set in the year 2005 & taking inspiration from the infamous taking back sunday / brand new feud, LONGISLANDFM is a love letter to early 2000s emo music, the ways technology changed how we communicate, and being a young adult in a small town trying to make something of yourself. the great beyond was on the road to success until one of the members got caught sleeping with another's significant other, causing a rift in the band. two of them departed to found double negative, picking up more of their extended friend group along the way. both bands are in direct competition now, and between exchanging dis tracks and trying to get picked up for this summer's warped tour, only time will tell if the rivalry will end up tearing the ten musicians & the friendships they once had apart.

I've been hunting for a specific Discord group.

I would love to join a group of writers who are 25+ who just ...write together. No overarching plot or specific story to follow; just a group of people who love exploring characters together. Sort of like the old drop-in, drop-out RPs back in the late 90s and early 2000s.

I just don't like the pressure of seeking out a 1x1 partner; I prefer to meet writers in a group setting and see where it goes from there.

To them, they were nothing more than just a pack of misfits. A group of outcasts that found family in the most unlikely of sources, amongst those with similar backstories. Though, at times there were disagreements, like in any family, it was peaceful. It was without worries of being tossed out or banished. It wasn’t perfect but it was home.

This is the tale of ten paranormal beings and their pup forming a bond, mistakenly forming a pack far more powerful than any of them even realize. It will follow the tale from the start of their journey, exploring what it means to be a chosen family. A rocky start, followed by trials and tribulations, all made worthwhile by the end result. A sanctuary for them, to just be them.

After a while, once us writers have gotten a feel for our characters, outside forces that want nothing more but to tear them down will infiltrate and interfere. Will their bond be enough? Is everyone as trustworthy as they’ve been made out to be? Only the threat of death can put that to the test.

The Rogue Pack is a five player roleplay, with four available slots. It will be heavily focused on the found family trope. Each player will start with one muse, giving us time to get acquainted with them; the muse decided will heavily impact where the roleplay will start. The idea is that, whilst I have built a foundation for the group, us five as a team will steer the group in the direction we deem fit. That means; discussing lore, deciding a time period, a location for this all to take place, etc.

good morning, everyone! first, we wanted to address something that has become sort of a reoccurring concern in our inbox, which is us receiving questions regarding stuff that can be found through browsing our pages, as well as receiving multiple questions that have been answered already in our ask tag. we’re asking future interested parties who might apply to this group to please review everything on our navigation page — one, out of courtesy to us for providing as much information as possible for those who happen upon this group, and two, because your question may have already been clarified! thank you so much for showing interest in our group, we truly appreciate you all, but we hope you understand where we’re coming from with this!
