these mods, some clothes in these two categories may be swapped with other ones.

I made two versions: one where all these sims are available in the Sims Bin, divided in 4 households, so that you can make them over and edit them to your liking before townifying them; in the other version they're already townified, but this means THEIR NAMES WILL BE RANDOMIZED! If you want to keep their names intact, grab the Sims Bin version! After you attach this subhood to a neighborhood, the townies will be added to either the sims bin or the townie pool, and you can safely delete the subhood.

Sprite Progress

So trying to get a reasonable amount of facial differences for some sprites.

This is a kinda curse and blessing since the Crescent Style is a simpler version.

I get to learn how to draw this bastard better and I'm gonna have to learn how to draw better with the vector layer! Will def make reusing lineart easier

Basically, Vic's body is sorta part of the bg. his pose will not change but his facial expression will! I plan to make a separate enough that the chair+vic does a little "bounce" but nothing too taxing.

It's wiser to cut down on so much art. Not every sprite has to have a super unique hand addition or movement.

At the end of the day, the core I want to have :

Sad/Disappointed

Angry/Annoyed/Distant

Surprised

Horny Flirty

Embarrassed/ Flushed

"Serious" / "Professional" / Determined"

The only reason some are "/" is to cause some characters may be upset but don't show anger the same way others do. For them, in a serious situation, they could "glare" or look "calm". but the general idea is all there.

I've been taking inspiration from games like "Error 143", "Love on the Peacock Express" and the H*mestuck Friendsim (censoring it for my sanity).

The expressions are lovely and I won't deny that they helped me figure out dating sim background art.

These tend to have MANY expressions - and sometimes special ones you don't see unless you take a certain path and I find that pretty neat!

(BTW Error 143 is kinda my fave besides the Milf train game, the added element to having hacking challenges through hangman format is very cool and I hope for a future chapter in the CMTP i'm able to do something like that.)

9 Mysims Facts I Learned Today:

1. While some implied Mysim nationalities are obvious (Chef Gino being Italian, Travis being British, Aran being either Thai or Chinese), Madame Zoe is implied to be Cajun, as she sprinkles French words throughout her dialogue and is canonically from Louisiana (somehow)

2. There are at least 9 Mysims implied to be Japanese, either by clothing choice, name, or facial features: Chef Watanabe, his son Jimmy, his niece Sachiko, Yuki, Samurai Bob, Star and Kage, Chancellor Ikara, and Makoto (in her human form)

3. Some sims were made to have parallels to each other using game mechanics, one example being Violet Nightshade (Spooky) and her sister Poppy (Cute) hating each others' favorite interests but sharing a secondary Fun interest (meaning they can still get along in-game). The same happens with Shirley (Tasty) and her twin sister Nicole Vogue (Studious) sharing the Cute interest

Zombie Carl and Violet Nightshade's backstories in 'Kingdom complement each other too, as Zombie Carl (Cute) moved to a Spooky island and Violet (Spooky) moved to a Cute island

4. Dolly Dearheart is canonically a fursuit designer (she makes all of Hopper's frog suits)

5. There are a handful of Mysims with implied or confirmed ages:

Poppy is (likely) Violet's younger sister, and both are older than Evelyn Gray

Pinky, Summer, Chaz, Liberty, Travis, Luis, Jenny, Candy, Sapphire, and Zack are all shown/implied to be in high school

Renée isn't old enough to attend high school yet

Robo Makoto is currently attending high school, so is mentally in her teens

Vic Vector is "around 30"

Zombie Carl has been dead for anywhere between twelve to several hundred years, depending on the game

Vincent Skullfinder is older than 50 due to his 50-year contribution streak to archeology

Wendalyn is likely at least 100 years old due to her youth potions extending youth by 100 years

6. Chef Watanabe's son, Jimmy, is programmed to regularly stop by and eat at his dad's sushi bar despite canonically having a severe seafood allergy

7. Multiple characters break the fourth wall, either by referencing their actions as "like a video game" or recognizing the parallel universes of the various Mysims games

8. Dr. F regularly tortures T.O.B.O.R. both physically and mentally to see if robots can have nightmares, on top of constantly setting him to self destruct (F also programmed in a fear of kelp and squirrels just cause)

9. Leaf has high cholesterol despite living on a magical unicorn paradise island because he sneaks off to eat fried foods and Petal hates it

List of My Sims characters in Dutch

So. Sup.

You may have noticed it, but I really like My Sims. I played it when I was younger: Base game (PC/Wii/DS) Kingdom (Wii/DS), Agents (Wii/DS), Party (DS) and Racing (DS), and I was kind of happy to see some stuff on tumblr. Here’s the thing: except for the base game on PC, I played everything in Dutch, so I decided to make a list of the Dutch names of My Sims characters.

Cause I’m slowly trying to get back into those games? I blame The Sims 4 with their My Sims trophies, and The Sims 4 also has four characters based on My Sims characters: Travis Scott, Liberty Lee, Summer Holiday, and Candy Behr. (Candy also has a sister named Yuki, but EA only confirmed that Candy is the same as DJ Candy).

Please keep in mind that is done from memory. If a Sim is missing then I either forgot about them or their name is the same in Dutch. If you want to know a character’s Dutch name, just send me an ask.
