The argument had abruptly come to an end at his words. It was strange for her to hear those words come from Richard's lips. They had long become brotherly and sisterly towards one another but it was another for him to openly express such affection (especially given his recent loss).

Wendy had been in a car accident, G at her side, but now that she was home..... Richard had been assigned to watch over her. No doubt G's idea of punishment to keep him out of the field for a spell, but Wendy was the worst of patients. Arguing to push her limits, and her safety given that Blofeld (her attacker) was still at large.

Her features instantly softened. Wendy knew there was danger, but G and now even Richard insisting so fervently to remain hidden and out of sight was staggeringly telling.

"I'm really in that much danger......." she almost asked, but mostly came as a realization.
