Venture headcanon incoming!

Alright something's been brought to my attention while talking with a friend.

^This little rock eating shit is 26, but for anyone that didn't know they joined the Wayfinders at 16!!

This is an odd age to do that, as it's a dangerous job and also generally speaking you need a degree in anthropology to be an archaeologist. Which a 16 year old would LIKELY not have.

This means a few things actually.

1. There's a probability that Sloan was legally emancipated at 16 and lived on their own. They never mention parents or family besides their grandma who we know from a voice line lives in Mexico- whereas Sloan grew up in Canada so that eliminates her as a guardian for them.

This could mean Sloan's parents are dead, or unfortunately disowned them for some reason (we all know the reason). And were taken in and essentially raised/schooled in the wayfinder society. Starting as an apprentice and getting their degrees while employed.

2. Or alternatively Sloan has parents and was a genius who got a doctorate by the age of 16, which is really hilarious to think about considering how they act.
