Some Star Wars verse headcanons
Jake is a former mandalorian soldier who fought during the Mandalorian Civil War and the Siege, possibly a member of the Death Watch who remained loyal to Bo-Katan;
During the Mandalorian Purge he got severely injured and nearly died, but managed to survive, although this cost him the movement of his legs since his spine got severely damaged and as a proud mandalorian, this completely crushed him as that meant he could no longer fight. He got rid of his old armor and went to live in a retirement home in Coruscant since the Empire took over.
During the first years of the Empire his brother Tom got involved in the Avatar program in Pandora along with the Kaminoans, who were doing research on the Planet after Kamino got destroyed by the Empire. Once Palpatine heard of Pandora and its strong connection to the Force, he was interested in exploring the planet's resources for his own reasons and sent a team there (the RDA but idk how i'd call them in this verse)
After Tom's death, the Kaminoans seeked Jake, his twin, to take his brother's place. As a “failed” mandalorian warrior with nothing else to lose, he accepted it and would soon be recruited by Quaritch, with a promisse to restore his legs if he agreed to join the Empire and help them in their mission. (then we all know what goes on later sjdggd)
i guess it's pretty much this for now, i may add in more details as i go but this is the general idea (oh and kiri is totally force-sensitive btw)

grace's death still weighs heavily on jake, even years after it. she was his mother figure and he misses her and her guidance so much. this is why he is so particularly close and protective of kiri, because he sees her as grace's legacy, as if eywa somehow saved a part of grace and transferred it to kiri ( which he is not wrong to think btw) kiri is his little miracle and he loves her dearly.

@corruptedforce asked:
Is your muse afraid of death? 2. What is your muse’s kill count?  3. What is your muse’s biggest fear?  4. How easy is it to anger your muse? (for Jake)
Angsty Character Questions:
Tumblr media
Is your muse afraid of death?
// Even if he says he isn't, there is still a part of him that fears it. But not for himself. He fears how his death is gonna affect the ones he loves, but mostly Neytiri, since she already lost too much and his death would just add to the list of people she lost and that would completely destroy her. He fears not being around for his children when they need him. He mostly fears the consequences his death would have on his family, but he wouldn't think twice about dying for them, as he values their lives above his own.
2. What is your muse’s kill count?
// it goes beyond the 300, i can't say for sure as i'm really bad at math, but Jake has been in a war. He was a marine while on Earth and even if he stayed as a marine for a short time since he was injured and paralyzed, I can say for sure his kill count is high. He has killed as a marine on Earth and has killed as Toruk Makto in the Pandoran war.
3. What is your muse’s biggest fear?
// He fears failling his family. Not being able to protect them, not being there for them whey need him. It's what makes him fear death. Before he wasn't afraid of dying because he had nothing to lose, he was even a bit self-destructive at times, but now the stakes are different. He also fears losing them. It's also why he goes back into military mode when the humans are back, his fear of losing them makes him go stricter on his kids and starting treating them as a squad. (which often makes people mistake him for a bad father, but he IS NOT, he is a flawed character and his fear leads him to make mistakes, it is a part of him)
4. How easy is it to anger your muse?
// Fairly easy, but he has learned to be more contained during his years as a father. But he used to be a hothead and a troublemaker since always. He has a strong sense of justice and can't stand seeing people suffering, like when he fought against a guy in a bar for harrassing a woman and he's always up for a fight. If you're Quaritch, you're instantly pissing him off.
