For my Master’s practicum I’m starting a medical blog.

It’s SimpleMLS, because I’m a medical laboratory scientist, and I’m trying to talk about laboratory and other medical topics in simple terms. I’m still working on writing more articles (I’m going to have 12 articles by mid-december), but if anyone thinks this is a good idea and wants to learn more about medicine through the lens of a laboratory professional, let me know.

I’m also a diabetic, so my A1C article discusses this test from both the patient and lab professional lens. Depending on interest, I may write more articles about diabetes.

I also work in a small laboratory within the USDVA, so if you know a veteran of the American armed forces, I might be able to write something about how the system works.
