Downtown Shibuya in the middle of the day isn’t the most relaxing place to be. The metro is packed as are the streets outside it, and it’s famous crossing never seems to be void from seas of people. Crowds aren’t exactly something Squall actively tries to engage in unless there are photo opportunities to be had, and admittedly this part of Tokyo has many of them. 

However, he isn’t here today to watch people, take photos of them in their most candid light. No, there’s work to be done today in the form of a garment bag clasped closely in his arms, and the shoe box slung across his back. As much as the brunette takes pride in his camera work, fashion design is the greatest strength he possesses.  

It’s windy as he steps out onto the street, and the cover of a black greatcoat is suddenly more appreciated than a few minutes ago when on a hot train. Squall makes his way over the scramble crossing towards a Starbucks nestled comfortably within a book shop. He knows it well having spent many hours there drawing or reading, though generally he tends to frequent the independent places that have better coffee, but many of those don’t boast ten floors of books. 

He spots the blonde man with ease midst a sea of black and brown heads and is pleased to see that Tidus remembered his espresso as per-requested via text a little while ago. Upon reaching their window table, he bows politely and sets the unveiled outfit down. “Hi. You’re early today, colour me shocked.” Looks like he learned from our past meetings, good. Coat removed, Squall takes a seat opposite his companion, sharp silvery-blue eyes meeting brighter ones. “I think it’s finally done. The yellow tartan for the trousers was hard to get a hold of though, but I got it.”

While there was nothing remotely resembling this hideous metal crab back in his world, Kuja wasn’t entirely unfamiliar with mechanical devices; Terra had been full of magic infused technology; He could at least offer an educated guess for his temporary, naive companion.

i’d probably make it a gunbreaker / dragoon kind of deal as seen in xiv where you can easily change jobs without consequence but also i just think square enix is cowards for not giving us the ability to change jobs on the fly like they showed in the shadowbringers trailer. but he’s also an au ra which is a dragon human hybrid. so -
