the amount of brainrot ive seen over the past 48 hours has put SUCH a bad taste in my mouth. keyboard warriors over here foaming at the mouth for watchers head as if they are in any way equivalent to musk or bezos or zuckerberg, its so stupid. like this is not in any way equivalent to fuckin tesla and facebook and whatever the hell muskrat has going on, and to say it is is SO out of touch and ridiculous and just proves that these people have no idea what they are talking about. it honestly seemed like so many people were looking for reasons to turn on them and are using this to blow everything out of proportion. are they wealthy? yeah sure. are they Eat The Rich wealthy? not anywhere close lmao. someone living comfortably in a rich area is not the same as having houses all over the world, as buying out major platforms for Funsies, and while they did handle this whole issue in maybe the worst way they possibly could, them wanting more security in their company and the money to be able to handle their projects to the level they want them to be at is NOT synonymous to mega billionaires who are the actual, LITERAL cause of climate change. sorry for ranting i am just so over this whole situation and you have been so level headed and understanding and you and like 2 other blogs are the only ones i trust to not start foaming at the mouth at first opportunity. im not even going on twitter to see what the hell is happening over there. its rancid, im sure

I also think he'd grow up trying to ignore spirits, signs, his own intuition, etc. He'd just try to be as "normal" as possible and there isn't anything really happening anyway. It's not until he starts those mini true crime videos with Brent that everything starts amping up in a way that he can't ignore. It's the filming of the three haunted locations with his new co-host and the activity is borderline unbearable. 1

Ryan can fully see and hear all the spirits in the house, human or other. He knows they're on a tight scheduled but he needs to take a break and sit down. He desperately wants to tell Shane but he knows that it would be beyond useless and he'll prob just think he's crazy and leave the show, crushing their new friendship. Shane can tell somethings wrong but he thinks it's just something to do with Ryan's disability. He's just thankful this isn't happening on spider island or a bridge 2

OOOO interesting i like this a lot!! i love this take of ryan figuring out hes psychic right when he starts unsolved. but i think ryan would not be conflicted at all about not telling shane a thing tbh 😭 like he’d make up his mind right away to not tell him at all bc like you said, he wouldn’t want to lose their easy friendship but also shane probably wouldn’t even bat an eye before calling him crazy skdhskdhdj

the beginning of their friendship didnt have that foundation of understanding each other and married levels of empathy yet. i dont think they were confiding in each other all that much until a couple years later. and it was probably all very tentative, trying to figure out what’s passed as a laugh and what actually hurts when they joke with each other. and dont even get me started on their avoidance of physical closeness bc skdjsksj

anyways back to the topic i got carried away sorry about that djhddj 😭 i think ryan would wait yearsss until he felt comfortable enough with shane to even contemplate confiding in him about his abilities. like it’d definitely be a huge slow burn type thing and honestly i do love a good slow burn 🥰
