Who says Airport leisure is only meant for long haul flights. And may be that is why Singapore Changi has continuously been ranked the no.1 in the world for the past 7 years. It was our goto place to suppress those post midnight hunger pangs and the Enchanted garden was my go to point which use to glide me to a completely different space. The Enchanted Garden was the first interactive-immersive garden among Changi Airport‟s stable of gardens, where passengers could stroll through a tranquil and soothing sanctuary, complete with the sights and sounds of a magical forest. Evoking a Shangri-La-like atmosphere, the centrepiece of the garden comprises four giant glass bouquet sculptures, carefully decorated with a mosaic of reflective and shimmering stained-glass. Nestled within these glass bouquets were a dazzling variety of freshly-cut flowers and soft ferns. The garden was an interactive and immersive experience that magically comes to life with sight and sound, captivating visitors as they weave through the garden. Motion sensors triggered sounds of nature and blooming flowers while fibre-optic and LED lighting, embedded in the flooring, formed a fascinating carpet of sparkling lights. . The Enchanted Garden also features undulating pathways and a fish pond, providing passengers with some respite from the hustle and bustle of air travel. Whenever we see the control tower, we know we are one step closer to our vacation! Besides playing the role of a vital air-traffic control unit, it has also become a key icon representing Changi Airport for many locals. The Singapore Changi Airport officially opened in 1981 and has always maintained high standards, winning many awards and owning the title as one of the best airports in the world. With Terminal 5 on it’s way, CAAS also announced plans for a second control tower to support future operations.
