boyfriend!soobin who is so excited yet so, so nervous for you to meet odi, his cute lil pet hedgehog,, he knows that a hedgehog is not the most conventional pet, but once he see that you're just as eager as him, the nerves twisting his stomach into knots quickly fade away <3

boyfriend!soobin who decides to make a whole date out of it because why not? he takes you out to a cute lil cafe and then you go for a walk through a small botanical garden nearby, hand in hand and both of you sporting bright grins as you talk. before you know it, you're heading back to his place, the sky above a bright, cloudless blue and the sun high in the sky, reflecting your lighthearted, giddy moods ^^

boyfriend!soobin who opens the front door for you while he warns you that his pet can be a bit...standoffish at first when meeting new people. he tells you about how the little guy bit yeonjun when he first met him, mimicking the screech that the older boy emitted when it happened. "soobin, am i gonna get rabies? oh my god! i'm gonna get rabies!" soobin dramatically mocks, loud enough for yeonjun to open his bedroom door and stare out at the two of you menacingly. you're nearly crying in laughter at the scene while soobin quickly drags you into his own room — but not without a quick, disingenuous "sorry, hyung!" before he's slamming the door shut..the two of you collapse into a heap of limbs onto his bed, laughing together until you're breathless <333

boyfriend!soobin who, once both of you calm down, guides you over to odi's enclosure and sits down cross-legged next to you, his knee bumping against your own. you watch quietly as he reaches down to pick the hedgehog up, cooing at how gently soobin cups him in his hands,, he asks if you'd like to try and hold him, too, and you nod, albeit a bit hesitantly. odi is adorable, but soobin's brief warning still rings in your mind...you just want odi to like you, okay? the corner of your boyfriend's lips curl up in a tiny, reassuring smile as he says that it's okay, you can work up to that, setting odi down so that he can wander

boyfriend!soobin who is astonished when odi immediately scurries up to you and tries to climb into your lap. you gasp quietly as you pick him up, the hedgehog adorably curling up in your palms before you set him down on your thighs, where he lays peaceful and unbothered. when you look back up at soobin, heart racing as you smile in disbelief, you find him wide-eyed, lips parted in shock at the sight. "he likes you already," he breathes, grinning as he watches his beloved pet allow you to gently pet his spines ^^
