Today i have in front of me the three peaks of Lavaredo. they are three distinctive battlement-like peaks, in the Sexten Dolomites of northeastern Italy and are probably one of the best-known mountain groups in the Alps. I just received my gear from Edelkrone right on christmas. I have ordered the SliderPLUS v5 Long with Slide Module v3 and HeadPLUS. These are my first steps with the hardware.

I am happy with it so far. It`s nice to move in to positions by hand without programing it with a controller or so. There are some downsides like a jerk at the beginning of a motion in video mode. You have also be aware of an uneven horizon when sliding from left to right but this can maybe be solved by a more robust tripod. Sometimes you have also to readjust the tension of the Slide Module v3.

But in summary: I like it!

It is my hope that this film will contribute to a deeper understanding and gratitude of the natural wonders in our world and to the preservation of our fragile environment in the future.

All shots are made in 2017 were I had the pleasure to travel around Norway two times. First two weeks in May where I had the pleasure to experience the spectacular fruit blossom at the Hardangerfjord, the beautiful Sognefjellet and Hardangervidda covered in snow and the lakes Oldevatnet and Lovatnet with amazing still water. My second trip to Norway was in July where I had three interesting weeks visiting the colourful mountains in Rondane, the snowy mountains in Folgefonna and the deep blue fjord at Geiranger.

This is the third episode of our independent „A Taste of ...“ time lapse series. In September 2016 we visited this awesome city to try out some new time lapse stuff. It took us 10 days, a lot of burgers and one helicopter ride to produce this video. 10 days is very little time to discover this city of endless opportunities, so we hardly slept anything and shot day and night for this time lapse film. The city that never sleeps indeed!

The Taxishot: Over the 10 days we took photos of yellow cabs whenever we had time to from as many different angles as possible. So we gathered 2000 (!) photos in total we had to sort afterwards and compile to a hyperlapse around a cab in post production. It took us 5 whole days in post production to get this one shot.

Technical Details: In 10 days we shot 65.000 Photos taking up 2,6 TB of our hard drives. The final 3 minute video took 36h to render on the best equipped iMac available.
