La publicación mas sincera que he hecho en años
Y probablemente la mas importante,
Esta vez quiero que conozcan un poco mas de mi, por que ahora mas que en algún otro tiempo es algo que valoraría, ¿Un poco perdidos? les pido que sigan leyendo.
Han sido tiempos realmente difíciles, singulares y a momentos realmente incomprensibles, así como pararse frente a un jeroglífico y no tener la mas mínima idea de si uno se encuentra ante una mancha de la historia o el producto de un ancestro milenario, pero esta vez no voy a escribir de cuanto sufro y derramar drama por aquí y por allá, creo que he aprendido algo y deseo compartirlo.
Finalmente me lancé las preguntas correctas ¿Por que me siento tan incompleto? ¿Por que aunque ciertamente las cosas se sienten mejor, no se sienten completas? ¿Por que siento como si simplemente no me pudiera comunicar con los demás humanos? ¿Realmente soy tan tonto? ¿Soy una de esas personas tan carentes de intelecto que no puedo ni comunicarme?
He estado buscando respuestas de aquí para allá y de un lado a otro pero les mentiría si no les dijera que a veces solo daba vueltas, comencé un estudio de doctrinas filosóficas, desde el hedonismo hasta el cinismo, trate muchas cosas y aunque disfrute mucho de ello me di cuenta que era inútil buscar, por que no sabia que buscar.
Actualmente leo y resuelvo el Resnick, mínimo una vez a la semana avanzo en mi libro de Álgebra (Vinberg) el cual inicie por que quería estudiar los campos de galois, estoy leyendo diariamente un poco de Calculus de Apostol (Gracias a un PDF de la UNAM), estoy construyendo un sitio ficticio “MeadowLark travel“ con el libro Web development with Node and express, aveces leo El juego de los abalorios de Hermann Hesse, trato de construir un asistente para mi estudio del Francés, cosa que hago los sabados, deje mi app “Farmaciapp“ incompleta, mi curso de Paypal Developers incompleto, en la escuela deje el taller de creación literaria, el club de ajedrez en la primaria, no fui al concurso de declamación en la primaria, casi me obligaron y solo termine con un reconocimiento, y hasta este momento se preguntarán ¿Y a nosotros por que nos importa lo que haces? Solo quería mencionarlo por que así siento todo, incompleto, a veces agobiante, como si todo eso no me lleva a nada, como un mapa de mi persona, que me causa terror, solo de verlo, me he preguntado si realmente he llegado al momento donde ves tan mal las cosas que no eres mas que fracaso.
Desde hace 1 semana no tengo empleo y les daría risa si les digo cuanto duré en el, lo mismo con mi empleo anterior y uno antes de ese fue duradero, pero no precisamente mejor, y hay muchas razones y podría poner muchas excusas, pero serían puras mentiras, me sigo sintiendo horrendamente solo, no solamente por la ausencia de personas, si no por la ausencia de mi mismo.
hace mucho intente un ir tratando de entender las cosas, observaba a mis compañeros en la primaria, en ocasiones las cosas que valoraban, a los agredidos y a los agresores, a los aplicados, a los no aplicados y muchas etiquetas mas... deduje una cosa importante “Las personas no existen, las ideas que los fundamentan si“, y después pase a mi tiempo donde trataba de adaptarme mimetizando, esto principalmente en la secundaria, con resultados desastrosos, un hermetismo en la media superior y yo creo que una combinación de todas en la superior, aunque en esa etapa pasaron cosas realmente especiales.
En todas esas etapas casi siempre hubo una constante, miedo y rechazo propio, siempre creando ideas para validarme, siempre aspirando a una normalidad creada desde mi perspectiva, pero realmente todo seguía estando en un estado de sensaciones limitadas, evitando la realidad.
Creo que la primera cosa que me ha servido como una reivindicación es dejar de tener tanto miedo, aceptar mi humanidad, dejar de hacer cosas por el miedo a fracasar, entender que no soy perfecto, me va a doler y estará bien, por que esta bien sentir, comprender y ser quien soy esta bien, no es que crea en la felicidad ciega, es solo que soy un humano y a veces los días grises también se pueden disfrutar, no tengo que cargar con el peso del mundo, esta bien estar contento y ciertamente esta bien estar triste, siempre y cuando sea lo que quiero.
Todo el tiempo he estado acusando a las personas egoístas, pero lo irónico me siento incompleto por la misma razón, he sido el gran idiota que cree tener razón en el mundo, que cree que debe de iluminar, el que debe de demostrar algo, alguien que se protege de si mismo.
Realmente ya no me siento enojado, creo que ahora puedo entender a mi parte mas frágil, puedo entenderme a través de mis errores y no digo que esto sea una lección.
creo que por primera vez no tengo ninguna lección que dar o una moraleja, solo se que debo de ser mas amable conmigo y mi respuesta son ustedes familia y amigos, quiero realmente formar parte , un humano y una persona, no quiero ser mas egoísta, no tengo mas miedo a fallar.
Realmente no se a donde ir, no tengo la menor idea de donde quiero estar en 10 años o en 20, solo se que el que lo decida seré yo y espero que muchos de ustedes estén ahí conmigo pasando momentos divertidos, tal vez me consiga una novia, un empleo, tal vez escriba algo o solo salga con alguno de ustedes a disfrutar de un día mas, tal vez siga programando, tal vez sea otra mañana con café, unas risas divertidas, tal vez lloré, no lo se, solo se que quiero seguir.
Nada es perfecto y ciertamente a veces es lo mas bonito de todo, tal vez mañana este muy oscuro para ver, o muy lluvioso o muy triste, tal vez me queje o sonría o sienta ira o me caiga, no lo se, solo se que estaré ahí para ser amable conmigo y si ustedes también están, seria increíble.

Writing Effective Emails – Why Your Subject Line and Signature Matters
Usually while drafting an email, we pay little attention to the subject line and the signature at the end of the email. Some of us even go so far as to leave these fields completely blank, simply writing the text of the email without any subject or signature. Very often, the subject line helps the recipient decide whether or not (s)he should even open the email. The signature reflects courtesy and also, a formal end to the email. Here are our thoughts on the importance of subject lines and signatures – especially when it comes to drafting a Effective Professional Emails.
Firstly,
it has to give enough information that the reader understands what the e-mail is about. For example, a subject that goes “Action required” is ambiguous and unlikely to ring any bells with the reader. A better subject line would be “Assignment Deadline: Action required”, which makes it clear to the reader that the mail is regarding the assignment deadline and he needs to do something about it.
it has to be interesting enough that the user wants to read the rest of the letter. For example, a subject line “Quick question” is unlikely to arouse any interest in the reader and he might dismiss it as irrelevant if he is busy. You probably could have pinged him regarding the “quick question”, right? Instead, “Quick question about Friday’s seminar” gives the reader just enough information on what the question is about and he may go on to read the rest of it. It is important to keep in mind that the subject has to be concise and informative – being too lengthy can annoy the reader, for example, “Quick question on the 3rd day of the first seminar in this quarter on sales held on Friday”. Leave unnecessary details out of the subject line – include them in the text of the e-mail.
The subject line also serves to set the context of the mail. It should make the tone of the mail clear – whether it is a complaint, a query, a request, a congratulatory letter, or something that needs urgent attention. That prepares the reader for the content and he/she can spend more time on the details rather than finding out what the letter is for.
An equally important part of your email is how you end it, i.e. the signature. When writing a formal email, it is important to sign off appropriately. ‘Regards’ or ‘Thanks’ or ‘Best’ are the safest phrases to sign off with. Although smileys like 🙂 are accepted in informal mails, it is best to avoid using these in your business/professional emails. Likewise, avoid phrases that sound forced – ‘Thanks so much!’ might only be apt if it is a request mail.
At the end comes your contact information. When writing Effective Professional Emails, you should write your full name. Avoid signing off with only your first name or a nick name. Provide brief contact details, like your phone number and fax. If the reader does not know you, you should include your designation and the name of the organization. However, refrain from putting in unnecessary detail about yourself. Moreover, avoid putting inspiring quotes or large disclaimer messages or images that might take time to load over slow connections (which also, at times, come across as pretentious or pompous).
The subject and the sign off should be in sync with the tone of your email, so that you communicate yourself effectively.

Five Critical Components of Business to Ensure Operational Excellence
In the day-to-day busyness of business, it is very easy to get mired in transactional stuff and lose sight of your mission and the reason you are in business and why you do what you do. How much more effective the organization would be and how superior the results if every person working on every task in the company can link it upwards stage by stage to the overall vision for the company ? If the person went home every day with a sense of fulfillment through finding meaning in work and knowing that his/her work contributed to a higher purpose? A shared vision is a very powerful motivator for people and operational excellence is possible only when there is a critical mass of people for whom business is personal. Wishful thinking? Not really, when you consider that many studies have proved beyond a doubt that meaningful work leads to personal happiness, professional success AND profitable growth for the organization that provides this (clarity of vision, mission and inter-linkage to the efforts at ground-level). So, how do you align your day-to-day Business operations to ensure that you and your people are finding meaning in work? It all comes down to how well you have thought through, communicated and implemented these components of business:
Business Component #1: Vision Statement – A vision statement has the potential to become a rallying cry, a clarion call to unite every person in the company towards a higher purpose. Too often, vision statements are not clear enough or even inspiring enough to really become the powerful tool that it can be. Consider Nelson Mandela’s statement – “one team, one country” or Microsoft’s in the 90s – “A computer on every desk and in every home; all running Microsoft software.” A bold, definitive statement that shows people the destination and the purpose of their work is the starting point for everything. Coupled with a clear guidance on values and desired behaviours, a great vision statement can truly work to drive excellence in the organization. Read how Zappos.com CEO focused his team from “needing to motivate people to get things done” to “inspiring them to want to do things beyond expectations” (and so successfully) here.
Business Component #2: Strategic Planning – This is the next step, moving from the “where” to the how. A good strategic plan provides the map to achieve the vision. Working through the strengths and weaknesses of the organization, it should outline the actions that need to be taken to meet the goals. The plan should have clarity (admittedly difficult in the flux that exists in business today) and well-defined accountability and timelines so that it becomes clear and easy for everyone in the company to enable them in the decisions they need to make today to arrive at to where the organization needs to be tomorrow. You will know if your strategic plan is clear if people around you understand what the story is – what leadership wants to do. Also, a strategic plan is not just about the future, referred to regularly, it can also be quite useful in assessing the current issues that are causing problems. Have a long-term strategy but refresh the plans operationally in shorter term periods so that the plan remains achievable and is not completely disconnected from reality.
Business Component #3: Budgeting – I call this “putting your money where your mouth is” or walking the talk. There is no point having a strategy if you are not willing to invest in it. This is where strategic planning gets transformed to operational realities. The budgets should be completely aligned to the strategic plan and not just the target numbers – in the short term and the long term – and thus serve as the guideline for communicating and executing on the business strategy. Break down the budget into tasks with timelines, identify the stakeholders best suited for each task, align existing processes and design new processes to ensure sustainability in advance. Assign accountability within the organization not just at the senior levels but right up to the front-line staff to ensure everyone knows and is signed up for the budget. This helps in providing a clear line of sight for achieving the budget and hence the vision while building confidence in the budget within the organization itself. Business Component #4: Measurements or Metrics – Numbers keep you honest provided they are not manipulated. Metrics help measure the effectiveness of the plan and the execution but is important to measure what is important :). Care must be taken to set metrics that actually drive the desired behaviors and do not risk people running after the wrong goals. The choices of key metrics need to be reviewed periodically – business is dynamic, why should metrics remain static? What makes sense to measure in today’s scenario may be irrelevant tomorrow. Also, it is not enough to measure, you also need to act. No metric is useful unless there is an action plan that arrives out of it and is communicated and implemented with urgency. Otherwise, a metric becomes just another number on a report that nobody pays attention to till it is too late. Metrics also serve the purpose of “milestones” or “scoreboards” for your vision to keep a track of the successes along the journey, create competitive spirit and very importantly, serve as reasons to celebrate wins along the way. Business Component #5: Execution – And finally, the most difficult part of the process – execution and execution at the speed that is needed. Larry Bossidy, the former CEO at Allied Signal, Inc. and Honeywell, and the co-author of Execution: The Discipline of Getting Things Done, said it like this: “Corporate strategies are intellectually simple; their execution is not. The question is, can you execute? That’s what differentiates one company from another.” I have written about getting things done in complex organizations earlier – the point in this context is injecting the right “dose” of urgency into the organization. Spread energy and enthusiasm into the organization through the execution phases to generate alignment, urgency, and engagement in a majority of employees in the organization – to answer the “what is in it for me” question and to make the work “personal” and hence drive operational excellence through meaning. The common important thread through all the above is of course, the culture that is built, lived and sustained throughout the organization – without the right culture, you may set everything up perfectly but the desired outcome will be far from reality. If people do not feel they have a safe environment or that there is mutual trust and respect, the energy gets drained out battling office politics, pacifying egos management and conflict management. There is no energy left for people who wish for meaning in their work, look for it and work towards it in their everyday activities. Operational excellence becomes a mirage. As Louis Gerstner said – ‘I came to see, in my time at IBM, that culture isn’t just one aspect of the game—it is the game.’ What have you seen worked in finding meaning in work in your organization? And yet we have failed to acknowledge it, let alone work towards changing it. Today, we regard the human body working in clock work to ‘achieve’ and ‘deliver’, as normal. Which brings us back to the age old debate, as old as modernity itself, what then distinguishes us from machines? Two things which make us humane, kindness, and compassion, distinguish us from machines.
About two thirds of our day is spend at our work place. While many of us love our work place, there are many who dread it. While the reasons why one many not like ones workplace could be many, one of the primary reasons is the attitude and nature of the co-workers or colleagues. Many a times, we fail to understand how being sensitive, compassionate and kind, can make a world of difference to the people we deal with in the world of work.
Kindness is genuinely undervalued in the world of work. Many managers and leaders feel that elements of kindness and compassion are in direct conflict with professionalism. One couldn’t be farther away from truth. You can be professional and yet be a kind and compassionate human being. In fact, your productivity and work life balance are influenced a great deal by how happy you are in your work place. What are the three most simple things that you can do to practice kindness at work? Here they are –
Listen
When someone speaks to you, listen. And not with your mouth so you can respond or react. Listen not just with your ears, but also with your mind. We mean listening not just in the effective communication sense, but in this case more in the humanitarian sense. Listen out of kindness. One example could be a form of miscommunication between you and your subordinate at work relating to non-achievement of established goals. The conclusion you see is that the work has not been done, however, give your colleague a chance to explain why the work hasn’t been done. Unless you listen, you will not know whether the reason was valid or not. More importantly, unless you listen, you will never know how you end up hurting someone who is already in a tough place. This has a direct effect on the productivity of the employee.
Reset when Angry
It is not easy to stay calm when things get chaotic at work. At times like that it is our individual responsibility to take charge of our own anger. Emerson said it best, “for every minute you remain angry, you give up sixty seconds of peace of mind.” However, it is not only your peace of mind which gets affected, but also of those around you. When you are angry, even the smallest of errors can provoke unnecessarily exaggerated reactions – which you may regret later. More importantly, your reaction might pull someone down in a way you may not even have imagined.
Every time you feel angry and find that the anger is about to be directed at someone, reset. What does reset mean? It means go away from the issue, do something that brings you back to normal, and then look at the issue again. Allow a cooling period before you react or respond. If all us could put this into practice in our daily lives, and in the world of work, it would indeed be a much better world. While we can’t claim responsibility for everyone, we can at least do so for ourselves.
Smile
You would be surprised how therapeutic a smile can feel for someone who’s having a tough day. That one tiny gesture can make a world of difference in just saying, “it’ll all be alright”, or “it is going to be alright.” They don’t lie when they say, ‘you never know how your smile can brighten up someone’s day.’

“Bring your coworker a cup of coffee when she looks like she needs a pick-me-up.
Share your mid-afternoon snack with him or if you don’t want to share, bring an extra one (everyone gets hungry a couple of hours after lunch).
Buy your coworker her favorite iced cold beverage on the first warm day of the year.
Offer to stay at work late or come in early to help a coworker with a difficult project (don’t wait to be asked).
Praise him for a job well done. No one can get too many compliments.
If you see someone is about to make a mistake, try to intervene to prevent it.
Offer unsolicited advice, especially to a new colleague who seems to be floundering.
Stop others from spreading a rumor about someone.
If you see something you know your colleague will absolutely love, a book about a topic in which he’s interested for example (nothing too extravagant), get it for him.
Include a less experienced colleague in a meeting or on a project that can help her grow.”
And these ones too!
“Invite him to join your lunch group especially if he doesn’t have many workplace friends.
Stop by her desk to say good morning.
Stop by his desk to say goodbye.
Hold the (otherwise unoccupied) elevator while your colleague runs back to her desk to get something she forgot even if you’re in a hurry to leave the building.
Praise her to the boss who may not realize how hard she’s working.
Offer to mentor an inexperienced coworker. Many people are too shy to ask or may not even think of it.”
We are often so caught up in our busy work lives that we forget people who work tirelessly, round the clock, putting in longer hours than us and surely receiving lesser incentives than us, to make our jobs easier. Some time ago, we wrote this post on Gratitude for People Around us At Work, and this post seems like a perfect reason to revisit it again.
Would we be able to spend a day at work without coffee? Doesn’t all hell break loose when there is no Wi-Fi even for a few minutes? The World of Work and the Game of Thrones Season Finale – A Takeaway

Season 7 of the series that broke the internet, Game of Thrones concluded recently. But here we are, thirsting for more and contemplating about what’s really going to happen. Who is finally going to lay claim to the Iron Throne and rule the seven kingdoms? Cersei? Jon Snow? Daenyrys? Or in a surprise twist, Tyrion? The White Walkers just might consume them all – this possibility cannot be ruled out either. Well, to find out about that we’ll really have to keep at making fan fiction while waiting for the final season of Game of Thrones to air next year. We love drawing parallels between stuff that causes a storm in popular media and the world of work. This post is one of those.
The Game of Thrones Season 7 finale had five specific instances we felt were very similar to situations in the world of work, and here they are.
When Jon Snow Said “…the same thing is coming for all of us.”, while appealing for a truce
What Jon Snow has been lobbying for, ever since he saw the wight walkers is for all the kingdoms to come together and fight the real enemy. Throughout this season, he has been seeing going against popular reasoning of his countrymen and making tough decisions – something that a leader would have to do from time to time. It brings to mind the role of a true leader in the world of work. One of the most important responsibilities of a leader is to bring together his entire team to unite them for a common cause – and at times, the team might very well consist of warring factions!
“…the more immediate problem is that we are f***ed” – Tyrion
Priorities, priorities, priorities. This one thing that Tyrion says, spells out the importance of priorities. True that at any given point of time there will be a hundred things to take care of. However, not knowing how to prioritize those tasks might just push you into a downward spiral. Or in the case of GOT, the Wight Walker’s swords.
Addressing what needs to be addressed immediately, and proceeding according to priorities is what makes things at work infinitely smoother.

Formidable partnerships bring forth magic. The fans are waiting with bated breath to know how the partnership of Daenyrys and Jon Snow is going to turn things around. Leaving the fact aside that the partnership is an incestuous one (in their defense, they don’t know yet! or do they?), it cannot be denied that it is a formidable one!
It is no different in the world of work. A good team or a good partnership can truly create magic and set a strong example. Because, together, they would be difficult to defeat.

‘You are who you are.’ Jon Snow couldn’t have resolved Theon’s existential angst in a better way. At times we are conflicted with ourselves, for whatever reason, but it also affects our productivity in the world of work. Embracing whoever we are, flaws and all, is what helps us get closer to being a true person. None of us are perfect, and no matter how hard we try, we cannot be perfect. Because we aren’t meant to be. Bringing who we are, bring our own selves to whatever we do helps us be a little better than who we were yesterday. Which is better than being perfect!

Better late than never. Up until now, fans had been wondering how on earth could Sansa have been so stupid? But she has proven all of us wrong. There’s a lesson for all of us inhabitants of the world of work in there – to never underestimate anyone, no matter how stupid they may seem. What Sansa said is also personal motivation for all os us. We all may have our individual paces of learning, but what’s more important is to never give up. To learn slowly, but surely!

Aligning Personal and Professional Goals

Aligning your personal goals, with your professional goals is a remarkable way of achieving more in everything you do. Introducing this into your mode of working brings about not only professional satisfaction, but also a genuine sense of productivity in your day-to-day life. You realize that you are doing not just what you are ‘supposed’ to do, but also what you ‘want’ to do.
At times our personal and professional goals may be compatible, however, at time they may be extremely diverse by themselves. Regardless, it is possible to achieve the balance, and here is how –
1.Having a clear idea of your organisational goals
The first thing to do, before you can achieve a parallel between the organisational and personal goals, is knowing with utmost clarity what the organisational goals are. To set your own goal framework, you need to have a sound knowledge of what the larger organisational objectives are. In order to do this, you can revisit the definition of your role and the expectations from the same. It is also important to pay due attention to this fundamental step because unless your professional goals are met, it will be difficult for you to balance your personal goals.
2. Knowing what you want from the organisation
Besides having a clear idea of the organisational goals, and what the organisation expects from you, it is equally important to have your set of expectations from the organisation. Having this parameter in place is a crucial way to check the growth you envisioned for yourself, versus the actual growth you experience. This gives you a reality check every time you need it. As is only fair, you must keep reminding yourself of your objectives and reasons when you joined this organisation. This reminder serves as a way to map your path for the present and the future.
3. Building Focus
Focus is the one thing that is in extremely short supply in the present times, thanks to the myriad distractions all around us. To be able to maximize our potential in whatever we choose to do, we need to sustain our focus on one thing at a time. Building focus comes only with practice. Mostly by building an awareness of when your focus drifts, and bringing it back to where it should be.
4. Prioritizing
Not all things that are there on your to-do lists demand the same amount of priority. Understanding your priorities and building a habit of delivering accordingly is a prerequisite towards achieving compatibility between your personal and professional goals. At times your personal goals may be the priority and it is important to recognize this and act upon it. A lack of prioritization leads to an imbalance which will affect both your personal and professional growth.
5. Being Decisive
While being able to align personal and professional goals is indeed an achievement, it does not come easy. To be able to achieve this, you may have to make some tough, but important decisions along the way. Recognizing the need for this and acting upon it is not easy, but essential. Goals are dynamic, they keep changing as you grow and with the varied work-life experiences you have. Recognizing the need for change, and acting on bringing it about by being decisive is a very important factor for growth.
Aligning your personal goals with professional goals provide you direction and you begin to understand what your work is worth, and how your performance affects the organisation. This gives you a benchmark to reach the optimal level of satisfaction when it comes to achieving your goals. One of the most important advantages of aligning these goals with each other, is making your expectations from yourself (and the organization’s expectations from you) visible.

Internships form a really important part of our pre-world of work days. No one can dispute this fact. It is true that internships give one a taste of what it would feel like to work full-time in the chosen sphere, and help you make your mind up about whether or not you would want to pursue the particular stream. Despite all its advantages and benefits (even the most irrelevant things come in handy, in retrospect!) an internship can be a comical affair. and here are five ways how –
The most important task of your internship may be to copy pasteYou may be an intern in the Ministry of External and Foreign Affairs, and yet feel like a silly goose there. Looking back to the day of your interview, which may have felt like the most important day of your life, you might wonder how flawed your expectations were. As interns we all make the mistake of assuming or hoping that we will be entrusted with really important work. A month (or several of them) may pass by and you realize all you’ve done is copy paste / re-type documents. But hey! Perk up, because only an intern would have access to these documents, and hence a cart load of learning material!
You could be the minion – and you can’t do anything about itCoffee and running other errands for your superiors may form a significant portion of your day. And you can’t do anything about it. No, we won’t say that there is anything inspirational about this. Neither are there any pearls of wisdom to share about this. Its just funny. Because its true.
The unavoidable existential angstIn the journey of your internship, at least once (if not more!) you will be gripped by a terrible existential angst. You will ask yourself questions like “what am I even doing here?”, “will I ever get a real job?”, “will I ever be as good as these people?”. It’s funny because you are going to look back at those moments and realize you were being silly. Well, maybe we are wrong in calling those moments silly, because these are the moments when perhaps you come to terms with certain unsettling facts, and questions. These moments build up towards other important life decisions and choices. So, while we can’t say enjoy it while it lasts, what we can say is, this too shall pass.
Money? What money? It is the experience that countsHa ha. This is by far the funniest thing that happens to an intern. You realize most (if not all) of your pocket money gets depleted in trying to ‘afford’ the internship – because you don’t get paid. And hence, you have to take care of the travel and your lunches, and the get-togethers (your ‘colleagues’ will probably invite you so you don’t feel left out) you most definitely cannot afford. And when you pop the question about whether the internship will pay you, at the interview, you are most likely to receive a poised and sophisticated answer like “no, but we will offer you unparalleled experience.” Okay, then.
When you “pretend” to be busy and get caughtFew things can be as embarrassing as the CEO (or a superior) walking in on your screen while you are shopping on Amazon (lets hope that’s the most embarrassing it gets!). As an intern, there is only so much work you will have. Then again, as an intern, you most definitely cannot leave before time. So to be fair, you might have been just killing time; but for ages to come you will love with the guilt of coming across as a slacker. But hopefully you will look back and laugh at it, because it is funny!
