Abrogate strikes me as the type of person to have used his childrens' given names against them.
#skulduggery pleasant book series#skulduggery pleasant#Abrogate Raze#tying this in with my hc on Skulduggery taking ages to pick a taken name cause Abrogate bullied him about his choices#i think the reason he cared so much was cause he was a control freak and wanted to be able to use their given names as long as possible#i think his children all got different degrees of this treatment but from what we've seen i deffo think Skulduggery had it the worst#i also think one of the reasons that he got it the worst was cause his mum didnt pay much attention due to him having an aptitude for#necromancy and his mum's history with that discipline made her resent him just a little bit#I am just beating this poor nan with a stick at this point but i feel like this all makes sense based on what we've been given#tbf i get the vibe that Fransic was right behind him in terms of having his given name used against him by Abrogate

about to reread the skulduggery pleasant books (i needed something light and fun) and omg i'm kinda nervous, i haven't reread them since my late teens/early 20s and now i'm... an extremely different person and, i hope, a somehow better reader. i suppose i'm afraid i won't find them a delight as much as i used to and "ruin" my memories of a few beloved characters. i'll keep you all updated if anyone is interested (which i heavily doubt lmao)
