So excited about that I finally got to make a dress with this fabric that I've been obsessing over for months! Its from Art Gallery Fabrics and it's so soft and flowy. The pattern is a Betty Dress from Sew Over It with added bodice lining and massive inseam pockets. As a minuscule person, I always end up having to alter patterns significantly to get them even close to fitting. I took 2 inches at least out of the width of the bodice so that it didn't hang like a bag with the straps barely on my shoulders. I'm still not convinced I got the fit just right, but I'm SOOOO glad I did a muslin first to work out how to alter the pattern. I'd hate to waste all that gorgeous fabric. After washing the dress on high heat I think it fits well enough now. At least I can still eat in this dress without having to unzip the back. 😐 I also reduced the length of the skirt by about 5 inches to account for the limited amount of fabric I had and my height. #artgalleryfabrics #bettydress #soibettydress #sewoveritpattern #sewoverit #blithe #circleskirtdress #sewing #dressmaking #arcadiabliss
