PSA regarding Equiliberty/EL

As many of you may know, Equiliberty is a large Sims 4 equestrian server hosted on discord. It is with immense disappointment that I find myself making this post. What was once a fun place to share new creations, now stands on shaky legs in light of many recent events. For those who are unaware, i’ll share an explanation here, alongside screenshots as much of it has been deleted or removed, alongside those who contributed to the discussions.

It’s been apparent for a long time now that management is unable to handle addressing a server of this size and magnitude. No suggestions or criticism towards the admin team have been well received, either option to be ignored or brushed off, at best. At worst, those who hold concerns are possibly banned. This came to a head when, after asking for suggestions on how to restore the server’s activity level, nearly all of EL’s moderation team quit due to the lack of responsibility or willingness to hear our other concerns or suggestions.

EL has consistently shown hostility towards other communities, refusing to acknowledge them as friends but rather rivals who ‘poach’ members from their own server. They’ve even gone as far as to publicly discourage other owners.

In light of all of this, it was revealed that one admin has said some rather unsavory things regarding the trans and non-binary community in private. Previously, both this admin and another staff member were questioned for seemingly transphobic discord bios, which was promptly brushed off as irrelevant to their position as a staff member. EL has stated multiple times that their staff do not represent the server or their values, and are unwilling to vet anyone they plan to welcome into the team.

In response, this admin member has refused to take accountability for her words and has instead attempted to downplay the severity of their impact. For those of you looking for a safe space ran by inclusive admins, Equiliberty Sims is not the one for you.

"Equiliberty 2.0" is still not a safe server for trans and/or gay simmers, and Jocelyn still hasn't given a genuine apology for pretending to be a trans woman on an alt defending her own transphobia.

"a community for everyone." She's lying -- the head mod, Jocelyn, is revamping things yet again because after her transphobic remarks came to light she was caught pretending to be a gay trans woman on an alt to defend herself.

Jocelyn has said some truly disgusting things, such as calling a transgender server member "it" and other classics:

She also deletes any criticisms of her and filters words such as trans, gay, and transphobe.

We stray away from bad stuff tossed our way, we are a safe space for fellow mature sims players, who just want to enjoy playing with their pixel horses in peace and be apart of the ultimate server for mostly Sims 4. No requirement for updates, or being active, just pure casual gaming and role play with other equine simmers (: no useless rules, only to treat people, like you want to be treated.
