So Ik I said that I decided to call evil morty Evan whenever I talk abt him or whenever he’s in a Fic (older fics will still have Mal as the name I’m too lazy to go back and fix all that), but I’m currently writing another Fic using the new name that I decided on (Evan) and idk if it feels weird or not… tho it might just be something that I need to get used to

So I decided to ask you guys on wha t you though!

Just a head up tho I will still be using Eve as a pet name, no matter which one wins the poll

*Link’s Awakening spoiler warning*

my mom got me links awakening when i was 16, and since i was playing animal crossing every day i didn’t bother to play it. then last week i decided to try it out after 2 years. long story short i got addicted to this game and i played it for multiple hours a day all week until i beat the game last night. (yes, i did the whole thing in 6 days! including a little help from the polygon walkthrough in the dungeons because i kept getting lost oopsies) anyway, i sorta knew what the ending would be like from the face key clue and i was reading fanfic that mentioned koholint island. (i hope this puts a read-more thing so ppl who haven’t played the game won’t be spoiled!)

the wind fish’s egg was fun (and a little frustrating lol). i had to use crazy tracy so i would have 2 rounds of hearts to make it through all the bosses. then it was finally time to wake up the fish. i had already said goodbye to the village and the people in it beforehand. when the fish woke up it said “but verily, it be the nature of dreams to end…” and i realized gulliver references this in animal crossing! anyway we awoke together, with me playing the instruments, and everything on the island disappeared. link woke up on a log out at sea with the island gone and only the wind fish left.

the ending to this game was literally so emotional for some reason. i’m with the ppl who say link lives (there are gulls which means he should be close to land), but all the memories he made on the island were just a dream. it’s probably the closest i’ve come to crying from a freakin video game.

tl:dr the ending to links awakening will stick with me and i’m still reeling because this game is so amazing.
