Awe fills him as he makes his way toward the final shrine. The cold is biting, sure, but Yunobo ignores it in favor of reaching out.

He catches the quickly melting clusters on his hands first, and then, as he’d heard of little Hylians doing, tips his head back to catch them on his tongue. He laughs, the warmth of it a sharp contrast to the chill surrounding him.

It’s fun to roll around in, he finds, kicking up cold clouds as he goes.

Perhaps he gets a little sidetracked, messing around on Mount Hylia. But can you blame him?

Cold rain falls upon the Domain, as it has been for the last few weeks. For a moment, he watches the droplets collect on the pathways. He sighs.

The Domain is quiet; the sun has scarcely started to rise. He refuses to look at the statue of his sister as he leaves.

He reaches the deck facing the angry Vah Ruta. Sidon stares at it for a long moment, expression intense but unreadable, before he begins to pace.

It doesn’t take him long to come to a decision. What kind of prince would he be if he didn’t take action?

He backs away as the Igneo Talus rises from the lava, blistering droplets falling from it and splattering across the stone around them.

It takes him a moment to realize something’s off, but it’s immediately impossible to ignore. It’s not a normal Talus. It’s almost more magma than stone, burning bright red and bubbling with gold. Yunobo stares up at it with wide eyes.

The thing turns toward him slowly, heeded by its own bulk. He whispers a swear, reaching for his bow.

Every Goron knew what the Igneo Talus Titan was— but none of them thought it was real!

She’s not going to cry. She’s not.

But she shouts, into the cold stone halls across from her cell. Fury burns like lightning in her veins. Declarations of “how could you”s and “how dare you”s and every swear she knows.

They had slain her. Riju’s own mother, the chief of the Gerudo! She is righteously furious for her people— and she is selfishly angry for herself. They took her mother. She’s leading the Gerudo, saving Hyrule, at twelve years old, all because they wanted to—! A sharp strangled scream escapes her.

It melts into sobs. So much for not crying.
