Your voice failed you AU is an oc AU were my oc Thom takes the role of Dr Kel from Voices of the Void. He does the same job, finding signals and doing reports. However, long before he got the job, he got an encounter with something away from his understanding, the thing that he found didnt want anyone to know, so it grabbed him and with unknown tecnology, damaged his vocal cords, making him just be able to make low broken sounds. He was muted. The alien was Tielo, a Rotizol who came there with a mission, and no way he was letting a human scream and anounce were it was. After this incident, Thom lived a life with many dificulties, but a desire for anwers. Againts his sister's wishes he started to study his way to a job, a job that gives him a chance to be at his own and find his anwsers. Many people reported weird stuff going on in that station, so maybe...

During his time there, the job was harder that expected. The place was a mess, he had to constanly move place to place, work under pressure and the weird happenings were real. Still, he worked hard for his anwsers, he found patterns for his day to day, he got used to were every sattelite and its possisions, got better at fixing servers.

It got better, but still wasnt the best, that was until he started to get pranked. Firts was a catapult with an alien skupture, then carboard cut outs of other alien desings being placed in darkness and fooling him. Then it happened, he found full proof in front of his eyes, that there were aliens in the world and just making a simple picnic.

It was so stupid, so silly, so impossible to see two ships in front of him only to have a picnic below and yet... seeing that made him open his eyes more. Thats not something the thing from years ago would do, and its not like he can report an alien picnic. So, he chose exploration on who these creatures were, giving away one of his MRE's as a friendly sing.

Little did he know that this action would trigger a series of events that would give him an actual companion in a job meant to be done alone.

Vilken skola gick du på för att lära dig animation och illustration? :D skulle du rekomendera den kursen/programmet eller skulle du rekommendera en annan?

Det beror på vilken nivå vi pratar, men såhär:

Gymnasiet gick jag matte och fysik inriktining, så, inte konstnärligt.

Sedan tog jag ett år folkhögskola av generell konst på Lunnevad, för att känna om bild är vad jag ville göra och bygga portfolio. Jag testade allt från keramik, tryck, oljemålning, skuptur, teckning etc. Jag rekommenderar Lunnevad starkt, jag fick en bra grund som hjälpte senare när jag kom in på.....

....The Animation Workshop i Viborg, Danmark. Jag skulle säga att de är en av de bästa animationsutbildningarna i Europa, och den enda där jag kunde ha lärt mig traditionell 2d animation (man lär sig också CG animation men det är inte min grej). Gobelin hade vid min ansökningstid ingen utbildning på engelska, bara franska, men jag tror det har ändrats nu! Jag rekommenderar TAW, även om jag bara varit examinerad i ett par veckor, det har känts bra.

Constant Displacement: Pierre Huyghe on His Work at Skulptur Projekte Münster

About three years ago, discussing what he planned next for his practice, Pierre Huyghe told me that he was on the hunt for a place “to grow the work to the condition I want it to grow,” perhaps a stretch of land or an old building, somewhere maybe a bit off the beaten path. “The museum is a place of separation, in a certain way, and I need a place of continuity,” he said. “That’s why I need that site—whatever that site is.”

While touring possible locations for his contribution to the 2017 Skuptur Projekte in Münster, Germany, late last year, the 54-year-old French artist found one such site, a sprawling, old ice-skating rink, no longer in use, tucked behind a Burger King on the edge of town. “This place will be destroyed, so I could actually act on it as I wanted,” he said, recalling what attracted him to the space in a Skype call from Brooklyn last week.

Huyghe has transformed that abandoned rink into one of the most formidable and mysterious artworks that I have ever seen, an alien environment that seems secretly to teem with life and that operates according to its own furtive schedule. The concrete floor of the rink has been sliced apart and the ground dug up so that visitors can descend along clay pathways that are interrupted by pools of water harboring algae. Just when you begin to get your bearings, a buzzing sound emanates from up above and sleek panels glide open from the otherwise decrepit ceiling, exposing the room to the elements. When I visited on the opening day of the exhibition earlier this month it was raining and water fell quietly into the hulking hall, wetting the paths and trickling into the pools.

At the center of the space, up on a cement platform, is an aquarium with glass that can shift from clear to black. It contains a venomous sea snail, a conus textile, which sports a shell with an intricate pattern that is an example of cellular automata. That organism is tiny, but it plays a key role in the exhibition. “We scanned the shell, which is made out of small or larger kind of triangle shapes, and that became the score that either opens or switches off the glass,” Huyghe said. That pattern also generates sound and, “as the glass switches on or off, it triggers the opening or closing of the pyramids that are on the ceiling.”

There are other systems humming away in the piece, though they are even more elusive. An incubator holds cancer cells whose rate of growth is determined by various measurements that sensors are taking of the space, which is also home to chimera peacocks and bees (though I have to admit that I saw neither during my visit). As the cancer cells change, they guide the behavior of black shapes that appear in an augmented reality app that visitors can download onto their phones. “What you have there is really a network of self-organizing systems,” Huyghe said. “They are in constant displacement. They grow, they evolve, they shift. There’s no master-slave in that regard. They shift constantly.”

Titled After ALife Ahead (2017), it is an artwork that is slowly spiraling into something else, moving away from its creator, and only giving off little glimpses of its operations as it evolves. Through October 1, when Skulptur Projekte closes, rain will keep flowing in, the algae will still grow, and the landscape will continue to change. There’s no telling what it will look like at the end. “I’m interested in letting, in a certain way, self-organizing systems try either to find or to not find a symbiosis,” Huyghe said. “I try my best not to intervene within it.”

The aquarium

At its most piquant moments, Huyghe’s work thrives on the friction that results from the interaction of planned systems and the aleatoric actions that can occur within them once they are allowed to function. He talks about making work that is “indifferent to the public.” His work sidelines you, making you feel you are just one component of a much larger, perhaps unknowable, constellation of people and things and forces—which, of course, you are. It is a disorienting, even sublime world, and strange things are afoot there.

Though the rough-and-tumble ground in the rink looks at a glance like a wild, unplanned dig, it was carefully orchestrated by Huyghe. “I didn’t want simply to blow up—or to destroy—the floor,” he said. “I wanted to find another way to approach that digging, neither construction site nor simple archaeological hole.” Inspired in part by a retro-futuristic grid on the rink’s ceiling, he took the Stomachion logic puzzle invented by Archimedes, which involves cutting up a square into a tangram, and overlaid it onto the floor to create a new grid. “So then a person with this giant blade would cut the concrete exactly according to the system of that thought,” he said.

This was not, to sure, an inexpensive endeavor. Speaking about the ambition of the project recently, Kasper König, Skulptur Projekte’s artistic director, quipped that its cost may have exceeded €1 million, but Huyghe said that was not quite the case. “I love when numbers blow up,” he said good-naturedly. “The project was less than that. But it was quite a big number. It was maybe around €700,000 or €800,000,” or about $783,000 to $895,000. While artists in Skulptur Projekte Münster reportedly receive a budget of around €35,000 toward their work, Huyghe’s galleries helped foot the rest of the bill, and he emphasized this was not a money-making affair for them.

After October 1, the aquarium, the living organisms, and the other equipment will be removed, and the ice skating rink will be destroyed. Following only about 100 days of being public, the display will cease to exist. Bemoaning this and mentioning all the work that had gone into creating After ALife Ahead, I suggested to Huyghe that it should be made permanent, an artwork morphing and growing for the rest of the time in Münster, but he demurred, and spoke about its short lifespan in terms that were almost philosophical. “It was the condition—there was an occasion—that was part of the rule,” he said, cutting himself off. “I mean, that person had that place, and he said, ‘You can do whatever you want with it because I’m going to destroy that place, so you choose.’

“So I decided to do that,” he continued. “Which, to a certain extent, yeah, it’s a pity, but also there’s something quite interesting in that.”

„Der Werkstoff gehört zu unserer Stadt. Überhaupt: die geraden Strukturen und die amorphe Anmutung passen gut zu uns und unserer Region“, erklärte Thomas Diederichs, Vorstandssprecher der Volksbank Rhein-Ruhr eG, bei der Enthüllung. Die Skulptur besteht aus Edelstahl-Linsen mit Durchmessern zwischen 1,50 und 2,30 Metern. Die Oberflächen sind glasgestrahlt, die raue Struktur absorbiert Sonnenstrahlen. „Wenn man eingeladen wird, einen Ort zu gestalten, reicht es nicht, sich den Ort anzusehen“, erklärte der Düsseldorfer Bildhauer Thomas Schönauer (*1953), der international tätig ist und dessen Werke man nicht nur in Duisburg und der Region, sondern weltweit – teils auch im öffentlichen Raum – findet. „Stimmung und Schwingungen des Ortes zu erfassen, ist fast noch wichtiger“, so der Künstler. Er habe auch schon einmal eine Arbeit abgelehnt, weil ihn der Ort nicht inspiriert habe. Rund, geschlossen und nach oben gestreckt setzt die Skulptur aus einer hochwertige Stahl-Legierung Signale an diesem aufstrebendem Ort, der über Duisburg hinaus als Musterbeispiel positiver Entwicklung gilt.

Vor der Zentrale der Volksbank Rhein-Ruhr enthüllten Vorstandssprecher Thomas Diederichs, Oberbürgermeister Sören Link und der Bildhauer Thomas Schönauer den „Cultivator“. Die Skulptur des Künstlers steht in Duisburgs Tradition von Kunst im öffentlichen Raum. „Sie geht über die Brunnenmeile auf der Königstraße und den Kantpark weit hinaus“, betonte Oberbürgermeister Sören Link. Am Innenhafen steht das Kunstwerk auf jeden Fall öffentlichkeitswirksam – und in bester Gesellschaft: Auf der anderen Seite des Hafenbeckens steht vor der Spaeter-Verwaltung die aus Cortenstahl gefertigte Bogen-Skulptur von Bernar Venet*: Auf der anderen Straßenseite zieht sich der Garten der Erinnerungen von Dani Karavan am Hafenbecken entlang nach Westen. Und am Ende des Hafenbeckens im Osten steht das MKM Museum Küppersmühle für Moderne Kunst mit der Sammlung des Darmstädter Ehepaars Ströher.

Die regionale Genossenschaftsbank sehe die Errichtung des neuen Kunstwerkes als klares Bekenntnis zum Standort Duisburg und der Region, so Bankvorstand Diederichs. Nach dem Kauf der ehemaligen Alltours-Verwaltung 2014**, Umbau und Modernisierung waren die Banker 2016 in den Duisburger Innenhafen gezogen. „Wir hatten versucht, den Brunnen an dieser Stelle wieder in Betrieb zu nehmen“, erzählte Diederichs. Dies sei nicht gelungen, so dass man sich in Vorstand und Aufsichtsrat anderweitig Gedanken gemacht hatte. „Als sich herauskristallisierte, dass wir hier ein Kunstwerk installieren wollten, vermittelte Dr. Martin Fasselt den Kontakt zum Künstler“, so Diederichs. Er bedauerte, dass der Ende letzten Jahres verstorbene Wirtschaftsprüfer, Rechtsanwalt und Steuerberater, der auch im Aufsichtsrat der Bank tätig war, diesen Tag nicht mehr erleben durfte.

Das Bekenntnis zum Standort betonte der Bankenchef ebenso wie das Unternehmensleitbild als Grundpfeiler des Handelns, weswegen sich die Bank in der Region vielfältig sozial engagiere. Allein mit Hilfe des Online-Spendenportals, dem Förderprogramm Rhein-Ruhr, vergibt die Genossenschaftsbank jährlich 92.000 Euro für kulturelle und soziale Projekte in der Region. Insgesamt sind es Spenden und Sponsorings in Höhe von rund 500.000 Euro, die auch mit Hilfe der Volksbank Rhein-Ruhr Stiftung zielgerichtet in die Region gespendet werden. Ein Engagement, welches auch Oberbürgermeister Link in seiner Rede hervorhob. „Wir sind begeistert, hier zu sein“, betonte der Bankvorstand mit Augenmerk auf die Location. Gleich der Skulptur fest im Duisburger Boden verankert.

Nissan GT-R50 ITALDESIGN

Nissan GT-R bukan sahaja merupakan supercar kebanggaan Nissan, malah ia mewakili Jepun secara keseluruhan. Dalam tak sedar, kereta sukan paling maju di eranya ini telah memasuki usia 10 tahun. Dengan pelbagai versi dan penambahbaikan yang dibuat, Nissan sedar, sudah sampai masanya GT-R mendapat pengganti yang baru.

Menarik tentang projek GT-R50 ialah projek sambutan ulangtahun Nissan GT-R pada 2019 dan ulangtahun Italdesign pada tahun ini.

Satu lagi perkara menarik ialah memang sudah menjadi kelaziman pada zaman kebangkitan kereta Jepun apabila pengeluarnya mengupah firma Itali bagi merekabentuk kereta-kereta supaya ada sifat global.

Untuk projek GT-R50, kedua-dua Nissan dan Italdesign duduk bersama bagi menterjemahkan konsep rekaan bersama.

Jika Nissan GT-R 35 melambangkan segala-galanya tentang Jepun terutama sekali reka bentuk yang dipengaruhi obsesi dengan robot, Gundam atau permainan video, GT-R50 pula adalah adunan falsafah Jepun dengan flair gayaan Itali.

Jika GT-R 35 nampak ‘setongkol’ dan maskulin, GT-R50 nampak anggun dan sensual sama seperti kereta super buatan Itali lain.

Itu yang disaksikan oleh pengunjung Goodwood Festival of Speed pada hujung minggu lalu apabila Nissan GT-R50 by Italdesign ditayangkan di khalayak ramai buat kali pertama.

Pada festival tersebut, GT-R50 bukan hanya dipamerkan secara statik tetapi dipandu oleh pelumba Nissan GT3 iaitu Lucas Ordóñez dan Alex Buncombe di litar Goodwood pada jarak 1.86km.

Video pemanduan tersebut juga tular di media sosial dan ia begitu mengujakan skuptur seni yang sedang bergerak.

Memandangkan ia sebuah Nissan, bunyi ekzosnya masih GT-R dan bukan kuda Itali Ferrari atau lembu Lamborghini.

Tetapi ia masih menarik dan seperti yang kami laporkan sebelum ini, Nissan sekali lagi memaklumkan tentang kemungkinan untuk menghasilkan model seumpamanya dalam unit terhad.

Memandangkan ini adalah projek kerjasama dengan firma Itali, Nissan memaklumkan jika GT-R50 dibina, ia akan dihasilkan dengan tangan.

Apabila kejuruteraan bertemu seni, inilah hasilnya!

Die Realität ist strapazierfähig

Vor dem Rewe-Markt steht ein steinernes Wegkreuz. Da ich selten in diesen Rewe-Markt gehe, den sonst nur Ortsansässige frequentieren, schwerhüftige Hausfrauen, Rentner mit geregeltem Einkommen, bleibe ich stehen und lese die Inschrift.

1969 sei es erneuert worden, ein Kreuz ersetzend, das ursprünglich seit 1812 gleich gegenüber gestanden habe. Diese erste Skuptur sei zum Andenken an einen Bauern gesetzt worden, den plündernde Russen in jenem Jahr erschlagen hätten.

Nun will ich nicht behaupten, es gäbe keine russischen Plünderer. Damals jedenfalls gab es sie sicher. Nur waren sie 1812 nicht in dieser Gegend der Weltgeschichte. Da kamen sie erst 1813 hin, die Plünderer und die anderen russischen Soldaten, damals, als die Befreiungskriege ausbrachen, von deutschen Soldaten, Bürgern, Arbeitern, Bauern, Studenten ausgebrochen wurden, denen die Generäle, die Grafen und Könige folgten.

Wenn also einer hier irgendwen erschlug, so besorgte das Erschlagen denn wohl eher ein französischer Soldat. Ich vermute mal, dass bei irgendeiner mehr oder freiwilligen Annäherung der Deutschen und Franzosen, vielleicht nach dem 1. Weltkrieg ihm eine Nationalität angehängt wurde, die als Feind zu betrachten sich nach der Oktoberrevolution beide Seiten einig waren.

Der menschliche Geist ist da flexibel und passt sich die Daten an, wenn sich die Realität ändert.

Entsprechend habe ich angesichts des nicht mehr vorhandenen Angebotes an jahresendzeitlichen Schokoladenhohlkörpern beschlossen, keinen Schoko-Nikolaus kaufen zu wollen. Ist ja wohl auch unterschwellig rassistisch.
