63 Georgian and William IV mourning rings in gold with enamel from one of the most extensive "Mourning" collections collected by Elizabeth Snaith (1805-1890). The collection includes rings memorializing fifty distinct individuals and has been extensively researched. The listing includes documentation assembled by the collector, including the names on the rings, their family connections, history for some of the more notable names, and even extensive family trees for some of the families represented. Snaith exasperated by Trump but has last laugh
Speechless: President Trump is quieter now he has been gelded  PICTURE:Snaith Racing   By michael clower 4:00PM 7 MAR 2017  YOU would not be short of takers if offering the chance to silence President Donald Trump, or at least take away his Twitter account, and South African trainer Justin Snaith had to resort to the nuclear option with a horse carrying the same name. £1000 for Free Cakes for Kids Sheffield thanks to Marshes Cycling Club
Tumblr media
Riders from the Marshes Cycling Club and the local communities of Snaith and Goole came together on Sunday 14 September to raise an incredible £1000 for Free Cakes for Kids Sheffield with a 100 mile fundraising bike ride, cake sale and raffle.
Nick Megson lead 23 riders from the club on the journey which took in Tadcaster, Wetherby, Selby and York before returning to the Brewer's Arms in Snaith for cakes and a well deserved rest.
Have a look at the photos from the day...
We are so very grateful to the riders and local community for their incredible generosity - £1000 is a huge amount of money and will have a massive impact on Free Cakes for Kids Sheffield. The money raised will help us keep baking birthday cakes for children in the city, cover our essential costs and reach even more children who need birthday cakes over the next three years.
Needless to say, there are lots and lots of people we'd like to say thank you to:
Nick Megson, for organising this fantastic event and making the day possible
All the riders from the Marshes Cycling Club and their sponsors, Guardian Industries
Kevin Megson and Nigel Walker who drove the support van
Amanda Megson and Tracey Barnett who drove the support car
Debbie Haller - for keeping the riders supplied with cake and making a beautiful cake for the raffle
Ian Chesworth who raised £325 in sponsorship from friends and workmates at Whyte and Mackay
Darren and Tracey Barnett who made 200 chocolate chip cookies!
Sandra East and Allana Shaw for their help running the cake stall
Kim Broderick for running the raffle
Inez Mackie (8), Scarlet Mackie (11) and Mimi Cooper (11) for making beautiful loom bands (which raised £76!)
Big thanks to the Megson, Broderick and Waterworth families for turning out for the whole day, for your incredible support and generosity and for thoroughly testing out all the cakes...
Finally, to everyone who took the time to come along, donate, ride, eat some cake, buy a raffle ticket - thank you.
Kate, on behalf of the Free Cakes for Kids Sheffield team.

Fundraising bike ride for Free Cakes Sheffield - Sunday 14 September
Tumblr media
The very lovely cyclists at the Marshes Cycling Club in Snaith, East Yorkshire are holding a 100 mile fundraising bike ride for Free Cakes for Kids Sheffield on Sunday 14 September 2014.
Details about the event can be found here.
The ride will leave The Brewers Arms pub at 8am and take in Selby, York, Wetherby, Tadcaster before returning to Snaith for sandwiches, cakes and a well-deserved rest. Here's a map of the route. Please do get in touch if you'd like to take part!
Non-riders can enjoy cakes from the cake stall at the Brewers Arms. For riders, we'll make sure there is plenty of energy boosting cake in the support vehicles during the race!
The Marshes Cycling Club is helping us raise money so we can keep baking cakes for kids in Sheffield - the money raised will help us supply ingredients to our volunteers and contribute towards running costs without which we couldn't continue.
If you'd like to donate to support the riders and help Free Cakes for Kids Sheffield, you can donate online now or come along to the event on Sunday 14 September. Here's a map of the pub.
You can find out all about the club on the Marshes Cycling Club website. We're so grateful for their support and looking forward to a great Sunday bike ride!
