It's been awhile since I've written for a fandom so bear with me

Jack could care less for a mobile game, but when the game is constantly advertised to you with seemingly interesting topics, it's a bit a difficult to ignore. Besides it was one of those days where he had nothing going on. He'd download it, if he hates it, he'll delete it. No one will find out.

There are many characters, but only one catches his eye. A short, blonde girl with hair resembling ears. Renny plays a minor role, only really speaking when spoken to. In short, she's rather shy. It's not the "nice" shy though. Jack comes to find that it's more like the "do you need something?" kind of shy.

Her first interaction with the main character is blunt, almost seeming spaced out. As time goes on, her lines become much more nurturing and caring. From monotone short answers to long friendly ones.

Jack has no idea why he likes her so much. Maybe the short, but carefully crafted character growth? Maybe the way she gives good advice in troublesome situations? Maybe the way she works diligently in her studies? Maybe the way she responds to being tapped repeatedly on the home screen?

"Keep doing that and I'll have to fight back...!" She gives a widened stare

He didn't even mean to, he just wanted to hear all her lines.

It's gone to the point where Jack emphasizes reading Renny's vignettes over others and even hopes he wins her on the gacha.

Is it weird to admire a fictional character like this?

What a weird feeling. It's probably nothing...

Note: Jack did in fact buy a Renny nui. He hides her away from all his dorm mates.

1. sooooo, there's this gacha game I've been playing 👉👈

but yeah, number one at this time is Love and Deepspace, and specifically Zayne, who is my husband! is it cringe? yeah, but it's a fucking amazing game.

2. aesthetical journaling. it's a lot of fun, for sillies and character development, for self-development, and I got a bestie who does it too and we share pics of our works on discord to each other, it's a lot of fun. it's relaxing too.

3. video calling my bestest bestie's cats, not her, the cats, that is my niece and nephew and they are so funny. the last time we called, her husband and I were both falling asleep while she was messing with them, and the two of us were sleep talking to them. it was so sweet and fun.

4. reading villainess manwhas. I love a bad girl. Penelope Eckhart and Cha Siyeon, you both have my whole ass heart!

5. buying little trinkets, pens, stickers, funkos, plushies whatever. is it a good hobby? no, but it's controlled enough that it's not a problem, and I love knick knacks and bits and bobs. they are precious to me.

jeeeeesssus christ i gotta tell y'all about the MISERABLE EXPERIENCE I'VE BEEN HAVING

okay so i've been trying to play pokemon masters ex. here's the process i've gone through.

dig out my old phone, because the game is incompatible with this one.

turn on this phone's mobile hotspot because i do not have home internet.

start downloading the latest update in the app store. it is very slow. my mobile hotspot is very ass.

old phone suddenly forces me to download a system update. this takes forever.

finally finish with that. have to restart the download of pmex.

finally finish downloading pmex update.

open game.

game throws an error and wants me to clear the cache. ok.

game tells me that clearing the cache will also clear all the additional data other than my progress. and i'll have to redownload this additional data.

that sounds annoying but fine.

that was all in a few hours.

it has been two days since i started this process.

downloading the extra data is mind numbingly slow.

and i've had to do it in chunks because it sucks up the battery of both my phones and makes this one overheat.

at least exiting out and going back in later doesn't start me over, the amount of data it tells me it needs to download has gone down almost each time.

last night i left both phones doing their thing overnight. woke up and this phone was oddly cool.

checked old phone. at some point during the night it had thrown an error and hadn't been downloading anything since.

fine. whatever. at least it got some stuff downloaded.

continue downloading for a while.

notice that the progress bar had gone from 15% to 4%.

it does this a few more times, and re-entering the app shows that it's hardly downloaded anything since this morning.

fucking hell i'm just gonna go to the library tomorrow and use their wifi.

....all this and i don't even LIKE POKEMON MASTERS EX. I THINK IT'S A BORING GAME.

but a few days ago i saw N in an advertisement for the game and wanted to see if i could get him in the gacha 😳👉👈

i probably fucking won't because my gacha luck is abysmal in every game ever WHAT AM I EVEN DOING???????

*sigh* the things i do for love...

i mean. what.

???? i've literally told someone i want TO MARRY HIM and i'm EMBARRASSED TO IMPLY THAT I LOVE HIM????

Believe me if I could give out my gacha luck right now I would! 😄 I hope you'll be able to get as much enjoyment from the anniversary event as you can! Despite the new Celestial Blessing thing (which can be... frustrating to say the least), the Pop Quiz is really cool and the second part arrives in a few days!

As for future posts, I'm working on two new headcanons posts for all brothers and an angsty thing with Solomon. Dunno when that last one will be done, but one of the headcanons is very easy to do since it's relatively short so it should be posted sometime next week. Glad you're looking forward to them! 🫂
