one thing that irks me is that kc hasnt actually *shown* us anything from the new website (to my knowledge). we're just supposed to take her word for it and hope it's not bad. im confused as to how we've gone ~5 months without even a SINGLE screenshot
sure, the new features SOUND cool, but... how do they work? how do they look? thats what i want to know!! plus, she'll probably get better feedback and suggestions if kit actually shows us what she's doing!!
and if kits worried about leaking v5. kit doesnt have to. like.. im pretty sure ALL of the new stuff could be demonstrated on some random page from v1,,
also.. if kits doing this on PURPOSE to. like. raise suspense or some shit. thats just fuckin stupid
from what i know, anon, pictures of the new website are exclusively on the patreon, with the text of how it all works being public (and in the "site revamp devlog" tag)! also from what i know, kittycorn isn't just making the website and then releasing it without any feedback - kit's been actively taking suggestions from asks on the tumblr, and i'm sure patreon users are able to suggest changes, too! it would be weird if they couldn't, considering they're getting the actual pictures. i know it's disappointing for the website look to be locked behind a paywall, but kittycorn has also said that there's going to be a questions/suggestions feature on the site once it's live, too!
"New page reserved for bug reports: I've created a page where people can comment problems or bugs they have with the new site or general site feedback/suggestions. This comment section will also be pre-moderated like the other special pages, but you'll receive an email once a moderator replies to your report. Common/important issue reports/suggestions/feedback with their responses will be pinned for easy access."
so it's not all bad, don't worry. it's just going to take time. would it be more efficient for kittycorn to show us the website now? yeah, probably. but at least suggestions are being taken into account at all.

REGLITCHED Short Devlog: Late January 2024 (Happy Birthday, FNaF World!)
It's been a very LONG while since I last used this site (last time I used it was when I was working on an original game that got nowhere) but I should probably get back into it again so that there's more variety in the amount of people looking at my current project: "FNaF World REGLITCHED," which I've been working on for nearly a year now.
Just click here for the GameJolt Page or you can follow me here and I'll try to post the same day. They'll be reprised of the same information I use from GameJolt.
OH, and the music is done by Matson, which is also on the game's page for anyone that wants to take a listen to it!
Short Synopsis
Plans for development this year (such as the fighting abilities, models, shops, and hopefully bug testing for the demo)
What's currently been done:
ENTIRELY Reworked Customization Menu (allowing to be a little bit more understandable and accessible)
You can create up to 1000 save files AND 1000 presets for your teams and your games (long are the days of only 3 save files and 7 presets to choose from)
The game's current size is nearly just under the size FNaF World's size is (FNaF World is 330 MB, REGLITCHED currently is 320 MB).
Continue reading to get the full synopsis of the devlog!
Long Synopsis
I wanted to start off 2024 by revamping a lot of the scripting we've made for the game in terms of Saves, Presets, and UI. As a lot of people could see, the Old Customization menu is on it's death bed and many people would say it's trying to be too much of both, FNaF World AND UCN.
You can see the glaring problems of this old customization menu, examples being:
Old Renders
Confusing Controller Button Layouts with descriptions
Too much information crammed into the screen
An overall, just a complete mess of spaghetti code that shouldn't be that way

So this is the new customization menu, much more refined and allows characters you haven't collected yet to be on screen when you collect them. Plus, NO PAGES! It's all a scroll away (for controller users, the scroll will continue onto your focus so you have no worries about it. It also looks amazingly clean in 1080p!

Bumpers determines if you want to change your characters, chips, or bytes with each screen and is saved flawlessly.
As for triggers? When you select your character, you can look between their attacks and read the descriptions and their damage.
I think this change was necessary and the fact it works as beautifully as it does is amazing. So much so that it's inspired me to want to update and start working on the menu AND settings as well.
---------------
I currently have plans for the development of the game moving forward, I'm not too sure if the fishing minigame will make it in during the progress but I'm hoping to get many of the hurdles that people will be wanting in the game to be fully accessable and, at the very least, playable and workable with both, keyboard+mouse and the controller. I'm trying to be as transparent as possible when thinking about the development for the game and how we'll be able to make it to the demo showcase. Here's what I'm thinking on each quarter:
2024 QUARTER 1- half of 2:
Fully reworking Main Menu and Pause Menu UI, A settings menu (filled with settings for windowed/fullscreen, sizes for those screens, and remapping controls [I hope to god it works]), the Store UI, and the dialogue scenes
This is so that many of the art during the time I'm working on this, could be finished and can be worked on later on for some of the attacks. ALSO this allows me to test controllers more often and rework some of the controller button images and make keyboard/mouse ones as well
2024 QUARTER 2 + 3 (if it gets worse, it'll probably be the rest of the year):
More Character Models, Fight Abilities/Short Minigames/Bosses, More Visual Stuff, etc.
I want to get more characters done and modeled for the game. Hopefully getting up to characters all the way up to the second row of the OG or half of the third row. This is so that we have a ton more to work with and more to animate with, I'm going to be finding more animators helping out with them if we're going to need them during that time but I believe thats for Chip and I to decide on how the progress for the game at that point will go along.
2024 QUARTER 4 (or if it gets to that point 2025 QUARTER 1-2):
Doing some cleaning work/finished up details and polishing for the demo version of the game.
This is the point where we're having everything finished up and ready to go for QA people to playtest the demo for and hope everything is up to standard (the highest of highs). I do want to make sure that people actually enjoy and give their feedback about the game we're giving to them and see if they'll enjoy the final product when we get around to it.
Of course this whole entire list of quarters is most likely going to change depending on how bad the progress becomes or if we're too late to meet these goals. I am hoping this time that we actually get the demo out at SUPER Late 2025 or early 2026, just so that we don't have expectations too high.
Hope for you all to follow the progress of the game as it continues!

selocon already minimods and the site would be worse if they got mod powers lol - also the albinos are ugly ofc so i cant wait for more bitching about "consistency" by the art staff for why they can't make nice color palettes.
when it comes to people complaining they probably see it as a "vocal minority" if that makes sense
and they don't really have a reason to follow some formula that makes most pokemon look bad and ugly, but they also dont care about what people say
this isnt entirely related but im not actually sure how someone saying "you should make the wings blue on the revamp" (for example) makes it so they cant because... theyre recoloring fucking pokemon
they should hire selocon to be the guy who updates the devlogs for transparency

Devlog #7
Stockpiles and Combat this week. UI Revamp and Repopulation next week.
This Week
This week we made stockpiles and combat! Stockpiles allow you to specify item quotas and assign workers to routinely refill those quotas. By using these you can move and organize the resources you collect. For example, you can now set up a forester, have some guys chopping trees at it, and then set up a a stockpile, and have them source logs. At this point you’ll have a pretty slick little system for yourself - guys running this way and that, chopping trees, planting saplings, running back and forth from storage buildings transferring your work product. Say now you want to build a house, you can pop a construction site down, and any builders can use the stockpile to source construction materials. You can imagine how buying and selling will even further propel this “resource flow” aspect of the game. Towns will be bustling with people making this and that, buying, selling, moving, building, and so on.
Now onto what everyone wants to hear - By the way our weekly goal was just storage, so this is all ahead of schedule - nice! YOU CAN FIGHT AND KILL. The little sphere dudes go at it, hitting back and forth, bunch of randomizers, and eventually, one dies. They are equipped to auto target hostile families, and call for aid from their own. You can imagine one guy hits someone, and then everyone starts to brawl each other. In addition they have the ability to attack and destroy buildings at your command. Essentially, you can invade and raise someones city now.
Next Week
Now the reflection. Yes - all of this stuff is done. Is it polished yet? No, not really. Over the next week we really are going to work on UI stuff that will make play easier, smoother, and more polished. On the other side of the code, we are running into lots of big decisions on the spatialOS side that require real thought, time, and little “visible” results. That being said, we’re ahead of schedule, and everything’s coming together nicely. We’re working specifically on new selection UI, overhead health bars and name tags, and repopulation using houses. Our theory is with repop and combat, everything becomes an interesting decision. It goes from “oh nice I can get wood” to “do I get wood or food, do I scout or build, where should I settle.” Only playing the game itself will tell - if all goes well, we may know by this time next week.

first post-launch "update" that isn't a bug fix, the series 1 option on the "read" dropdown now gives you a list of all the volumes instead of sending you straight to volume 1 so there's less clicking and it's easier to get to the one you want

This is just a reminder to everyone who regularly leaves comments on the site/intends to use the new FAQ comment section that missed the original discussion of it earlier this year, you'll be using a different comment service than Disqus but it's a way better one that doesn't have the weird NSFW ads and is just generally better overall.
Unfortunately, the old original site comments will no longer be accessible. I have no way to fix the issue due to the fact the foundation of the original site was just too broken to salvage but think of it like a refresher for everyone :] If you wanna comment on old volumes and leave your mark for future readers you'll have the option!
As for the other areas of the site with comments:
The CW masterlist page has a comment section that allows readers without Tumblr to ask questions about content warnings (for example, asking if something will ever be in the comic OR asking what category a specific thing would go under).
The CW suggestions page which gives readers the ability to suggest content warnings for specific pages (or entirely new categories if there's something major I overlooked) that may be needing them or even missing them in error.
The Lore page FAQ which allows readers without Tumblr to ask questions about Spinch worldbuilding or even make suggestions for new lore sections
Bug reports page, where you can report issues you're having with the site or give feedback or even make suggestions for ways I could improve the site.
On all of the above, particularly important questions will be featured at the top of the comment section for easy access.
As a note, to use these pages you will need an account on the new comment service but it's a very easy sign up and can be done in a few minutes. It is free! (For you guys lol, I have to pay for it)
Thank you everyone for your understanding and continued support of the comic! 💕
