                       New Tires for my New Mountain Bike

I just put on my new tires on my new mountain bike.

The bike is a Polygon Siskiu D5. I bought it from Bikes Online and I have to say that they were a joy to do business with. The shipping was quick and the package was perfectly arranged. I don’t believe I could get a better bike for the money. I’m very happy with it!

The old 2.25 spiderbait tires were more of a mtb/gravel combo, so I bought some new Maxxis trail/enduro exo tires. A 2.5 Aggressor for the rear and a 2.4 Minion DHR II for the front. They are boost tires (over sized). I also converted the tires from tube to tubeless.

I changed the pedals. The originals were fairly poor quality. I guess some who bought this bike didn’t care for the handle bar because it is larger than usual, but after taking it out on some trails I found that the large handle bar gives you more control. I like it!

Nggak bermaksud shaming ke kota tertentu sih 😂 Ngelihat kelakuan orang Jakarta yang sepedahan menuhin jalan dan sakkarepe dhewe banget, wa jadi mikir se-toxic itu kah kehidupan ibu kota?

Ada temen di Jakarta yang sempet curhat kalo sepedahan itu mestinya jadi hobi aja. Bukan saingan. Gue nanya ke dia:

"Saingan gimana?"

"Ada orang yang sepedanya mahal-mahal dan sok eksklusif gitu"

Agak gegar budaya sih pas denger. Di tempat gue, orang pake sepeda gunung dengan harga bervariasi dari murah sampe menengah. Ada yang sejutaan. Ada juga yang di atas sepuluh juta. Meskipun ya ga mahal banget sih. Mentok ya Polygon Siskiu. Orang kampung mah yang penting guyub. Yang dibahas di grup paling jalur sepeda baru sama warung-warung makan yang enak buat ngaso. Soalnya daerah Pacet sama Trawas ternyata punya banyak jalur buat dieksplore. Selain itu, sepedahan tuh capek. Selalu butuh ngaso dan makan enak 😆 Nggak faham kenapa di kota besar, hobi yang nyenengin gini jadi ajang saingan plus rese banget makan jalan.
