Today's reading is a career reading about "What should I focus on to achieve success in my chosen field?"

The reading is going to be kept open regardless of your chosen professional field to be applicable to various situations. I will focus on two aspects: 1) an analysis of your current situation so that you can asses and work on yourself; but also 2) the steps you can take in the world to better the situation.

Let's start with where you're currently in your career to see if it resonates with you and if you got the right pile. For some of you, it seems you've recently experienced a pretty harsh turn of events in your career that was sudden and unexpected. Perhaps you got laid of or something you were hoping would work didn't. For others, it could also be that you're still waiting for luck to turn in your favor, you may be looking for the job or opportunity of your dreams and feeling quite frustrated by the constant struggle. If we're talking about success, we need to define what success is like for you in your chosen field. Regardless of the setbacks you face, you're able to stay on track and keep your eyes on the price. Rather, you should plan ahead and take deliberate steps and building your foundations with a directed focus instead of splashing around. You also need to be mindful of your words and how you come across and keep the idea of collaboration in mind, be it through working directly with people or through networking I'm getting. With that said, you still need to be your own spokesperson so be assertive and don't let competition trample you over. Perhaps your field is very competitive so you'll have to learn to find that stimulating and bloom in that instead of feeling crushed and diminished. There is also the idea that you will be able to achieve success through the help of people around you. It can either be family, friends or work connections you networked with. Perhaps you need to team up with someone and start to make your own path. Regardless, don't look at everyone like they are a potential threat but see the opportunities that can arise when you join forces.

Finally, you need to believe in your own success and abundance. Yes things aren't so great right now but it doesn't mean it will always be the case. You need to learn to believe you're the one in control of your life and lean into that power.

I'm getting drawn to the idea that the task you're trying to tackle requires many different elements of things to learn or acquire, so really focus all your attention toward one at a time, make it stable and fully integrated, and move onto the next stage of your progress.

We'll start by looking at your current situation regarding your love life.

It seems something has been growing in your love life for a while now. I'm thinking the early stages of a relationship or a crush situation. Zooming out, the growth seems steady, but it's possible that it wasn't so smooth when you look at it on the day to day. Some days might have felt like take 2 steps backward, and the next day you would move forward again. As a result you might be loosing your patience a little, ignoring the fact that things are indeed moving forward, even though not as fast as you want them to, or not exactly the way you want them to. Really, this state of stagnancy is your doing and you need to own up to the fact and get out of that hole. Whatever you decide to do, you need to shake things up drastically and take a more active part in your love life.

What you need to release with the Sun, I get the idea that you're a bit too childish and immature when it comes to love matters, or at least in this situation. The card shows a child on a horse, but unlike the knight of wands who is in full control of his mount, the sun-child is merely waving his arms around and not doing much. It looks quite comical and does not embody a serious partner one might want to pursue. So I'm getting again the idea of the need to be more serious and committed, and releasing this naive mindset that things are going to fall on your lap without you doing anything at all.

For the most probably outcome in this situation, with the Four of Wands I was drawn to look up the astrological correspondence of the card and I got Venus in Aries, which is quite funny since Venus is currently in Aries until April 29th 2024 (writing this on the 23rd). I don't necessarily think this means everyone will find an outcome within the next few days, however, it does point out at changes happening presently, or as a direct result of this Venus in Aries season. Which again puts the idea of acting and stop wasting time.

It's also fun because it points at a very fiery approach to love, much like what the Knight of Wands was suggesting. Instead of worrying whether they love you or not, whether you should move on or not, you're being advised to go and find out. With the 4 of Wands as this placement in the tarot, there is an idea of celebration and coming together. The characters on the card are inviting, as if to welcome you in their circle, or hinting at a festive event or a gathering. A positive outcome is definitely possible, and if not, it's the opportunity to move on from heartache and find a better future with your heart unburdened.

The underlying energy is presented by the Ace of Cups, which definitely speaks of an exciting time for romantic feelings, where feelings are being birthed and coming to light. There is opportunity for a renewal in this connection.

PILE 2

We'll start by looking at your current situation regarding your love life.

With the Devil as you current situation, it is possible that you're crushing on someone or are in a non-committed relationship with someone that is loaded with sexual energy. However, it also points at an obsessive dynamic in the relationship which fosters an unhealthy atmosphere. It is clarified by the Lovers and the Queen of Swords, so I think there might be someone in this relationship hoping for love, and someone with their walls up, appearing cold and distant, even if there is physical intimacy at play here. It's also possible that the one interested in committed love doesn't respect their own boundaries and let themselves being stringed along.

As to what's going for you, I see you embracing clarity and the desire to cut through bullshit at this point. A part of you wants to reach the truth of this situation and is willing to think about it deeply. Get your sense of agency back by either communicating your needs and fears or by taking the time by yourself to work on that. You need to release your hope that the situation will solve itself without making a choice. I get the idea that you keep imagining how things could be, or would be if X or Y happened, but you're not taking the necessary step towards your wish.

All of this is highlighted by the general energy of the reading, which is all about going back to decision making after a time of hesitation. It's going to be your role to know which decision you need to make and how though, but you need to leave the harbor at some point.

For the outcome of this situation, I see you moving on to better days, letting go of this situation that doesn't fulfill you and going through a very social phase where you're going to either form new connections, or get back in touch with friends and celebrate your newfound freedom. First off, let's look at your current love life.

For this pile, I don't think there is anyone specific in the picture for you. I see two possible situations depending on the people. Some of you might have experienced a breakup and are now in your new chapter, having left behind that situation and being past that; for others, I see you waiting for a relationship to show up eventually like some big turn of events. In both cases, you have a very open and carefree attitude right now, enjoying the moment and I get the idea that you might be enjoying casual sex as well, for some of you at least. I believe tarot can be a wonderful tool of self discovery and to gain clarity over certain situations. My aim is to shine light on what you can't see, so that you can empower yourself. I case a reading is heavier, I'll always give keys to overcome what you're struggling with, and I like to close readings with advice regardless of the question.

I'm mindful of readings that focuses too heavily on future outcomes as fixed and unchangeable things, because I believe that it's better to learn to have your own agency over your life rather than acting like a leaf blown in the wind.

I'd rather give keys to navigate and understand a situation so that you can walk your own path.

Pick a Card readings - what I learned as a viewer/consumer

Part 02 of my vision of the use of pick a card readings. I’m someone who makes them but I also consume them as a viewer. I wanted to combine both in a post but it’s too damn long so I divided in two parts. Part 1, reader (link); and this is part 2, consumer.

Part 02 - From a viewer point of view

I discovered pick a cards readings on YouTube back in 2017, was super into them for like a couple years before distancing myself from that whole thing due to realizing the spiritual bullshit I was getting myself into (it's a story on its own, so perhaps I'll go back to it at another time).

Found my way back to them back in December 2023, again on YouTube, then Tumblr, due to a specific love situation I needed insight on but for some reason wasn't willing or able to divine on on my own.

The Good & the Bad

I definitely think that they can bring actual insight to a situation. There were many time where I was blown-away by how accurately a pile described my situation, despite feeling like I was just ''randomly'' choosing the first one that pulled me in.

It's definitely an interesting exercise of intuition, to see if you're connected well to yourself and if you're able to grab the thread that shines with your color the most. It's quite fun to see that some days it seems really easy to find your pile from the first try, and some days you just struggle, or don't find it at all.

It's a nice way to get familiar with the feeling of your intuition ''clicking'' when you're looking at all the piles, and makes you realize that it's something that's available to a lot of people, and that's fascinating on its own.

That whole thing made me think about what was happening exactly. Like, is this internet reader I've never interacted with actually reading on my personal energy or situation? I don't think so. I went into it a bit in part 01 but yeah I think those readings target too general energies for that. I see it more like story lines floating in the air, and the reader is guided towards translating one of them (by who or why, I don't fucking know).

Don't get me wrong, it might still be accurate because we human are unique but we also are all the fucking same deep down, and history repeats itself all the time.

It's a game of resonance, as in, you're naturally drawn to the pile that holds the same note as the one you hold inside. And sometimes you do stumble upon a reading that is so crazy specific that it seems like it was made just for you. Not gonna get too into that because I found this post by @helianthus-tarot that explains it very well already.

However, something I've experienced myself and anyone has to be super careful about, is to not over do it.

I think it's very easy to end up in a toxic cycle when you keep looking at tarot spreads about the same topics. What happens is that you keep getting slightly different answers, which make you confused about the situation, so you want to find more, and confuse yourself even further in the process, thus starting an obsessive cycle of not feeling satisfied with anything.

It also removes your sense of agency. You end up trusting what you read online more than your own intuition and guidance and you abandon yourself, in a way.

I'm saying that because I went through phases where I was ob-sess-ed with those damn PAC because of a love situation that was frustrating me a lot, and my mood would actually fluctuate a ton if I got a good one or a bad one. It's like I was trapped inside my own head and was just mirroring the chaos happening within me and mistaking it for reality. It's possible that some of them were actually real but I had no way of knowing because I was seeking as many PAC in a day as I could, thus drowning any useful message and keeping myself in a state of fear that colored everything else.

So yeah that's your PSA to be more mindful about what PAC you decide to read or watch. Don't just read everything all the time. Take breaks and only do it if you actually have a clear issue in mind and feel called to a reading, and once you get the message you needed, let it rest until you or the situation develops further.

Pick a Card readings - how I views them as a reader & the different perceptive skills used

So I wanted to talk a bit about my vision of the use of pick a card readings. I'm someone who makes them but I also consume them as a viewer. I wanted to combine both in a post but it's too damn long so this will be divided in two parts. Part 1, reader; Part 2, consumer.

Part 01 - From a reader's point of view

It's definitely quite interesting to work on because you start with *zero* context and preconception about the person, since you don't know who it is meant for precisely. So your interpretation of the cards and intuition are not short-circuited by your preconceptions about either what you know of the person, or the context they gave you.

This allows me to let myself go fully into creating a story in my head from what I see in the cards. I found myself being much more relaxed when doing these readings, because I'm not scared about being wrong about a person's life since I imagine that someone somewhere will find it resonates. I can even include multiple ''streams'' in my reading since, again, it's meant for different people. For example I might interpret a struggle in two different ways and include both in the readings, if both feel relevant. That doesn't mean I say whatever comes out of my head, I still need to chose what aspect of the card resonates and creates a coherent narrative with the other cards, but it clears the way for intuition to flow more freely.

What I discovered is that it is a good exercise to strengthen my intuition and allows me to feel more at ease with it because I don't try to hold it back so much.

It's also quite fascinating because it allows me to feel different types of energy quite strongly in a short time span.

For example, the feel of the energy (or vibe or whatever you want to call it) is not the same at all if I get a very spiritual pile vs one that talks about a love situation. The first one, I once remember feeling the weight of the message I was relaying, perhaps due to the spirits that came to answer the question, or perhaps due to the nature of the query. It was also a reading that left me quite tired and I had to take a nap after it because it was just sooo much (not negatively, just a lot). Whereas a love situation will feel more lighthearted or even bubbly at times and put me in a goofy mood.

But you also get different feelings even on the same topic. Like the vibe of Pile 1 vs Pile 2 can feel drastically different, without even having to look at the cards.

I find that both fascinating intellectually and to be a great exercise in shaping my psychic skills and reading accuracy. It's quite hard to put into words and I still have a lot to learn about that, but I can definitely tell the difference.

However, there's definitely a case here of two different types of perception in use, which I'm going to attempt to describe.

Broad Perception

One is what I call ''broad perception''. As the name suggest, this type of perceptive skill allows you to cast a broad net and gather information widely, without getting too much into individual details.

It's a way to be able to get messages from multiple sources at once, creating a big landscape that is quite blurry and lacks details.

It's very useful when you are doing pick a card readings when you can't focus on one single person or situation without making the message irrelevant for everyone else.

Precise Perception

The other is what I call ''precise perception'' and well I imagine you get the gist but it's when you're trying to gather details and really dive deep into a problem or situation.

It's great in personal readings, but even in pick a cards, it's useful when you need to give someone a confirmation that the reading is indeed for them, because it allows you to pick up details that they will recognize and allow them to be open to the message you're trying to relay.

Which one is best?

Most people rely more on one than the other, but, really, you need both.

If you're too broad, you never give enough details to the querent and you risk being too general. The reading might still resonates but you're missing the opportunity to pull out specific information.

If you're too precise, then you run the risk of missing out on the bigger picture and focusing too much on a tiny aspect of the problem without seeing how it relates to the rest.

So both should be used if you want to be efficient, which is a long ass process and requires a lot of time and effort, and is the reason why I like doing both pick a card and personal readings, either for people I know or randos on the internet.

But yeah to get back to pick a cards, I think it's a great way to strengthen your broad perception, while learning to be mindful of your use of the precise perception, because, again, you don't want to be too focused on one person but also still be giving enough confirmation details.

Decided to update what I'm do not agree to read on, to use this as a reference post for future use. As always, I am free to refuse a reading if it's in too much of a grey area and I don't feel comfortable doing so. Health issues:

I refuse to read on severe health issues, or death related topics. General inquiry about improving you health and lifestyle is okay as long as you don't rely solely on this reading. Mental health is only okay if you're looking for additional support in conjunction to being followed by a professional.

Financial or legal issues:

These things are too serious to attempt a tarot reading on them. Go to you financial or legal advisor instead. It includes stocks, investments, gambling, lawsuits or legal trouble, and so on.

Future spouse, soulmates, twinflames, starseed

While I'm open to read about your existing love life or potential future relationships, I do not vibe with the above-mentioned concepts that are extremely new-age connoted, and no, it's not because I read tarot that I agree with these things. That just does not align with either my conception of how the future flows, or my personal cosmology and spiritual beliefs.

Reading on behalf of someone else

What I mean by that would be, for example, to ask what your mom should do in XYZ situation, or what you exe's love life is going to be like in the future, anything where you're not the focus of the reading. When inquiring about someone's influence on your life, it always has to come back to you because you are the one requesting the reading.

Celebrities and fictional characters:

Celebrities are under enough scrutiny without having to worry about internet stalkers praying on their energies, and as for fictional characters, I just find the idea very disconnected from reality, sorry not sorry.

Stalking and harm:

This should go without saying but if I sense that you have the intention of stalking or causing harm to someone, I will refuse your reading.

God(s):

I am not a guru nor a priest, therefore, I will not speak in the name of any deity or particular spirit. While I'm open to relay spiritual or magical messages, I will not name drop unprompted or ask a deity what they think about you. It's different for an existing relationship but we are in a grey area here so best would be to talk together about your query before the reading.

This may change at any moment if I realize I've forgotten something important or if my views have evolved.

At the time of writing this, March 21 2024, 7:03 AM, I wanted to take a moment to write down where I'm currently at on my journey.

This blog is not my first one, but I wanted to start fresh in order to allow myself a space to grow into something new.

I'm just 30, which may sound like a lot to some, but is really not that much in the grand scheme of things. Throughout the years, I've been through so much, good and bad, and I've seen so many iterations of myself. I am someone who regularly goes through deep changes, because I like to reinvent myself, and also because, I think, it's what life is all about for me. To always yearn for more, and to start with yourself. Because, really, your whole world can change drastically if you just change the way you see, feel, and think it.

Soaringwide came to be because I'm learning how to fly again, after collapsing so hard I though I would never be able to. I don't think I'm there quite yet, but I've made so much progress, I have to honor that.

The thing is, I'm not proud of much but if there's one thing I am proud of, it's my resilience. Yet I'm tired of it being put to the test. I long for peace and healing, for joyful moments, love and laughter shared freely. I don't want to continuously feel like the sky is going to metaphorically fall on my face.

The other thing is that I want to be able to express all facets of myself freely. Explore what it means and share it with others, because there is limited meaning and pleasure in keeping it for yourself only.

I think I have a lot to say, a lot to share, and perhaps it can even help others to some degree, but for so long I just kept it all in, never daring to take that step out of my comfortable and lonely bubble.

So yeah, here's to the start of a new chapter.

I see an issue with divining the career you will have, because I don't think there is only one given career path for anyone, the choice is yours to make, life doesn't happen to you, you make the choices that shape it.

You also didn't define what a ''good career'' is, I assume you mean financially, but I will also take personal fulfillment into account if the message arise.

Regardless, I'll try to see if some specific fields come up and rephrase your question a bit, and maybe add some steps or reflections you need to do in order to start walking that path.

What fields can you consider for a successful and fulfilling career?

So I wanted to define three potential paths but I ended up getting similar answers for the three. However, there are some slight differences in approach so I'll let you read what they are about.

The first idea I'm getting is a career that requires working around people's limitations and struggles to help them overcome them, by being using a rational and logical approach but also by taking emotions into account in order to help people process them and understand them. So what I'm getting is something that has to do with the field of psychology or psychiatry, but could also mean being a therapist or personal coach of some kind. In that sense you could be working for yourself as an independent rather than attached to a company or clinic.

The second idea also has to do with care given to others, helping people in difficult or vulnerable situations and bringing them joy and light. The idea of working as an independent is showing up again. Could be working with children or animals. The idea is being a figure that inspires wisdom and leadership in this field. The idea of helping create or remember good memories also came up.

Lastly, and again, it seems to point out at being a counselor of some sorts, this time in order to help people follow their heart and make decisions. Could be related to being an advisor of some kind, or a coach regarding matters of love and relationships, or weddings. I'm getting helping people achieve abundance on some level, perhaps by helping them achieve their goal, or an event, or a vision of theirs.

What to keep in mind to achieve success in your chosen career?

First of all, don't shy away from seizing the opportunities that may arise for you. There is an idea of being quick in your decision and acting fast not to let something go. Be confident and decisive in order to take advantage of the situation. Look for a position that is dynamic and stimulating and that help your sharpen your decision-making skills and show what you are capable of.

However, be mindful not to rush into something head first without having weighted the pros and cons first. Make sure the decision you take is grounded in logic and reality and not on irrational ideas and erratic energy. Keep a balanced mindset but don't let yourself go to indecision either.

Furthermore, be patient with yourself when settling into your new career as it will take time to feel fully comfortable. It will be good to balance the quick moving energies with a more grounded approach not to overheat yourself. You will need to rely on the mentorship of someone more experienced than you in order to ease into the process.

You will also need to be careful not to overextend yourself which could lead to you being fed up and overwhelmed with your job. So take time taking care of yourself and keeping an inner balance and contact with your inner world.

There will be a lot of new information to learn and process, so again, be patient and balance yourself while you are in this process, it will be worth it in the long run.

You chosen path will bring you success if you stick to it, are methodical and driven. Know what you want and go get it. Be determined to take control over your own destiny because you are the one with the hands on the wheel. The message of balance came back again, this time because you will need to temporize your feelings and doubts while nurturing your ambition. Both will be present so try not to negate one or the other. Negative emotions aren't to be banished, they are signals of pain here to warn you when to slow down or when a situation doesn't sit right with you. And your ambition is like a plant you need to water and take care of in order to have it bloom. Be perseverant and you will find the success you seek. The obstacles you will face will teach you a lot and make you stronger.

So as to where you're currently now, I think you may be feeling a bit over protective or defensive of your heart. You definitely want more from your love life and feel very determined to experience something, but it's like, you don't dare feeling fully optimistic about the future as you worry you're going to end up with nothing. It's kind of a protective mechanism not to get hurt, in the sense that if you don't dare hoping, then it may hurt less.

For what's going for you, with the 4 of wands I definitely feel like you're willing to step out of your house and go out and meet people, kinda like trying to find new circles and places to encounter a potential relationship, which is great. I'm getting these places being joyful and highly social, celebratory and welcoming. Perhaps you could even get help from friends or loved ones to expand your social circle through mutual connections.

As for what's hindering you, I think you've got some work to do in matters of releasing bonds and limitations from either past traumas surrounding intimacy, or from a past relationship. There is something that's still holding you back and that makes you feel like you can't get the new love that you're wishing for. There may have been a past unhealthy relationship that made you feel lessened, and I think that's why even with the desire and drive shown in the cards, you still have your boundaries up. I do think you've done a lot of work already (the devil is reversed so it's in the release position) so it's just a matter of keep pushing through it though.

I think that part of that healing process will happen through a new relationship though. As in, yes you have to work on yourself, but when you'll find that healthy and fulfilling relationship, it will help heal your wounds and release the pain. The rise of Spring & Starting Fresh

I noticed that a lot of resources about the magic of spring take a very cottagecore-y, whimsy vibe and yeah that's charming and all but it doesn't align with my own experience as an apartment-bound, night-owl, city rat.

To me spring feels almost painful at times. Like stretching out your limbs after sitting in the same position for too long. It makes me a bit anxious and restless as I'm waiting for it to settle fully.

There is always this back and forth between winter weather and spring for a few weeks, and I can feel it in my bones. A very uncomfortable time of transition that keeps everything up in the air.

But when it start, oh does it feel exhilarating! The slate is cleaned, feelings that I felt were gone rise again in my chest, my brain is bubbling with projects and ideas. Desire blossoms like a wild flower, I notice the unique beauty of all beings and fall in love at every corner.

The spirit of adventure lights up, and I want nothing more than roaming the streets to get drunk off the scents of the foliage mixed with the warm pavement, to explore my city and see it in a new light as the days grow longer. The nights aren't so cold and threatening anymore, the air is welcoming like a soft blanket. It is a foretaste of the summer to come, full of promises of the memories I'll make. Life is good and sweet again.

This sudden rise of energy can be life changing if embraced fully, because it's the opportunity to let go of the struggles experienced during winter and welcome a fresh start.

There was a time where I did magical rituals and celebrations to honor this moment in time, and there's definitely beauty and meaning in that. However, this year, I just want to open my heart to it and harvest this energy with simplicity, nothing more, and I think that's enough sometimes.

About your question on personal growth, it seems to be a check-in of some sorts to asses your current situation and see what advice comes to the surface and where more care is needed.

What needs improvement?

First of all, I think you're currently in a beautiful energy in your life and it's admirable that you want to dig deeper, and it seems you are being encouraged to do so. It takes a lot of courage and perseverance, and again, it's very beautiful! It seems there is indeed something precious to discover for yourself in this continuation of your journey.

I drew the archetype card the Starborn first (central column) so I think it's a good indication that an area of improvement is your spiritual life. It seems you are on the right track so nothing to worry about, but I'd say an advice would be to reconnect a little bit with your inspiration and, I'd say, blissful enthusiasm you felt when you were first starting on your journey. Being excited by the feeling of mystery, like a child full of hope for the future. It seems you may have a tendency to try to do things too perfectly and too rigidly, the way you think you need to do them rather than by following your inner wisdom. You might hold some limiting beliefs regarding that, that you need to shed. Perhaps some aspects of your practice are outdated or need some refreshment.

Which is also hinted at the left column of cards. But the goal here is to find balance with the two and not move from one extreme to the other.

I don't know whether you're already doing that or not, but practices surrounding dreams or spontaneous art making, or meditation that is receptive (not a focus exercise for example) could be good things to pick up for you and see where it leads you.

Steps you could take to implement this

I feel you on the overthinking, I'm the same lol So my goal with this reading is to provide some clarity and advice on how to move forward with this relationship.

To start off I wanted to inquire about you vs him in this relationship. I didn't want to pry into his thoughts and feelings but rather inquire about both of your current state and see what came out.

So first, you: you said it yourself that you were overthinking and that definitely shows in the cards. You mind is quite active, turning and turning scenarios in your head trying to figure out what's happening and what's gonna happen. This is making you very stressed and you end up feeling super confused because everything is mixed up in your mind and your heart is heavy. It is significant that you appear looking on his side of the spread, but you don't really know if you can trust the situation so you appear unstable and indecisive, not grounded or centered on yourself. You seem to be in a situation where you're trying to run away from your own inner chaos and look outside for answers instead of looking in.

What's very interesting on his side though is that he seems to be very focused on himself, going through an time of introspection, working on his limiting beliefs and behaviors in a quest to better himself and feel more whole and balanced. It seems he's either about or in the process of breaking free from past burdens which may or may not have to do with love and which may be have been getting in the way of him exploring that side of life and of himself.
